Anyone out there? I'm honestly curious to see what people think.

I have a pretty basic setup. Programs: SQ01 (default package sequencing software for s90. Audacity (For conversion to MP3) Instruments: Yamaha s90 (keyboard). Computer: Sony PCG-K25 (Relic for all practical purposes) Other Equipment: EDIROL UA-1EX USB audio recorder. USB 2.0 Printer cable (to transfer MIDI data). And that's all. I also have a Boston grand piano and a Yamaha Buffet E-11 clarinet (Vandoran v-3 reeds only!) but those are for other purposes.

Hey sportsfans. Surfing around on the Tunes yesterday I ecountered Frank's latest album 'Awakening of Aggression'. I gotta say that this is his best yet. I'm going to run off and get a card first chance I have and buy it. Especially the first track, 'Awakening'. Any other thoughts?

Reminds me of Noise Unit, or something like that. Very nice. I like the rhythms especially. No complaints to register.

Suprisingly, it took me only an hour to make it once I got started. Very electronic, long intro, but short song overall. Any ideas, questions, complaints or comments are welcome and encouraged.

Well, I shoot myself in the foot so often it's amazing but screwing around on I-Tunes I happened across a 'mysterious'listing of my v3 remix. And so it happens that it was NOT DISTORTED AT ALL OR BARELY and that it was the WAVE file audio recording! Well naturally after almost wetting myself I immediately MP# converted it and here it is! Hal, I would personally encourage you to remix any way you want. Welcome! And you know what? If it doesn't fit here? So what! You made something! A remix! Just do it any way you want, make something YOU are proud of. In my opinion, do that, and you've already gone farther than most musicians out there. Go ahead and remix! The world's open! That's the problem. I like everyone I've gotten so far.

Just bought MECHAssault: Phantom War. My god that is an awesome game! 24 missions, replayable, go back to any mission, nice multiplayer. The graphics is found wanting, but I still love the game itself. Goldeneye RA is also a good game for the DS and my favorite. It requires tactics, precision, and forthought to beat the game, and, well, the powers just make it more fun. Metroid Hunters is incredible, enough said. Episode II for the DS, I like the starship part and the music. And Advance Wars Dual Strike is also quite fun. Eragon I like enough.

0:00-0:56-Does get repetitive, but if that's the way you want it, then do it. See if you can mess around with the velocity, make it zany like your main part. 0:57-1:57-Love it. Crazy. Keep it. 1:58-3:31-Mix it up a bit here too. I'm no music critic, but it starts to get graiting. Then again, listen to my first attempt at the Goldeneye RA remix (Frag Fiesta). Oooh boy. My first version almost put me to sleep with repetitiveness. Basically, screw with the knobs sliders, turn tables or whatever else you got, add some new drum loops if you can. Still, this good.

It sounds like the crazy frog on ****ing cocaine and booze. Ha ha ha. I'm downloading it just so I an piss people off when I play it!

In addition to the clutter symbols, maybe toning down the bass kick a tad would help with the distortion I'm hearing at 0:29-0:42. In addition, adding some higher strings would help balace the symphonic part at at 1:18 and 2:20. I don't know about the plucking synth at 0:44, I'll see if I can counterbalace it somehow, but I do think it is a nice contrast to the throbbing guitar part that it alternates with. I'l also add some dynamics to the strings. Crecendos and decrecendos should help greatly. I also detect something missing at 1:18. I believe a guitar riff is in order to balance it if adding the higher strings part at 1:18 does not fix tha gap I am feeling. Toning down the symbols at 1:18 would also help with the distortion greatly.

Found the clutter. It's a bad symbol idea. I'll town down the high part a bit. I'll improve that attack by changing the velocity a bit, and making them shorter all together perhaps. They'll sound decent then maybe? I like strings. Sort of brings up a "Lawrence of Arabia" feel for me, don't know why, just makes me feel good. I'll work with though. The more often I go back to "fix" the more changes I add, the more new material (in this case, some cool effects would be nice) I fit in, ecetera.

Thanks for the kind complements though. Hmm...clutter from 29-42? I'll work with it. The strings I can fix quick though. I'll just put in a little trick that I have in my hat.
