  1. The only time I do this is when I want a match of skill, one that reflects how good a player is with that specific character. It's just to eliminate the chance for my opponents to go OMG DAT WAS LUK!!! That way, he knows I won. I don't think the tier system actually works, because SSBM is one of the most balanced fighters I've ever played. Is mewtwo tough to use? Yeah, but he might be awesome when mastered. Every character has it's ups and downs, and by changing frequently, you get a true feeling of how the game is played, and you know how your opponent will react when using it. Even better, play SSBM the way its meant to be played: TONS OF CHAOS! ITEMS ON MAX! POKEMON STADIUM! 4 CHARACTERS! And watch the good times roll. Super Smash Bros. Melee: without a doubt, one of the best multiplayer games out there.
  2. He takes a puff of a cig. I'm pretty sure that's it. And there's probably an extended version, like Fox's and Falco's special taunt, where he has a codec conversation with Otacon and the such. I doubt nintendo would allow smoking. A big part of thier fan base are children remember. Yes and no... Firstly, they might just do to his cig what Kingdom Hearts did to Cid's cig. Secondly, you're forgetting that much of Nintendo's loyal fanbase was 7-12 back when the NES came out. That could make them as old as 33... not quite children anymore. This large non-kid fanbase was part of the reason their marketing strategy for the Gamecube was aimed at a younger generation. Even better. Snake looks all cool and stuff, but about 10% of the times he taunts, he chokes , loses the cigarette and coughs. Message got through clear and ninty is still kid friendly.

  4. In-game, the cardboard acts as a portable hiding place. Being followed by guards? No biggie, pop one of these out in an empty storage room and watch the guards go crazy looking for you! It's also a private joke of sorts. Basically, if you moved while they weren't looking, it would be very tough for them to find you.
  5. I definitely agree, but I'm really interested in seeing how Snake plays (I've never really played much MGS, so I dunno much about Snake in general ). Zero Suit Samus doesn't interest me as much, but I like that they'll have at least a 2nd option if someone wants to play a Metroid character (yeah, I know, same person but prob different play mechanics). As much as I'd like some other Metroid character to be in there (like Ridley) but I unfortunately don't see that working too well (he's gonna be quite a bit bigger than Bowser, so...). Ah well...I bet whoever that other character in Metroid Prime 3's trailer will be playable too. Snake's B+Down is either throwing C4, ducking in the cardboard box or using the invisibility cloak (not the late harry potter one, the full suit cool one).
  6. Holy. Freakin. Crap. Paragraphs man, paragraphs. And welcome.
  7. VIEWTIFUL JOE! YES! Seriously, he'd be awesome. You could make him move faster or slower then normal and mess up your opponent's timing.
  8. sir nuts main A combo: wait for it here it comes BOOM BOOM TISS!
  9. It is a slippery one, but tell me this, if you were a Konami/Capcom/SE rep and you had to choose ONE character to represent the entire Castlevania/Megaman/FF franchise which one would you choose, if they told you you had to satisfy the maximum number of people you could with that choice? The only one who I see having trouble would be the Konami one, since Castlevania's main hero has shifted quite a lot. I'm betting they'd still go for Simon. Even though I'm sure there are people who love Big the Cat, I'm sure of what Sega would choose if they had to decide between making a hit sonic game or a hit big the cat game. It's all about how many people you satisfy. Personally, I didn't like the fact that Wario wasn't on Melee, but I'm sure many people didn't mind. I did, because I'm a Wario fan. Anyway, this is just my opinion, I'm sure that we are going to get a Castlevania character in the game, but I don't see any other 3rd party characters in it...
  10. Well, it's not the same, but Cloud has been around in several games. It's in FF7, considered by many fans as the best one, it's been playable in some games after that, and he has a lot of cameos. If SE went with one character that didn't piss off that many people, it would be Cloud. And Sephiroth I suppose. Not that I want any of those in SSBB, we've had enough cameos of those guys, but then again, I also don't want any one from Sonic. In fact, the only other 3rd party character's I'd want are a Castlevania one and Megaman...
  11. I never get bored of Melee's music. When I'm winning, I even fight to it's beat, it looks cool. The only one that gets on my nerves is the standard Final Destination one, because it's the stage I play in the most. Even the DK rap sounds alright. BTW, I loved the DK rap on DK64. Rare humor FTW. But yes, we all want downloadable content. Especially stages and characters. And if those characters are for free, even better! Like WoW patches or something. I have a whole playlist on my computer of songs I listen to while I Smash. Its a lot better than the same damn songs over and over again. Again, I do like those damn songs over and over again.

  13. But it's about the speed, the music, the rush of going at high speeds like no 2D game ever allowed before. The whole level design is pure genius. Not like I can say that for the latter Sonics... Yeah it is. Just been polishing up my Ganondorf skills with my brother. Well... On my brother. He's all like: "OMG LINK IS TEH PERFECT 2 BEAT GANONDURF!" "Uhh... no it's not. Here let me show you." STOCK 3 ALL ITEMS ON MEDIUM, STAGE: FINAL DESTINATION I win. Rematch. I win. No items. I win. 3 different stages. I win. I gotta get my friends over...
  14. Yeah, I've been excited about games before, but never like this. I've even noticed that I've watched the trailer at least once a day since it came out. The same goes for Nobuo's theme. Hopefully, this doesn't drive me insane. My thoughts and actions exactly.
  15. Yes, her sword skills are 1337er then Marth's.
  16. I wont let that happen. Also, WIN Also, that'd be needed for the upcoming onslaught...
  17. So wait. Nintendo can sell Rare to Microsoft, and Microsoft will still let Rare make games for them? Sounds like they hit the jackpot with that deal. Pretty much...
  18. OMG, the wingless posted on my thread. By the way, are you working on the next Mortal Kombat?
  19. Jump in a Metal Gear, stay invincible for like 20 seconds I was thinking something more along the lines of a string of awesome slo-mo combos like in Twin Snakes. Backflip Backflip Kick Punch Uppercut Mid Air Kick or something.
  20. Think about it... Snake's grab is... and by pressing A you deal damage by appling pressure to... Oh my god yes!
  21. Too gritty?! His humor is the thing missing from SSB! Besides, what should Nintendo do? Cover him in flowers and give him a lollipop instead of a cigarette!? And Sonic and Tails are likely? Hell no. Don't give in to little Sonic fanboys. I don't want to have to spam the A button and jump from enemy to enemy in SSBB.
  22. Which one? LINK PLZ!! "OMG ASS!! :):)"
  23. Bias mucho? El Sonico no merece la muerte. Longa vida para los 2D!!
