i spent the past week playing through EarthBound (my first time, finally), and having just beaten it yesterday and feeling very accomplished, i figured it would be appropriate to make a remix the winters mix previously in this thread can be found here: http://remix.thasauce.net/song/RTS0187/

i'm with kyle - 2:15 was a definately highlight for me, but it was pretty great from beginning to end. i love the instrumentation. nice remix

oh wow you need to use effects edit: this is as basic as it gets - http://flstudio.image-line.com/help/html/effects_plugins.htm this is actually pretty good for having virtually no effects whatsoever.. but you absolutely must learn to do this if you want to get anywhere in flstudio. replacing that drumsynth with some actual drum samples and giving the patters some more variation would be a good idea. sytrus use is a bit excessive.. i would recommend familiarizing yourself with some different instruments. if you want, contact me via pm and i can help you out with some good samples/soundfonts and vst plugins.

yeah, like she really finds chiptunes fascinating it's a shame though, because this album is so good... a positive review in TIME would have been great publicity for it.

yeah, this is pretty sweet. love the chiptune intro. the transition at 1:55ish was nice. cool solos at the end and the drum patterns from about 2:45 onward were rockin' (especially that little stutter at 3:01) i strongly approve of this remix

why does everyone complain about the drums? i have heard worse things in my life. this is one of my old favorites - the sound design is fantastic and the percussion really drives this mix for me.

i have a boring job with a lot of free time so i play sonic the hedgehog 1 (ported to iphone - it's great) every single day at work.. which is 6 days out of the week. ive beaten it so many times all i really care about anymore is that pointless score counter (which i've managed to get to 400,000 or higher a few times)
