Really depends on what you feel like doing, especially if it is between those three. If you are craving a game where every character essentially is the same, giving you the ability to literally create any type of character you want, play ff7. The materia system in that game makes it so that any character could be anything in it, which makes it so that you only need to really focus on your favorite characters in order to clear the game without any problems. If you are in the mood for a hardcore stat game, then ff8 is the way to go. Levels are not the big thing in this game, considering I beat the game one time when I was really bored with everyone being level 15. The thing about ff8? Stats stats stats. Like ff7, any character can be anything, except this system focuses on obtaining and leveling GF's as well as farming magic as your main focus. If you are into the more "old school" feel, then ff9 is the road you need to take. Out of 3, ff9 is the most "simple". Leveling is no problem at all. I went through the game once as a challenge with me not being able to level grind at all and had almost no problems. The ability system is a bit more interesting, focusing on equipment farming to gain abilities, but since you get almost every essential piece of gear through chests you find while staying on the main story, this is really no problem. So there you have it really.

Since no winner could really be declared considering Epic went MIA, Hemo has been chosen as winner. We have a little interesting selection for this tournament. It will be "out of the norm", but hopefully people will still find it "cool" enough to join in! This tournament's game shall be Puzzle Fighter! In this tournament, we shall be doing the "round robin" format. Rules are simple for this. Default settings are mandatory. You will be playing best 3 out of 5. We will be using an emulator called Kawaks, a cps1/cps2 and neogeo emulator. It has its own netplay option that does not require lan, so we do not need to worry about using Hamatchi. You can use whichever server fits you best to play your matches on. East coast should use "anti3d", while the West coast should use "fragbox". These two are the best for both coasts, and should help to minimize desynching and ping issues. *NOTE* Kawaks has been updated from 1.57 to 1.58, so please be sure to go get the latest version. Sign ups end May 27th and Round Robin ends May 30th, so join in on the action! Practice hard and "Go for broke"!

POKEMON TOURNAMENT ANNOUCEMENT! I am happy to announce ClanOCR's first tournament! Starting June 18th, ClanOCR will be hosting it's first pokemon tournament for the games Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl. The tournament style will be double elimination. There will be no seeding, making it so that everyone has a fair chance at winning. TOURNAMENT RULES: Matches will be single 1v1 matches. Levels are to be set to 50, so that all pokemon can be at the same level, giving those that do not have as much time as others to level their pokemon to 50 a chance to join. Before any pokemon tournament, everyone is to chose 10 pokemon that they wish to use and PM me their choices. Chose wisely, for these are the choices that you are going to stick with throughout the whole tournament. You are not to tell anyone your choices, so that people do not formulate a specific counter strat against your pokemon. The day of the tournament, I will post the list of people who are playing with their 10 pokemon that they chose. Considering that there has been a user here at OCR for a good while with the screen name "Radical Dreamer", one would figure it would be hard to miss. It is not officially called Chrono Trigger 2: Radical Dreamers. Its OFFICIAL name is "Radical Dreamers: Nusumenai Hōseki", roughly translated to "Radical Dreamers: The Jewel that Cannot be Stolen" or "Radical Dreamers: Unstealable Jewel". Next time try searching around the net longer instead of using one site's name as your base of info. A good place to start your research would be wikipedia.

Fine, then while Sephire is at it, he can go to every main review site on the nets and post their rating for every game that someone nominates, so that way people at least have some numbers to judge them by. Then attach links to member's reviews, mainly one that likes the game and one that doesn't, so that way people can get some feel as to what the game has in store for them. Make sure the reviews are thourough and not just a few blurbs of "this game sucks cause its emo" or "this is good cause cloud is awesome". If you want this thread to work, put a lot more god damn effort into it rather than just listing shit. favorites thread and seph needs to stop getting away with these

Why not just list every game from every system on there? No, seriously. This site has a pretty big list of people that visit here daily, and each person has their own opinion on what is good and what is bad. This list has no chance of being successful, considering that one persons opinion may not fit yours.
