Note to self: Don't ignore the music of World of Warcraft. It's awesome. As a Musicology student I want make love to this arrangement. The only thing I think is holding it back is that even people like Messiaen (and ESPECIALLY Schoenberg) had more dynamic variation in playing and the shape of the arrangement. That's extremely minor though and as a standalone arrangement (if you hadn't referenced previously mentioned composers) it's certainly a fantastic piece. The style is unique and the sources are well adapted to the new modernist setting, that's no small feat. Definitely one of a kind and a great addition to OCR. YES

Not much else to say. The swing on the, rather vanilla, synths clash with the beat in a very jarring way. When the source was present it was unaltered and just one or two melody lines at once, sounds like pasted from the MIDI. The beat sounded quite meaty but the synths were lackluster. There's not a lot else to say. Sorry mate. NO

That's roughly (not counting the 3 second pauses) 80 seconds of source. 5:32-5:37 - the Zeromus bass, 5 more seconds. I'm still torn about this one so I'm gonna let it marinate a bit more but I thought this was relevant and would help the other voters. Long story short: SOURCE CHECKS OUT, KTHXBYE

This game is violating my free time atm. I'm just about to go check out the Circle's tower, recruited all other people. I was trying to please Morrigan a lot in hope of a lesbian sex scene but I can't bring myself to be that evil Hopefully someone else will sleep with me.

I have to agree with OA that the track would've sounded a bit stronger overall without the intro but I'm willing to overlook that. Why? Well because the rest is pretty damn cool. The arrangement is great and there's definitely many cool ideas floating around. Most of the sounds sound good even though it all sounds very, VERY sequenced. I, like Larry, wish there was a little more meat in the mix as it gets a bit empty at times. This was really shining when it came to arrangement, less so when it came to production. However I think the arrangement just about weighs that up so I'm going with my gut here. YES(borderline)

I liked this the first time it was sub'd and it has certainly been improved since then. Arrangement is varied (uncommon for this genre) and uses the source so it's both identifiable but not a carbon copy. Mixing sounds pretty good, like OA I heard some minor balance issues and some clashing frequencies in the synths. However nothing that brings it down a lot. I won't go into much more detail, this is a solid mix and it really deserves to pass now. Good work man! YES

While the arrangement and sound choices certainly aren't anything to write home about I think the complete package is still quite potent. It does expand on the source in a few different ways and the arrangement, while very streamlined, is still dynamic. I'm going to be honest, this remix just barely squeaks by for me. For future submissions try to vary up the sounds and beat a bit, try to get around the "copy+paste" feeling and try to get a little more creative with the arrangement. Like I said though, this just about makes it over the bar for me. Solid first submission! YES(borderline)

Eat poop I still think the chords are an iffy connection because even though they might be built on the same fundamental chords they're a bit too altered in my ears. However with zircon's breakdown and how close it is I've settled for a YES.

Yeah, except you know.. it doesn't? He's altering the chords and the bass is going beyond the original chords too. Listen to the source one more time. Now, I know you weren't around the Hot Pink of Blues shenanigans but I know we've rejected remixes less liberal than this.

Who is this OA? Sum noob? Arrangement was a bit hard to get at first but I think it was because I wasn't used to the source. After listening through it a couple of times and reading your info on it, I feel it's close enough to the source. Bass really helped it. Arrangement is all kinds of great on a compositional level too, very nice. Production is not the best I've heard but definitely passable. Guitar lead's thin, bass sounds a bit metallic and the mix sounds a bit sparse. Could've used some more careful balance and attention to the lower frequencies. Still, this remix is pretty cool and I'm happy to give it a pass. YES

Sorry man, I can't sign off to this. Like Vig pointed out the only thing really making the source pattern unique is the time signature and you've changed that to 6/8, taking away a simple connection. The way you use the source is also just hinting to the source, it's hard to do variations on three notes without it being three other notes. Production was overall cool but the song lacks energy and direction. I usually don't see this as a problem but I thought it was worth pointing out. I liked all sounds used though even though I would've appreciated some more changes to the beatwork. Again, sorry but I can't let this through. The connection to the source just isn't clear enough and to be fair, I think it's very hard to make a clear connection. NO
