  1. Correct me if I'm wrong but SSBB will not use the Wii remote/nunchuck. It will use a regular GC controller.
  2. Oh gawd, I haven't used Audition in years. I remember something in the dialogue box for exporting that let you change the bitrate (as I always had mine too high and I had to reduce it to fit size limits). Sorry mate. Maybe someone else can help ya.
  3. I suggested it a f ew pages ago. It better be on the final tracklist. That is the best baddest boss song ever.
  4. Umm I've had the demo for like a week and I'm loving it. I don't see whats so hard. I've been able to do everything fairly easily. The GUI is a little overwhelming at first, but its really just like FL or Cubase, etc. I haven't had any problems with it so I'm positive I'll be getting Logic Express. One the trial demo runs out of course. Gotta milk that for all its worth first. Actually, I've found that Logic is extremely easy. Want to add a new tempo, just click the bar and adjust the tempo slider. Synths are a little confusing (the windows are pretty, but not terribly functional), but what they lose in immediate ease of use, they overcome greatly with sheer power and flexibility. The EXP 24 sampler is very nice (and supports Garage Band EXS instruments! Yesss!). Honestly, I don't understand why its so hard to use. The MIDI environment is a little confusing, but again its all a matter of learning the environment. Needless to say, I love it, so this thread should probably be lockjed/forgotten/overlooked, because I've made my choice. Thanks to everyone who gave me advice. I'm glad I got some help and I will be happy with this new software!!
  5. This project will make a wicked Smash Bros playlist for my iPod.
  6. In case no one has seen the vocal sample thread, I have literally tons of vocal samples. They're all from Music Generator (and completely copyright free too), and if you are afriad there's a problem with me giving them to you (its slightly illegal to send even copyright free stuff around if people haven't paid for it), go buy it. Its probably not that much (I got it like 8 years ago for $14. God knows what it costs now).
  7. Sorry, can't edit someone else's post. It'll be updated later today. Cerrax, I now have decided to include artist auditions for anyone who asks for a a track. Do you have any recent material in the style you intend to compose your track in? Doesnt have to be that long or anything, just make sure it demonstrates your best work. Well my best piece I have out now is probably my Mystic Quest remix. But I have just gotten Logic and my Contra remix is probably more of what my Ganon remix would sound like, except much more developed. That Contra mix only took me a few hours. No real quality time put into it, just did it to see what I could pull out of my ass with a totally new program.
  8. Kind of. I doubt most synths handle vibrato, arpeggiation, pitch shifting, noise, or whatever else the gameboy synth has the same way, all in one package. I'm sure it's possible but it's probably a bitch. Same with the NES, only you add DPCM onto that :3 p.s. Aleksi Eeben has demo tracks for the Carillon tracker Logic's ES 1 does all of that.
  9. Any analog synth can make Gameboy sounds. NES sounds can be done with an analog synth as well. 16-bit is where is gets tough to emulate exactly what it sounds like.
  10. Why am I not listed as claiming Dark Gaia? Oh well. I'd rather have Ganon anyway. I would like to claim Ganon's theme. I'll probably do a remix of his theme from Lttp/Oot (they're almost the same).
  11. What music do you listen to while you smash? Here's a list of artists I have on shuffle while I play: Ego Likeness VNV Nation Guilty Gear X OST Devil May Cry OST (battle themes only) Soul Calibur III OST (battle themes only) Metal Gear Solid OST(battle themes only) Matrix Trilogy OST & Albums Destroyer C Zeromancer Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust (battle themes only) Any action theme from Harry Gregson-Williams
  12. Dark Gaia's battle theme was one of the best I've ever heard. I hope he will be on the album. Grab an SPC of Illusion of Gaia. It might be on VGMusic too. Best. Boss Theme. EVAR. If he does make it, I would like to request his theme to remix. EDIT--Found a MIDI of it on VGMusic. Its called Final Battle. I'd also like to request the Dark King's battle theme from Final Fantasy Mystic Quest. It is also on VGMusic. But I don't want to do that one. I would love to hear a remix of it tho KTHNX
  13. Malcos what are you looking for? I have tons of vocal samples (see previous posts) and I can send any of them to you if you have any use for them. Just give me what type-of voice you need and maybe some specific lines you had in mind. All the vocals I have are 100% copyright free.
