  1. The quest for the magic key was a bodatious journey, with butt all treasure. Clearly we're farming the wrong area (OCR). Oh snap! XD Yeah we've already gotten a call from the FCC and probably need to go unrated
  2. Great reviews The Rex, well done. I'm sure all the artists here appreciate the time you've put into these. I'd like to add that getting out of your comfort zone and doing something crazy is what these comps need more of I think. I really encourage everyone to step out and try new stuff. Even consider genres you haven't done before. You may surprise yourself. IMO there were a large number of "safe" tracks submitted this round where people were simply doing their usual thing. Hopefully people really break out of this as the comp progresses. Respect.
  3. Many thanks for your kind words KT. You're the bomb. I hope everyone enjoyed our joke track capturing the arduous journey all contestants embarked on for week 1, after being betrayed and having to work on Disney tracks. I had a blast raveling the sources into a rock song with lyrics parodying the games and situation. I really hope you all got a good chuckle from it. BTW for those who are interested, the lyrics and source usage info are at the direct soundcloud link here: https://soundcloud.com/neozeed/get-the-candle-for-fireballs Oh and to the haters (if there are any), fuck you and fuck disney. XD P.S. That was a joke too yo. FIREBALLS! XD
  4. It's way better and more honest to rip the track yourself using one of the many nsf creators out there...
  5. I was finished on Tuesday. ........ nah thought I'd just add to the trash talk this thread has already accumulated XD
  6. That happens to the best of us. Then we come crawling back
  7. 1. Top man 2. Yamato man 3. Spark man 4. Metal man 5. Shade man Posting the other shortly. I'm with the crazy guy above me.
  8. Tuberz, always plugging the tars. As a remixer growing up with this site, I advise you not to read into different threads on different websites about what they think of your projects. If you want to find some hate, simply head to your own profile and check out some reviews of your tracks from 2000 lol. XD Focus on the music, make the song yours and no-one else's. This is what you're here for. Yes people need criticism in order to improve their tracks, but it's far more productive to get that from your peers, not random fans on random websites. Thanks a bunch KingTiger! With me on here, we're bound to get some crit.
  9. Thanks a bunch Metaphist! I like to think my earlier remixes inspired people because they knew they could do better. I'm excited about this project, Sonic CD is my favourite Sonic game of all time.
  10. Lol I keep getting that response a lot since my return to the forums.
  11. Any room for Jive? I'm also interested, now that I'm in between projects. Happy to collab, or do an alternative track. I'm good for it. -Joel
  12. Really hoping you like it. If it's half as good as Vanilla, I'm happy.
  13. Dave, so good to see you still have the same sig from all those years ago, I still like it. -Joel
  14. I do. We should team up sometime... make a OCR clan even. Conker rules. It one of my fav games on the box - I can't believe you can't use it on 360.
  15. It should work, I play Halo 2 online with my 360 all the time and its fine. I actually prefer it because of the widescreen support. You've downloaded the xbox emulator update for the 360 and all that right? If that's all done it should work quite smoothly. Its about the only backwards compatible xbox game which actually works without bugs. Except YOU DONT TALK. Didn't talk much cause my headset (3rd party) is shite, and as you witnessed, whenever you guys speak to me some of the sound seems to loop back through the microphone, so I muted the mike. I didn't really have much to say anyway - I thought you guys were fine having your own conversation? I can talk more if you like.

  17. You can add me if you like, the tag is jivebird. I haven't had Live long, but I'm fairly decent at shooting stuff. And it would be cool to join the OCR ranks in a whole new playing field... -Joel
  18. Hi Shael, just dropping a line to say that I am still in - I'm just very busy as I'm in my final semester of university. I am working towards a new WIP. I recently recorded some guitar for the mix that I'm going to drop into the track. -Jive
  19. Hi guys, thanks for the comments on the mix. Glad to be back officially. Seattle, the original group I was part of has since disbanded, however my new group The Melicious Neo Zeed is alive and kicking. Songs from the album are available on the site. -Jive
  20. Yet Jivemaster's presence remains unnoticed... Will he not bring quality to the project? I get lonely sometimes -Jive
  21. I object DJP! JM is my abbreviation! I actually liked the loudness of the drums - its a real sonic kick in the balls, which certainlly complements the Double Dragon vibe... -Jive
  22. Well the way the project has been set up has made it a competition. Maybe if remixers were originally screened for quality at the beginning of the project and only one per mix was allocated after this process it would have avoided the problem. In addition, I was not at all implying that crap tracks will end up being included in the final product - that's common sense and I didn't think that needed to be stated. I just said that I believe the project needs to have a single mix for each song and that's it (for the reasons stated above). -Jive
