Nah, Justin and Marn are probably OK. I just can't stand Spooky's damned commentating. He seriously can't say anything without saying something tits related.
-
So hey Arek You goin' to EVO? Be sure to punch Justin Wong, Marn, and Spooky in the face for me.

There's a mode that you unlock after beating arcade mode once that let's you listen to character themes when you're playing versus. Also, don't know if this has been mentioned before, but this site right here, frame-advantage.com has a bunch of videos of matches for plenty of different fighting games that are good for coming up with different tricks for characters to just having fun watching some good high level matches.

Yep yep. Great matches indeed, Bardic. Glad to see we're slowly getting the band back together for some good times with Street Fighter IV. On a side note, damn I love me some Juri. Also Emperor, the whole sluggish moving always happens whenever you start a new fighter. Once you figure out your character mechanics, you'll start zipping across the screen in no time. Of course that isn't to say that they didn't slow down the gameplay for the Street Fighter IV series. As for ultras, people used them a lot at first, but as the latest guest on the latest Wake Up SRK podcast mentioned, as the game evolved and strategies grew, people rely less and less on ultras to get through.

Whenever the internet goes down for extended amounts of time and you have no way of signing into Steam or whatever and you'd just like to practice for a bit. Granted the situations in which your PC isn't connected to the internet are very rare, but I'd think that not being able to use DLC or save progress would be harsh enough. I know I'd be upset if I couldn't play my Sakura, Ibuki, or Juri due to an internet outage.

I've never done the Games For Windows Live thing. Why is it supposedly total shit anyway?

So here's a bit of news about the PC version for SSFIV: AE from Chris Svennson himself. I've gotta say that I'm a bit disappointed in how they're handling this.
-
People are saying it might not necessarily be FF-related though. It could be another venture like they had with Fantasy Earth. We'll see, I guess. I know I nearly lost my shit when I read the headline earlier this morning though. FFXIV is about to go through some big changes starting in June, though. New battle system mechanics, a job specialization system to work alongside the armory system, grand companies finally being introduced(although not too much info on player companies just yet), a "materia" crafting system to go along with the current crafting system(in addition to other changes to the crafting), and a few other things. Hopefully, this thing'll be in much better shape by its 1 year anniversary. At least enough to get word on a PS3 release.

Good luck Jhawk. Do it up, man. I wanna see Hakan representin'. Also good to see that Bardic's still up to his Ibuki shenanigans in SSFIV. Come the release of Arcade Edition(on PC preferably), we've got to have ourselves that kunoichi rematch.
-
Yeah, I bought MvC3 when it came out. Maybe it was due to timing, but after the initial month I haven't touched it as much and I keep going to SSFIV for my fighting fix. Hope that doesn't happen too often when I grab BB: CSII soon.
-
Yeah, I don't really factor supers into my game either. They don't do enough damage for the effort to fill up the gauge IMO. At least for my characters anyway(Ibuki and Sakura).
-
Huzzah! Not that I'm shunning consoles, I've just been doing much more gaming on my PC lately, seeing as how I do everything else on it anyway.
-
...Also PC version of AE is hitting Steam in July! *tumbleweed* Nobody?

Sonic "Generations"? Hmm . . .
Malaki-LEGEND.sys replied to RECKENEFIN's topic in General Discussion
Man it's so cute to see you guys getting excited about another Sonic game. -
I think my favorite part about Final Fantasy XII is that the plot was generally devoid of children, and that the plot was generally more adult. FFXII was made for the FFT and Vagrant Story fans(I.E. fans of intricate storytelling), not the fans of anything post FFVIII, which while interesting, aren't that complicated.

Up until SE management had a say in it, Basch was supposed to be the main lead. If Matsuno hadn't been removed from the project, Vaan(and maybe Penelo as well) would have never existed.

We really need to put a surgeon's warning on anything Gawker-related. Kotaku's hazardous to your health, yo.

While I'm not trying to come out and defend Sony here, I'm still not entirely sure why they, the victims of a massive security breach, are getting much more shit than the actual perpetrators. Do people just need someone to blame, and since the perp is nowhere to be found, we blame the victim instead? If so many people take issue with Sony, then don't buy their products or support their business in any way whatsoever. If anything, this should serve to illustrate that the more things change, the more things stay the same. The internet has always been dangerous, and you're always taking a calculated risk whenever you put any sort of information out there. It doesn't matter how highly encrypted Sony makes PSN, if it can be brought up, it can be taken down.

I just want much, MUCH better online support. That's what makes or breaks fighters for me now. It's what's keeping me from really going all out in MvC3. That and the fact that certain characters were unbalanced as hell in SCIV. Also more robust modes would be nice. Story mode in SCIV had about 5 matches each with literally no exposition in them. Blazblue did it and so did Mortal Kombat 9(no matter how cheesy). The bar has been raised, and a series like Soul Edge/Calibur has some actual potential for good story. Also, please less terrible lipsyncing/voice acting.

This will probably be the case. In addition to Patroklos and Seigfried, we might see a shinobi instead of a kunoichi, Amy will hopefully have a better moveset and be the defacto fencer, Talim will probably still be around as well as Cervantes. I just tossed that suggestion for the hell of it. If guest characters are coming, they probably have whoever it is already planned out. It's nice to want things, basically. ...Of course I stand by my original statement that Starkiller, Vader, Yoda, AND Algol were all one giant game-killing abortion. Also, if they plan to add extra characters designed by manga artists, would it kill them to give them original movesets? The "Mortal Kombat Ninja" days are long gone.

...or paid DLC. *shudders*

Who's joking? That would be all kinds of fantasgreat, albeit highly unlikely. Hell, Fang and "Valkyrie" Lightning would fit in with the game's aesthetic with relative ease, and since the games they're in are already multi-platform, that would eliminate the chance of any wonky licensing issues. Anything's better than their colored history of using lame comic book characters or film IPs that have no business in the series.