  14. Yeah. The effects automantion alone is making me squeal like a kid at Christmas.
  15. I think I'm fine with Logic. I really like that it's fully compatible with GB. Now all of my hard work won't be for nothing. I can yank old GB source files and make them better on Logic. I haven't bought anything yet (I don't have any money), but I think Logic is the best choice for me.
  16. Can't find a download of Cubase to demo, but Logic Express 7 demo is AWESOME! LOVE IT! Logic has such bad-ass synths and it's 100% compatible with GB!! I'm sold! Its LOGIC for me!!
  17. "inside here is the lyric" (a letter here indicates there are different versions of the same phrase) tells differences between versions RAP Danny- Your basic black rapper's voice "2 and 2 the 1" (a) "2 and 2 the 1" ( more emphasis on the "1" "You better act like you know it" (a) "You better act like you know it" ( voice bends down instead of up at end "All the brothers on the east side" "And on, and on, and on" "And you just don't stop" "Ahhhh yeah" (a) "Ahhhh yeah" ( voice bends down at end "Ahhh yeah" © slightly shorter and louder "Let me take you back again" "The baddest MC" "Drop the bass" (a) "Drop the bass" ( voice bends down instead of up at end "Be what you wanna be" (a) "Be what you wanna be" ( (not real noticeable difference, i think the rhythm might be a little different) "The beat" "The bomb" "I'll break your walls if they wanna be broken" (a) "I'll break your walls if they wanna be broken" ( emphasis is on different syllables "The brother's in full effect" "Can you dig it" "Can you feel it" "Can get you get on the beat" "Can you kick it" "Can you move it" "Can you" "I'm the champ" "Check it out" (a) "Check it out" ( Less enthusiastic than the first one "Clap your hands" "Let the rhythm take control" (a) "Let the rhythm take control" ( bit of a pause between "rhythm" and "take" "Do you know I'm crazy" (a) "Do you know I'm crazy" ( voice goes down at end "It's like that" "Take me to the break of dawn" "Dig it" "Do what you wanna do" (a) "Do what you wanna do" ( slightly higher and more enthusiastic "Don't stop, hip hop" "And drop the beat" "Let's drop the breaks" (a) "Drop the bass" © More enthusiastic than the other two "Cuts faster" "Feel it" (a) "Feel it" ( lower and less enthusiastic "Do you wanna feel it" (a) "Do you wanna feel it" ( emphasis on different syllables "In full effect" (a) "In full effect" ( emphasis on different syllables "Take the sound of the funky drum" "I get by on you" "Who's gonna get down, man" "Get on the beat" "Comin' out the ghetto" "Gimme the one" (a) "Gimme the one" ( lower and less enthusiastic "Gimme the sound" "Give me the funky rhythm" (a) "Give me the funky rhythm" ( different rhythm "It goes a little somethin like this" (a) "It goes a little somethin like this" ( emphasis on different syllables "I got it" (a) "I got it" ( voice goes down instead of up at end "I got the bomb" "I gotta have it" (a) "I gotta have it" ( lower voice "The groove" "Here we go, in the place to be" "Here we go!" (a) "Here we go!" ( lower voice "Hey boy" "Hey girl" "Hip hop" "In the house" (a) "In the house" ( a little "uh" added before the phrase starts "I'm the lyrical grand master" "I got" (a) "I got" ( less enthusiastic "I got the beat" "I got the groove" "I got the vibe" "I got rhythm" "I got the wickedness" "If you wanna" (a) "If you wanna" ( faster and higher voice "Is this the best round" "Join together" "Kick it" (a) "Kick it" ( lower voice "Let me reveal it" (a) "Let me reveal it" ( faster and lower voice "Let's kick it" (a) "Let's kick it" ( lower and voice goes down instead of up at end "Take me to the next level" "Goes like this" "And it goes like this" "The lyrical gansta" I'm only halfway through the first voice (there's about 15 different voices). I'll list the other voices here. I will continue to work on a list of all quotes. Eventually, I will have an entire list for requests, but for now tell me which voice you'd like to see quotes from. Maybe even specific lines you had in mind. RAP Danny-basic black rapper Mandy-black female very enthusiastic rapper/singer Paul-Jamacan (sp?) rapper very enthusiastic as well Sean-another Jamacan (sp?) rapper with very raspy as well as blaring loud lines Shena-black singer (only has a few lines in the rap section) Stepz-another typical rapper type, but more enthusiastci than Danny Steve-not really rap, more like heavily acted spoken words. deep English rocker accent SINGING Cathi-basic female pop singer Howard-rock singer (think Bruce Springsteen and the like) Jackie-female singer (don't really know what she sings) Mandy-Powerful diva voice Paul-Expressive black singer's voice Ruby-another good diva voice, a little more mature and raspy Shena-Good RnB singer SPOKEN WORD Laurel-womans voice (kind of sounds like Cathgerine Zeta-Jones without an accent. Think of news anchor type speaking) Ted-sounds like that guy who does voice overs for every single movie trailer ever, except not as scary and evil sounding Needless to say, I've got a lot of shit.
