Haha. I agree that the SNES Mario Kart does have the superior Rainbow Road theme, but 64's wasn't too bad either.

As much as I wish to be able to continue having the project run, things have just made it impossible to go on without a full reboot. Things that I have been planning for this have been falling through bit by bit, which has been prolonging the release of this far longer than it should have. For that, I apologize. Any artist that have been involved in this are more than free to release the tracks they have done for this. I shall be contacting each one of you specifically about that as well as a few other things. I apologize to everyone that has been following this project since it has started. I wish I was able to give the project that I promised, but due to many set backs and complications, I was unable to, and for that I am deeply sorry. This project is now canceled until further notice.

It would probably be better for you to not lurk the thread until you have, since spoilers usually get discussed in these threads anyway. This actually makes a whole lot of sense to me. I was speaking with a friend last night about this very same subject. She usually hates how females are portrayed in games. They are often times pure eye candy and give little to the story that they are in, except for them always needing a man to assist them out of things and are extremely hot while not wanting to be. My friend on the other hand, like The Girl, loves Bayonetta. She says that Bayonetta is empowering. Speaking to her makes me understand why The Girl likes Bayonetta as well. Partially why I dislike a lot of anime is because of what I underlined in what I quoted. That is pure objectification and it just never sat right with me. Bayonetta, on the other hand, is totally self aware and doesn't take any of the shit seriously. Sure she is hot, but isn't trying to be all like "don't look at me" or any other way anime characters act. She uses that shit as an advantage and kicks people's faces in with it. At first when I saw how Bayonetta looked in this game, I thought I was going to hate her because it would be Japan objectifying per usual. I thought she was going to act all cutesy and do everything females in japanese made games usually do. I was so wrong, and I am so happy for it. Bayonetta is one of my favorite video game heroines. *post written while mildly affected by prescription drug so apologies ahead of time if it is written poorly*

I hope they do not cheat and port games over for the beginning line up like they did before. All I had was mario 64 ds for a while when it first came out since that was the only good game to own, and that did not make me very happy.

I am not trying to knock the game. I seriously just don't understand the hype. I want to be as interested in it as others, but I just can't. My friend is hailing it as the successor of Devil May Cry, but that really doesn't excite me for some reason. Help me join the ranks of excited enthusiasts.
