  1. When they meetup they almost always play Melee. So it's a given I guess. Also, what we really should have is huge Brawl tournaments online. That'd be so awesome, I bet we could get over 100 people in it. Damn meetups never come to Portugal
  2. NSMB came earlier this week. I've been enjoying it a lot but I have two complaints: The music isn't varied, I'm sick of hearing the "ahh ahh!" song over and over again; and some of the earlier course designs (like up to world 5) are pretty straight forward and generally not fun. They feel like the same old stuff repeated. Worlds 6 and 7 are fun so far, with the ledges and that giant worm course. The overall game is pretty good, and the controls are awesome, so is the ability to retain a mega or mini mushroom for later. I'm really enjoying the multiplayer, it provides some frenetic brawls in Mario vs. Luigi mode (OH NOES HE GOT TEH MEGA MUSHROOM!!) and playing Wanted! with 2 players is also great. Overall awesome game, with minor flaws in difficulty and course design.
  3. YES! Even though she said it right back when it was with Rayza. They even made fun of it, I remember. They reviewed your My Turn To Dream mix and then commented on how the correct pronounciation made them sound like a gay salesman or something. They still didn't get it right. el oh el
  4. Oh hell yeah, Rayman is my favorite platformer series. Ever. I like it better then that so called "platform master" Mario. I love the remix. Seriously, everything... well Yankee Doodle was uncessary but whatever. You friggin rock Chthonic. (BTW they mispronounced your name in VGDJ)
  5. I got ness/yoshi when what I really use most is ganondorf/kirby/peach.
  6. I'd like info on this too. Yeah, sorry kids. We were focusing on recording the show, not getting video. Can't very well talk and tape at the same time. But as Merk said, Paul, Paul, and Asif from PLAY- A Video Game Music Documentary got a lot of footage! Hopefully they'll release something soon. When they do, we'll definitely let you guys know. ^_~ Got it, I was thinking VGDJ had made the leap into video. Nevertheless, it'll soon conquer all types of media. Radio and Internet down I guess.
  7. -Very begginer friendly. I started out with it and still use it. -It is available in most music stores, you just have to do a little searching to find it. I found it once in Sam Ash music, not sure if that's a national store or not. -Yes, very possible with limited hardware (aka the program, a computer, and a mouse). That's all I have to make music too. Knowing your way around a piano helps, too. Edit: chillah, yea, this is the right place. Thanks for helping. So you'd be able to make high quality music with it? And you woulden't need any additional content such as a keyboard or any other things?
  8. I'd like info on this too.
  9. Hey there, I'm considering getting Fruity Loops. I know the minimum on music (tried learning how to play the piano for about 2 years, but didn't get much out of it), but I'd like to learn more, but I don't have the time to actually get lessons. I was hoping to learn as much as I could from books and internet tutorials. And I'd also need some kind of "instrument" so I was going to get one of the music mixing programs you guys use. My main question is: is FL beginner friendly? I mean, is it the best program of it's kind for people who are starting out? Because that's what I want, something that easy to work with. Also, how much is it, and is it available anywhere? Or do I need to buy it online? Finally, would I be able to create songs using just FL, and the samples it comes with or with extra ones? Meaning, is it possible for me to make music with FL, a computer and a mouse? Thanks in advance.
  10. I'm sorry I just got to listen to this remix now, but I have to admit, it's one of my favorite remixes on this site, if not my favorite. Every thing is top notch, from the tune, to the lyrics (I'm seeing the heat here!!), and, most importantly, the vocals. I'm a Pixietricks fan, I think she has the best vocals on OCR, and this mix proves it. All of the vocals here are high quality, but Pixietrick's just clearly stands out, congrats. The instruments are also very good, the flute is the one that strikes me as the best on the whole ensemble, but they are all very good. The harmonizing of pixie and samurai's vocals on the chorus are also very good and I absolutly love the lyrics. So here you go D-Lux, Taucer, pixie, shonensamurai and zircon, this is a song I'll remember for many years, as it struck me deeply as a very, very good ReMix. Congrats. Here's to the best damn mix I've heard in quite a while, you guys rock.
