  1. Just as a little update, I'm back in the saddle on 'Shadowsong' and now Kil'Jayden (sp?). So if your in the neighborhood (server) give me a whisper. I'll most likely be using my main character 'Lhrayven'. I have the same name on both servers.
  2. First time Trygon played this for me I just went, "OH MY GOD," because it was just that awesome to me at the time. It really is nice to hear a remix of a Grandia 2 song considering I don't see/hear much mention of it. It's definately one of my favorites. I feel like the song itself could have been used for at least the staff credits. It also kind of had a Chrono Trigger/Final Fantasy sort of sound at first to me. It's also sort of ethereal in a way as well. Very cool.
  3. Right O. I'll put it in at the correct place then.
  4. So would it be alright if I put in a request here instead of the Sig Shoppe over in TA&N? Because I can do that to.
  5. Says that she was a host and because of the reunion I thought she may have DJed at some point. I must have just embarrassed myself. Oai sorry my bad. Yeah having little audio tools like that are pretty handy and nice.
  6. I'm listening to the reunion right now actually. I think it's pretty cool. I keep wondering if the former DJ Aurora is the one everyone kept refering to when I had changed my name to Aurora Borealis at one point. I tend to use a logitech USB headset myself. It's the one that came with Karaoke Revolution. I find it amusing that I have found other uses for it though such as voice chat (which is something I really don't do, but I guess it's cool if I ever consider doing it). Those microphones are not bad, those are the rough and tough ones. They can at least give you decent sound which, from the sounds of it, they do their job well. It still sounds pretty good, which is what impressed me. I was expecting slightly lower quality, but this was a complete surprise. I am happy for this. LIE! YOU LIE LIKE A RUG! You know not what you speak of! HUSH!
  7. I didn't realize how awesomely amazing this thing was until I listened today. I was hoping to listen to the podcast with Neil Gaiman. Wow this just blew me away. My only question is, what kind of microphones are you guys using? They sound like they are pretty good ones, or it could be just it's running through a really good mixer or both maybe. Just...wow...you guys are pretty awesome. Edit: I voted for you guys by the way.
  8. (Not sure if this is allowed but...) Hello to the current newbies of OCR.
  9. Here is an avatar from the comic series known as 'DAWN'. Dawn/Aurora herself: LT: A little too dark to see very well. Can you brighten the image up a bit so it's easier to see? I make a horned god or rather Darrian AShoka one. Not sure yet.
  10. My varity in music didn't change much until toward the end of my High School years when I was a Junior and on. I got more into Jazz and well, where am I going with this? I enjoyed the remix. It definately is an interesting remix to say the least. However, even I am having a hard time trying to come up with words to describe this remix. I can tell you I enjoy listening to it when I do homework because it helps me focus, which in a way proves it's good at getting someone to focus on something they are trying to get done rather then trying to pick the thing apart instrument by instrument. It's just a very simple piece that I feel stands on its own due to its rather unusual style, I say unusual because I haven't heard anyone else attempt such a remix in such a way. Definately gets my two thumbs up of approval as far as good listening music goes.
  11. This is definately one of my favorite remixes. Just love that techno-beat in the background. The procussion at the beginning almost sounds like the start of some free-style drum circle, which is cool. As for that strange futuristic whistle, that's something diffinately interesting, but I feel it gives the remix personality. When the melody begins to kind of kick in before the harpsichord, I like how almost the game music itself was implemented, because again I felt it gave the remix character and a bit of personality as did when the harpsichord finally did kick in. I really liked that touch, because to me that really gave it a Castlevania touch. One of the things I find cool is that ghostly sort of wind instrument in the background, wouldn't know what to call it, but it gives it a nice 'ghostly' feel as I said before. Overall,I really love the instrumentation. It seems some what rather experimental, but in a good way. I could see myself dancing to this actually if they did play it at a rave or something. Why? Maybe because I'm crazy and maybe it's because I'm a crazy female who loves techno, but one things for sure. I really do love this Remix and I think McVaffe did an excellent job.
