Just a heads up, the next tournament REGARDLESS OF THE WINNER will be "Garou: Mark of the Wolves". This tournament was only made because hemo was placed as winner and Kamoh said that we should do Puzzle. Since the Emulation tournament decided to step in our "grounds", I am basically considering this tournament a part of the emu tourny. After this tourny is done, we are going back to fighting games only. So ya, to whoever wins, sucks for you. Blaim Kamoh.

This went from a cool pirates movie to an "over the top what the fuck is going on lets just please the fans" fanservice bullshit. The first movie was great because the only thing that was surreal was the curse barbosa had from the gold. OTher than that, everything was pretty believable and pretty shway. This one was just a big pile of what the fuck. An obvious film made of complete fanservice. Why couldn't they have just made this a simple pirates movie and ditch all the crazy ass surreal bullshit that we already got enough of from the starwars and lotr trilogies?

If clanocr and remod merge for this idea, we would have a good number. I already have an idea of who I want for the elite 4 if this thing gets started.

How would you find out what pokemon a gym leader has? Strat guides....game magazines.....INTERNET? Use your heads people.

Way too simple to beat any gym leader or elite 4 member. Why be a gym leader or elite four member when you can just repeatedly pounce them? I see nothing good coming out of being a gym leader except for racking up repeated losses on your record card. One type for each gym leader means easy wins for a trainer, and beating the elite four is no different. With us, the trainers, knowing what pokemon a gym leader or an elite four member is going to use basically gives us an automatic win. There are so many counter strats you could make against any list of pokemon that you are able to see. Sorry, it doesn't look like it would work at all. EDIT: It would, however, if you made a whole lot more rules to go with it. For example: -Gym leaders are to have only one type, but are not to show which pokemon they are going to use prior to the match. Gym leaders are limited to only the type that they are representing, however they are not limited to a select number of pokemon of that type. All pokemon of the type they are reprsenting are able to be used by the gym leader. This helps keep the feel that the anime had when Ash went against the gym leaders, at least this is what I remember of how the gym battles in Kanto went. Ash only knew the just the type and number of pokemon he was going to go against. He had no idea which pokemon he was going to face in the battle prior to the match. -Item clause is permanently in effect, however, instead of how my tournament is allowing 2 of any item, there may only be 1 select item per pokemon. These battles are supposed to show skill, and relying on the same item, lets say "left overs" for example would be doing just the opposite. -Sleep clause is in effect. Only one pokemon may be put to sleep at a time. -Gym battles are to be a 3 on 3 match. -Battles are to be forced level 100 battles, so that there is no level superiority over another pokemon in a match. -Elite 4 members are to have 2 types that they are able to use. As with the gym leaders, they are not limited to who they can or can't chose in the type that they are representing. Elite 4 members are not to show which pokemon they are going to be using in a match. -Elite 4 battles are to be a 5 on 5 battle. etc etc This CAN work, but you have to put a lot more thought into it than what you did so far Bongo.

This thread is nothing but a shell until the tourny draws closer. Don't bother with this yet.

POKEMON TOURNAMENT ANNOUCEMENT! Starting July 2, ClanOCR will be hosting it's first pokemon tournament for the games Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl. The tournament style will be double elimination. There will be no seeding, making it so that everyone has a fair chance at winning. TOURNAMENT RULES: Matches will be single 1v1 matches. Levels are to be set to 50, so that all pokemon can be at the same level, giving those that do not have as much time as others to level their pokemon to 50 a chance to join. Before any pokemon tournament, everyone is to chose 10 pokemon that they wish to use and PM me their choices along with the movelist of each. Chose wisely, for these are the choices that you are going to stick with throughout the whole tournament. You are not to tell anyone your choices, so that people do not formulate a specific counter strat against your pokemon. The day of the tournament, I will post the list of people who are playing with their 10 pokemon that they chose. *NEW EDIT PLEASE READ* All Pokemon lists WITH MOVELISTS are to be sent to me by June 16th. On the 1st of July, you will find out who your opponent is as well as their pokemon, giving you a day to figure out what strategy you wish to create with the 10 that you chose. The tournament shall STILL start the 2nd of July. Your movelists will NOT be shown to your opponent. They are for me so I can sort through those that are legit and those who hacked their pokemon. Besides this, nothing else has changed. Item clause is now in effect. No more than 2 of the same item may be used in your party. This rule pertains to all items in game. The following pokemon are banned from this tournament: -Arceus -Darkrai -Deoxys -Deoxys-E -Deoxys-F -Deoxys-L -Dialga -Entei -Giratina -Groudon -Heatran -Ho-oh -Jirachi -Latias -Kyogre -Latios -Lugia -Manaphy -Mew -Mewtwo -Palkia -Raiku -Rayquaza -Shaymin -Suicunne -Wobbuffet -Wynaut And there you have it!
