I don't think I've 100% a game ever since I went to college, and even then I don't think I 100% that many games other than Mario or Zelda games when I was younger. I'll go through bonus dungeons if it adds more to the gameplay(like unlocking more abilities in IU or party lvl.6 in Eternal Sonata, but rarely take a game all the way to ULTIMATE completion. I've never been a fan of dumb achievements anyway. Personally I don't usually do New Game+ either save for a game like Chrono Cross that has a few extra endings close to the beginning of the game anyway. If I liked a game enough and it wasn't mind numbingly time consuming, I'll go back to it right away like I did with Infinite Undiscovery or Metroid Other M, but apart from fighters, I tend to take breaks in between completions.

The last few minutes reminded me of this.

Basically they have good prose, but the content is still ass. Much like an Anne Rice novel.

Well it was a little bit of both. Basically when j2e worked on the English fan translation of the original FFIV, they added some of their own "class" to the game, one gem being a line said by Palom when the captain of the guards of Baron tries to join your party when you infiltrate Baron: "I've seen more convincing acting from William Shatner!" I can't find any actual pics for it, but I'll never forget having to stop the game to laugh for about 2 minutes.

I liked the William Shatner bits in FFIV...

Mega Man Universe.... CANCELED!!

It always sucks to hear about a game cancellation, as it usually means wasted dev time and money. -
Hay gais your system is teh sux. No but seriously, I'll probably be grabbing one in a year, same as the NGP. I'm worried about lefty impressions on Kid Icarus though. That's probably the biggest "launch" title on my radar and other lefties in the media who have played it have said that it's nigh impossible given its control scheme. Also, I have some astigmatism, and I hear the 3D might be hard for me to see. Can anyone with this problem give me any impressions?

Violent Game law to Kill Call of Duty?

Shadowblade is also kind of an idiot, and 9 out of 10 doctors would probably agree to removing him from your daily diet. Nope, nothing to really contribute to the thread. Just reading more classic Shadowblade posts. -
So due to the earthquake and rolling blackouts, companies such as Square-Enix and Konami have suspended their online game servers to conserve power. This has affected games such as Metal Gear Solid Online, Final Fantasy XI and Final Fantasy XIV(and being that unlike FFXIV, FFXI is NOT free to play, SE has decided to eliminate any charges made to accounts for all of April). In what could be interpreted as a stroke of good luck, the official forums for both SE games launched a mere days before the earthquake, and not only has there been a huge outpouring of support and donations from fans all over the world, we've been able to see some personal accounts from Japanese players on what's going on and news on how the developers and their families are doing. I just logged on to said forums for FFXIV and read a new page from the "support" section. Within it was a letter from the producer, which is an ongoing series from the new producer, Naoki Yoshida, that explained the situation, but not only that, explained that the team is STILL working on the patches that were scheduled for March/early April. As a fan, naturally I'm glad that they're still working on the game, but this seriously tugged on some heart strings for me all the same. Even in the face of ALL this shit, and even though most people would say worrying about a game is hardly important, SE, and the Japanese by extension, are still showing some serious resilience that I don't think I'd easily be able to. The fact that this is pretty much expected, being that this is a business and life has to go on makes it even harder to swallow. Seriously, fuck all those assholes who think it's funny to troll this sort of thing at a time like this. Fuck all those people on Facebook, etc. CHIPP, I hope everything works out for you and your wife's family, and to anyone else on these forums who have family/friends there, I hope everything works out.

I'd also like to point out that Brian Crecente has a face that just screams "punch me". -

I agree, that's why I'm loathe to actually read any of it other than take the initial title, then look it up on another site. At least they know their demographic and what gets them the hits. -

Well if you gotta excel at something, might as well be at sucking. -
Didn't you say you quit this thread?

Ditto on that one. I've been having the same problem. The online component to the game is probably the only thing that keeps me from playing regularly.
