Aye, where are those action shots, peoples?!
-
Aye, it's been a rocky road. But Zircon and I plan on sticking with it for a long time to come, so rest assured... This show *will* gain some stability- we promise. In other news... Following in the footsteps of WesPip, we encourage all you crazy cats to post some ACTION SHOTS in the thread! Are you a VGDJ t-shirt or sticker owner? Snap a few pics of yourself with your merchandise. Have an OCR hoodie? That works, too. And hey, if you're completely broke, well, other crazy pics are always welcome. We're going to start a little site photo album for the VGDJ fans and staff.

Don't forget episode 10, recording during the OCR Toronto meet! Yeah, that was a great idea in theory, but the show ended up being kinda long and boring for those of us who weren't there. Zirc and I will probably do something like that at another meetup, but actually include regular portions of the show with our guests adding commentary, and edit the recording instead of releasing the whole thing raw.
-
Don't worry, it'll be played. After two weeks of no show, and a cohost change, we wanted to use something traditional.
-
I changed the info on our feed a couple days ago, but iTunes takes a while to recognize it. Ees slow. Grar.

Wangless left by his own accord, and there IS a WinglessMix. Get with the times, eh?
-
^^ yeh, just mentioning... Once i have a non-work connection i'l be checking out these 'casts Yeah, I already messaged the Podcast Alley dude to get it changed, but he hasn't responded yet. Patience, young grasshopper...

Man, you don't even know OMG SLANDER!!!!!!

Highly unlikely.

Ahem! Announcing VGDJ's newest cohost... Mr. Andrew "Zircon" Aversa! It's about time we had a real shtyjdgfgt around, don't you think? I must apologize for keeping everyone so in the dark about all this. I just didn't feel comfortable announcing what was going on behind the scenes when nothing was certain at the time. But we coo now! As a remixer, mod, and judge, Zircon couldn't be more on top of the scene. His dedication should speak for itself, but just in case it doesn't... He's one heck of a dude. With a history of busy cohosts, I'm more than relieved that we're gonna have someone as dependable as Andrew around. Not to mention that we have actually met (and bonded, like seriously!) in real life, so I'm really looking forward to working together! Zircon goes to school in Philly and lives in New York, which are both managable distances from my own school and home locations, so don't be surprised if we cook up something special for the near future. Anyway, I know some of you may be missing Wangless, but hey- life goes on. I think every host brings something different to the show, and I'm certainly looking at this as positive change. John had a great radio presence, for sure, but he couldn't devote enough time to VGDJ: didn't want to receive or reply to the emails, hardly ever showed up in our IRC chat, etc. We're gonna make this a real team effort again, just like the good ol' days. So please extend your warmest welcomes toooooo Ziiiirrrcccoooonnn! P.S. We're shooting for an episode this coming Monday, but can't say for sure until we figure out some mic quality stuffs. P.P.S. Zircon's gonna kill me for that pic.

Actually, Dave said he wants to start rotating the front page spotlights more frequently so that old projects can receive fresh attention. EDIT: PLEASE KEEP VOTING, GUYS! We're still way behind this month. VGDJ will be back soon...
-
Well fine then. Be lazy. It's not about being lazy; I just don't want to do it that way, at all. And suzu: Rama would be a terrible cohost. We can't even rely on him to get in the Rama Report every week.
-
Uhhh... no.
-
Okay, so I know we don't have any new shows yet. Still trying to get on board with a new cohost, but... PLEEEAAAAASE VOTE FOR VGDJ! It's a new month, so all our votes on Podcast Alley have been reset, and we gotta try to keep high on the list to get this show out to the masses.

You guys, it's April Fool's Day. The paid remixes thing was a joke.
-
Sorry no.
-
Haha, do! As a side note, I still haven't received shipping addresses from Snooper_1989, Rexy, Broken, or meccaneer. Can't send you your prizes unless I get those! Please email us (me ) at vgdjpodcast@gmail.com wif da info. Everyone else's stuff is on the way!
-
Wtf? If you need to talk about it, do it amongst yourselves or in the #vgdj channel. I don't see why that is so hard.
-
Remixes, [GEN DISC] posts plz.

Okay, guys, seriously, I've already asked TWICE to stop the host talk. I have a couple people in mind, and Larry isn't one of them. Like he said, he's about to settle into a new life; now is not the time to be taking on new, time-consuming projects. And DrumUltimA, as much as I love him, is still pretty new to this community. (Plus, he's a percussionist here and the percussion department is insaaaanely busy). We need someone who's going to be available and enthusiastic about the show. Playing the guessing game isn't going to affect my decision, and it only creates a weird atmosphere in here so plz plz plz stop. For the love of Pixie...?
-
No offense, guys, but there are some hosting qualifications. We need someone who is very on top of the scene, musically experienced, confident, fun, and at least in a compatible time zone. I'd really appreciate it if you guys would PM me if you feel the need to discuss possible cohosts. I don't want this to become some big, dramatic thing.

I've thought about having two female cohosts, but I think that would significantly change the dynamic of the show, and not necessarily for the better. The male/female banter is one huge reason people enjoy listening to VGDJ. Also, it wouldn't be an accurate representation of the OCR community when there are very few gals around in the first place. Please hold off your host speculations for now. If you have any suggestions, feel free to PM me, but let's not litter the thread with that sorta thing. <3 <3 <3 EDIT: lancer130, You can steal the VGDJ banner from my sig. ^_~

Bad news. Bad, bad news. From John: "I'm going to have to gracefully bow out of VGDJ, sooner rather than later. I won't have time for it anymore. I'm sorry honey, but I've got to keep my eye on the prize, and you're tight, nubile VGDJ tee-shirted body is a distraction. Once again, I'm sorry for the inconvenience. --me" VGDJ needs a steady male cohost. It's not an easy job, takes a good deal of time and effort, but we gotta have someone who will really commit. Wingless did an excellent job for the short time he served, so I think we should all thank him for that. Still, this podcast has too much potential to just fade away. I have someone in mind who I might ask. In the meantime, sit tight, and let's hope this all works out somehow!

I gotta get myself one of these! Jill, can you tell me what size yours is so I can use it as a guide when ordering mine? Thankies! I ordered a medium. It's a little loose, but cotton shrinks and I want this thing to last me. ^_~

Yeah, I gotta say... Shonen is definitely hunkier than your average video game nerd, and not shy at all in person. ¬_¬