  11. I like the idea. Sorta like what they did with Peach in SSB:M (having a Daisy costume), but more diverse and more sensical. You mentioned the victory music, but what do you think the stage design and stage music will be for the Belmont clan, if they are included as one character? Speaking of, does anyone think Daisy will get her own character in Brawl? I doubt Daisy will get her own character. Who would want a Peach clone? Belmont's music.....it'd have to be Vampire Killer, with Bloody Tears as a possible alt for the stage. No. Juese Belmont. It the best Castlevania music ever. It's a fact, look it up.
  12. Castlevania Stage: Dracula's Castle Music: Juese Belmont
  13. I think the solution to the Castlevania problem is to have a character named "Belmont." When you change his outfit, he changes from Simon to Trevor to Juste, etc. I mean, they're all related. Since nearly every Belmont I know has used a whip, dagger, axe, holy water, and boomerang-cross, there shouldn't need to be any change in gameplay among them. And his victory music should be the ditty that plays whenever Simon beats a boss in Super Castlevania IV. I wouldn't mind seeing Alucard in the game either. I wonder if they'd dare give him a blood-sucking move. Another interesting idea would be to have Trevor Belmont/Sypha Belnades (as in Castlevania III) be a clone of Zelda/Sheik. Not one I would vote for, since I've never really been a fan of clones, but an idea nonetheless. Speaking of clones, would you rather see Zero-Suit Samus as a clone of Samus or as an alter-ego (like Zelda/Sheik)? She did start out as suited Samus in the trailer. Welcome to the site! Also, no love for Soma?
  14. But we only roll once per show! GAHHH, your math has nothing to do with the Russian ReMix Roulette! Pixie, be careful, DrumUltima is going to kidnap you and take you on a vacation to Portugal.
  15. You guys better still be doing meet ups when I go there in like..6...years...yeah, no.
  16. Well, the whole hoople comes from the fact that the formula is fun. Everytime. This that formula, reinvented. With new levels and powerups, it's a new package to the formula. If you didn't like it at first, it probably won't appeal to you now. But it's been 15 years since an original one. So this ends up being a nose punch of nostalgia. Awesome.
  17. Do not speak of that game until your american postal service gets it here. RadEx!
  18. Holy crap, you're on to something here! Imagine a fight with 2 master hands. Each player with a Wiimote! SLAP SLAP BULLET BULLET! Awesome.
  19. So what do you think of the game? Is it a real Zelda, a wierd one like Four Swords and in the middle? I mea, from the videos I've seen, it looked like half-a-zelda... It's definiately different. Moving is pretty easy; you just touch the screen where you want link to walk, and it's really reponsive, so as soon as you lift up, he stops. Atttacking is done by making slash motions on the touch screen towards the enemies you're fighting. The demo was only a small area, and the multiplayer mode, but I think the game looks promising. The camera angle is a lot like LttP or Minish Cap, only zoomed in more so Link is larger on screen. Towards the enemy? But woulden't that disrupt walking? I mean you'd be swiping across the screen, then Link would go up and down like crazy right? Sounds wierd, but I guess you have to play it to get it, like canvas curse...
  20. So what do you think of the game? Is it a real Zelda, a wierd one like Four Swords and in the middle? I mea, from the videos I've seen, it looked like half-a-zelda...
  21. Yes but the fact you and a friend can only battle 2 computers at a time has gotten me annoyed for quite some times. I want Brawl to be totally costumizable. Totally. I mean, you could have a Pichu Team, each of them spawning with 150% of damage against you and your friend. Like...200 pichus. And you only have 2 lives. Totally editable.
  22. I've had that problem. I'm pretty good and so's a friend of mine, so playing against 2 level 9 cpu's is pretty easy. Adding 2 slots for cpu players would be a good idea. Adding Sonic into the fray woulden't. Argh.
  23. Captain Obvious says: You're right kiddo! Of course they depend on the orb, and the orb can be turned off in the item selection screen.
  24. And round and round it goes! Where will stop? Nobody knows!
  25. Killing someone with a Mr. Saturn is NOT luck. It's fun!!