  12. Well there you go I edited my last post to have the link to where I've uploaded my sound clips. Crappy recording stuff doesn't do justice to my voice at all. It sounds way better, but that is what I get for using my Karaoke Revolution headset and my Windows Sound recorder. *rolls eyes*
  13. I offer my voice and 5 years of choir experience and my own musical studies to OCRemixers. I am a soprano and used to be much more Pop then anything, but I've evolved into something else that I wouldn't know what to call myself now. I guess I would be varied vocals because I can do quite a range from bass, melody, and soprano. I do have sound clips of my voice, but they aren't the best in the world due to my crappy recording equipment at home. If you want to give a listen I'm more then willing to let you hear what I have. Samples I have: Clean Lyrics to Devil's Never Cry Nightwish's Sleeping Sun Nightwish's Sleepwalker Moonlight Shadow Tsu Ba Sa (Opening to Lunar. I also had Luna's boatsong but I don't have a clue where that file went.) Stray Child from .Hack//SIGN Dreams Come True - English version Hym of the Fayth from FF10 And I think that covers all the samples I would have avaliable aside from the songs I wrote lyrics to. Drop me a line if you need me. If you want to hear some of the others I listed just ask. Keep in mind some of these recordings are fairly old and now I'm not even satisfied with how some of them sound. Here's the link to where I've uploaded the sound bits, hope it works. http://www.putfile.com/lucreshia_cd I do and I don't have the ability to get myself professional quality recorded. I could go to the school and see if there is any higher upper classmen who would like to do a little project like that. This is just a little extra piece of resource I have though and I just thought I'd put it out there.
  14. I recommend herbalism/alchemy. Leatherworking is not all that good. Self sufficience/self buffing pushes any character a lot further than putting armor kits on stuff you can easily buy off AH because of the money you make from seling superfluous potions. I already have leatherworking as my craft. I don't plan on taking up those again till I create a second character, which I do plan on, so it really doesn't matter much.
  15. j0 everyone, I'm back with an update on the WoW situation. For the most part I am on WoW now, the only thing is I'm having problems getting it reinstalled on my computer oddly enough, but I jack a friends comp every now and again to play as my Night Elf/ Lhrayven/ Profession (Probably skinning and leathercrafting)/ Realm: The Deceived Realm and I am going on level 14 right now. This isn't my old character, she was like level 31 or 32. I'm playing on The Deceived Realm which is a free server (in case some did not know that). So if anyone wants, look me up. You can easily find the The Deceived Realm here http://clandeceived.com/. Lucreshia over and out!
  16. Bah,I wish I had known about the 32x32 format sooner, thought it was 40x40 so I have to redo several of the avatars I had made. Oh well, not necessarily a bad thing, just tiring because I made so many. Here are the ones I made -AFTER- I discovered the proper format and what not. These are avatars all from different Castlevania's. Note: I will probably edit this later to add my additional avatars. I'd consider it double-posting on my part if I posted again more of my Castlevania avatars when I could just include them here when I am completely done with them...again. LT: Only 4 and 6 look good so far. The rest don't look detailed enough. 1) Sonia Belmont - Castlevania Legends for the Gameboy and she was also meant to be the starring Belmont in Castlevania: Resurrection along with Victor, whom I like to call the 'Reluctant Belmont'. 2) Richter Belmont - Castlevania Symphony of the Night (Also in Castlevania: Rondo of Blood) This is his evil look. His more peaceful: 3) Mathias Cronqvist - Castlevania: Lament of Innocence This one is a bit blurry, but I tried to make it as clear as possibly without looking to ugly and sharp. (I plan on remaking the other one I had of him) 4) Adrian 'Alucard' Tepes - Castlevania: Symphony of the Night This one also isn't my best, but I tried to make it fairly clear and not so sharp and ugly just like Mathias. 5) Walter Bernard - Castlevania: Lament of Innocence, supposedly the main villian of LOI. 6) Soma Cruz - Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow (Dawn of Sorrow) This is the more traditional Ayami Kojima style and not the anime style (which I am working on) as they did for Dawn of Sorrow. 7) Sarah - Castlevania: Lament of Innocence Maxim Kishine - Castlevania: Harmony of Dissidence 9) Mathias Cronqvist - Castlevania: Lament of Innocence (I personally think this is the better looking one of the two I've made.) 10) Leon Belmont - Castlevania: Lament of Innocence (This was a render of the character) 11) Joachim Armster - Castlevania: Lament of Innocence (This one is decent to me and decent is not like 'awesome' to me but rather in between.)
