Amaterasu & Pikachu are BREAKING AWAY from the pack, but the rest of the results are VERY fluid. Even 2 or 3 people could shift the balance of things pretty dramatically.

Whenever this happens, it's usually somebody's sig that had an old image in it, and the status of the site it's from had changed. I deleted Al Capwn's sig.

AFAIK, there's no official Yume Nikki art at a size we could use, so I wouldn't bother looking.

The reason why I didn't initially file this was because: 1) Team Fortress 2 / Borderlands aren't represented on OCR so I didn't think they'd be valid write-ins, though then again I could be completely wrong. 2) There's no images picked for either. But either way, it's your call - what would you do with it? He's lazy for no images, but write-ins are fine. If they get some traction, more power to 'em!

It's more fun to vote and involve the people, that way we know what the community wants to see added first, and we can go by that priority. We're still going to add more later. It's not a huge database, it's just the pics on some Wiki pages; it's not going to be (nor is it meant to be) an exhaustive set of mascots for every major game represented on the site. Any important games can be listed in the bio whether they have ReMixes or not, but the sequel of a handheld spinoff, in this case, probably doesn't need to be listed by name in the Selected Appearances.

It'd be better to label the columns with the voter names to reduce the potential for error. I thought this was inherent based on what we're looking for, but... 1) It's not enough to just have some grainy images, they need to be high-quality resolution without obvious scanning artifacts. 2) The art for the villains is cool, but unless it's a major/popular antagonist like Mr. X or Shiva from SoR2, we're probably not going to add bosses that are more minor. 3) Even if the hero images were really high quality, they're sketch style and don't have clean borders, which makes it more difficult for djp to cut the character out of the background. The images need clean lines, preferably on a white background. That said, I'm glad you looked, maybe something legit that would also be of usable quality will turn up!

Yeah. No. Any art we use has to be at least 250 x 250 and not just sprites. But that explains why a lot of old school characters are off limits if there's not hi-res full-body artwork out there.

I mean both you and Polo, since you guys are overseeing this. No bios are going up without your oversight. As far as polls, you're definitely empowered to run your own polls, BUT... we don't need to for now. I've actually found over 100 viable images that I've already picked out thanks to Creative Uncut. So I'm checking with djp to see if he has, say, 5 characters he'd like to see get their bios worked on first. If I can actually get a fuller list of what he plans to add later, there'll be enough characters on deck to keep everyone busy for a LONNNNNG time, and we can do a poll of 10 choices, with 5 winners advancing. I think we're going to have an overabundance of great choices. Hold tight for more info. Once we get back in the groove of adding more mascots, we can also figure out also how best we can include fan art explicitly submitted by the artists on bio pages (not as mascots, according to djp), if we do indeed go that route.
