  1. For anyone that isn't yet on the mailing list and hasn't been to my website/MySpace in the last few days... Here are those previews. (You lazy bums! ) Red July Hajime Shadows My main WIP at the moment definitely harkens back to Prayer in some ways, as Andy remarked. It's eerie, like a temple shrouded in mist.
  2. I think the 100 copies will disappear within a matter of weeks! ^-^
  3. Yes, the breakdown is solid theory-wise. I voted NO before, but this further enforces my decision. Would definitely NO again in a re-vote.
  4. I've been following the progress of this album and a half for a while. I'd say I have over half the songs already downloaded, but not all remastered and stuff - SO excited! "Dream of the Innocent" is the most beautiful song you'll ever hear. I ordered my physical copy, despite the $21 price tag. ^o^ Yet! Helen had said on her MySpace that she's looking to collaborate with a female vocalist in a classical crossover style, so I immediately jumped on that. She was all for it, but we'll have to wait a while since we're each a little preoccupied with our albums at the moment. Though what would be REALLY cool is if we could feature it as a special guest track on my release this spring. Good way to keep promoting "Inside Myself" as well... You guys should definitely check out the Zine she's starting up through the FaeFly Records page. I think it's gonna be a great resource.
  5. Don't worry, Shadows is good. I'm just saving up the best parts.
  6. I demand baby pictures!
  7. You missed the one day sale! Andy had Antigravity up for $5 on the 1st, hehe. But that's okay, it's worth the full price anywho.
  8. Naughty wingless, with your naughty comments on my Facebook album. *slaps wrist*
  9. Wow, so many lurkers out there... In just four days my mailing list has gone from zero to over 50 people. Gonna wait a couple more days for stragglers to hop on, but previews soon!!!
  10. For anyone that isn't receiving their confirmation emails: 1. Check your spam filter! The message subject has a bunch of letters and numbers in it, which make it look kind of like junk. It's ugly, but I can't change it unfortunately. 2. If you still don't have it, I will go back and manually add you in. I've been saving the contact emails. Just let me know if you think you've slipped through; I'll post when I actually use the list for the first time. It'll probably be at least a few more days.
  11. As long as you put in your email address *and checked off the Join box*, you should be fine. I think I remember seeing you in there, anyway. :>
  12. Yeah, I looked into it last night with the help of zircon and Xerol, but unfortunately there's no way to change it. At least it's just a one-time email? :/
  13. I can't manually add you to the list without knowing your name and email address, but it's easy. Just go to this page, enter your return address, check off the "Join my Mailing List" box, and click submit. You will then receive an ugly confirmation email that requires you click one last link to activate your subscription. ^_~
  14. Absolutely. Previews soon! I want to give first dibs to the people on the mailing list (which includes you now), and then I'll put some short clips up on my website and MySpace.
  15. Thanks! And yeah, to expand upon what zircon said earlier... I think you'll find the tracks on this album of higher quality than a lot of my remixes here. I've been paying much more attention to detail than I normally would for a vg tune, and with Andy's mastering expertise things should sound pretty polished in the end. :>
  16. I probably won't do any vg remixes on the album, mostly for legal reasons because I'm too lazy to go through the permissions process... But never say never.
  17. Hey guys. I have a bit of exciting news to announce. First and foremost, my first original album is currently underway! That's right - one album, one me, and... an indeterminate number of songs. ^_~ When will be the release, you ask? I'm shooting for this coming spring, 2008. A realistic goal, I believe, but I'll hold off on the specifics until things are closer to completion. The album itself will feature soaring vocal tracks mixed with a dash of ethnic/electronic flavor. Inspired by such artists as Enya and Loreena McKennitt, I hope to envoke an emotional response through my music while exploring new methods of lyrical communication. If you've downloaded any of my video game remixes, expect music along a similar vein... only better! Special appearances from zircon, and possibly other interested artists from the community, as well. Now, if you are a particularly zealous fan - or even a mildly curious person - then you're in luck! I have finally set up an official mailing list, which will allow me to send out the occasional update with samples of my current work, release dates, and other tasty tidbits. If you're at all interested, don't hesitate to join! Just head over to the "Contact" page on my website, enter in your email address, and check off the "Join my Mailing List" option before submitting. I doubt I'll email you more than once a month, but you can always remove yourself from the list if you decide you've heard enough of my voice for a while. Anyway, I'm definitely psyched for this project. I have two tracks completely finished, one almoooost done, another in progress, and several rough sketches. Things are coming along well! I'll post a couple previews on my site and myspace in a bit, but first dibs to those on the mailing list. :>
  18. It's Jimmeh! I sawr 'im! In his berthdeh suit!
  19. Kyle pretty much summed it up. We recorded our own ends of the conversation using free audio programs (Audacity, Cacaphony, etc.) and merged them at the end. The tricky part is timing the recordings to begin at basically the same time. You don't want to throw off your listeners by having a delay - or overlap - in conversation. Also something to watch out for... Make sure that you are listening to your cohost at a pretty low volume. If the headphones spill sound, your mic will pick it up and then there will be an echo effect once you've merged the conversation. Btw, Larry doesn't have any podcasting experience other than his occasional guest appearance on VGDJ; he did liiiiive radio. ^_~
  20. Thanks, Abadoss! I think Kizyr is going to send them to me, though. He PM'ed me about it. :>
  21. Oh no! I didn't see this until now. Happy belated birthday, Xerol! *chirp chirp chirp*
  22. Hahahaa... That comic is great. *save* As for the guitar question (too lazy to check who asked it), here's a detailed account: zircon and I found the already silver-bodied guitar for $30 on ebay, plus another $30 for shipping. I ordered silver spray paint from an art store and he and Bahamut helped me paint the neck, headphones, boots, etc during the Philly meetup last month. I knew about BGC's wife's expertise in polymer clay design, so I placed an order for all the custom SNES buttons with her. Once they arrived, Andy and I spray painted a manilla folder, and I used various glasses to trace the different circle sizes for the back of the D and button pads. A little adhesive, and we were good to go. Very pleased with the results, and huge kudos to Amanda for her precision!