  18. Oh yeah, I need all kinds of countdowns. Countdowns in numbers, letters. Preferably hard male voices.. Hope you can help me .. I'll make a list and post it here and you can choose what youy want.
  19. I have Music Generator which has a whole bunch of lyrics/phrases/raps. I can make you a list of all the different lyrics and you just tell me what note they should be recorded on. Its got all kinds of stuff like women singing all kinds of "oh yeahs" and more specific lyrics. Also has a few male rappers and some non-genre specoific stuff like a countoff "1, 2, 3, 4!". I'll make up a list and you can pick what you want.
  20. I have a few samples from Music Generator that are just recordings of old vinyl and radio noise. I could send them to you if you'd like.
  21. Its not free, but a really good way to start mixing (at least for me) is to get a PlayStation game called MTV Music Generator. GET THE ORIGINAL ONE. MG2 and MG3 are PURE SHIT. Its like $14 (hell that was like eight years ago, it's probably lik $3 now) and it is incredibly powerful. YES NO NO MTV Music Generator (don't let the MTV liscense fool you, this is a very very good music program) *Over 11,000 samples of all genres: Percussion (orchestral, rock, hip hop, dance, trance, dnb, you name it) Hardsynths Softsynths Classical Instruments (ya know flute, woodwinds, strings, brass, etc) Guitars (clean, nylon, distorted, steel) Organs (classical, rock, jazz, pop) Lyrics (rnb, dance, rap, rock, pop, spoken word) Sound Effects (musical, natural, machine) *Over 3,000 premade riffs and loops in: Trance Drum n Bass Hip Hop Rock House Jazz & Blues *Edit almost any note parameter: Sample start Sample end Volume envelope Pitch Pitch bend Pan Reverb or other effect (no effects chain, just one effect can be added) Mute Waveform Note Repeat * Master tracks for: Volume automation Tempo automation Reverb automation Key change *Lots of sample tracks put together on the CD for learning purposes. *Music video creator synced to the music track *Simple and inutive design and interface. *Hotkeys assigned to all controller buttons for very quick acess of important tasks *PlayStation Mouse compatible The only drawback (and its a big one) is the sound quality. Listen to the old stuff on my website. That was what it sounded like and I know that program inside and out. The PlayStation just can't handle very high soud samples without completely killing its memory.
  22. Yeah. I used to have Music Generator for the PS1 and it does a HELL of a lot more than Garage Band. Actually almost everything on that list I could do with Music Generator. Unfortunately, the sound is shitastic. Listen to the old stuff on my website. I know how to do a lot of stuff, but Garage Band won't let me do it! It was really "one step forward two steps back" deal. I needed much higher sound quality so I traded ultimate functionality for much higher sound.
  23. Watch it SnappleMan. I think I'm just going to go with Logic Express. It's got what i need and I can always upgrade. Plus its compatible with GB source files!
  24. This a great remix in terms of style and flair. Live guitars rocking out one of the coolest songs in ZAMN. Great job. QFE. That's what remixes are supposed to do. If you want to hear the original, GO LISTEN TO THE ORIGINAL!