  17. Wow, thanks for all the info guys. Yeah, I remember the times I ran into horde. There was this one time I was on my way to a quest and this, I believe it was a Tauren, was within the area I was and I was like, "Oh shit, oh shit, please don't kill me". *laughs* I decided to wave at the Tauren when he saw me and he waved right back, I tell you I thought that was pretty damn awesome. They can give us a language barrier, but actions like that are just plain cool, especially if they are friendly and just leave you alone to do whatever it is you are trying to get done. As I said, thanks for the info and I don't know if I will wind up on a PvP server because I'd like to be on one of those servers where they increased the EXP you receive from monsters, so...I don't know how many of those are PvP vs. PvE. PvP probably would be a better experience considering you never know what could happen and that is just half the fun of it, unlike witht he PvE servers.
  18. If I could I'd like to play a bloodelf instead of a Darkelf. If I do eventually play horde again, I think instead of undead I'll play as Tauren or Troll. Troll's, if I remember right, don't care so much about nature as do the Tauren's so I might just picked Tauren based also upon that particular position they have in the horde. But I know I'll be starting with alliance and most likely I will play as Nightelf, unless I get the update for bloodelves. What exactly is the difference between the PvE server and the PvP? I know what PvP stands for, but PvE I'm fairly foggy on. I've never been much of a PvP player, namely because I would hate to think about being killed while I am a low level trying to do my quests and having to run back to my corpse everytime a jack-ass kills me. Is it like that so much? Or is it a bit different from my conceptions?
  19. If and when I get WoW reinstalled and stuff, I'll probably be playing on one of the free fan based servers considering I can't exactly afford the $15 a month to maintain the normal and regular servers of WoW. I used to play on Shadowsong. My regular character was a leather/skinner Craftsmen known as Lhrayven who is a Nightelf with a black nightstalker known as Ebony as her only companion. I'll keep people posted as to when I will get back on and on which specific free-server as well. It would be nice to play with some reliable people. And hopefully people around the same level as me who can help me out with some of my quests. *groans remembering some of her old quests*
  20. So I'm new here at OCRemix. A friend of mine by the name of Trygon convinced me to finally get on the boards because he said the community was fairly nice compared to some of the other forums out there. I decided what the hey and thought I'd give it a try. A little about myself: I'm a -female-, yes that's right -female-, and I play -Video Games-. I am 20. I enjoy video games and I love the music that is composed for them. Sometimes I wish people could hear the beautiful music that is composed for them so maybe they might see there is another aspect to games that makes them not so bad as they think. If you see me doing this -....- around a word, I'm just doing that to emphasis maybe a hidden joke, meaning, or sometimes the blatently obvious which I've already demonstrated. So it isn't that I am getting frustrated, touchy, or upset just I am expressing myself in a different way. If you go to my profile you will not find much there, however, you will find my myspace profile and other stuff. I just decided to make it easier on myself, not to type all my interests and such all over again and again. What I like: I enjoy Video game music, pretty much all genres of music, all forms of art, video games, training (weight, weapon, etc), singing, writing and I'll just leave it at that for now.
