Yeah. It turns out they were waiting for the final physical product. They have it now and are just waiting for me to fill out some information but I want to send out the backers CDs first.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mmdOlQGMYZM Here you go guys. Thank you both for all the great advice. I definitely agreed with OneUp about the sung sections and followed his advice and added a harmony. I also changed the drums to hip hop sounding drums and I think that Damashii was right on the money with that advice. You guys ROCK! I hope you enjoy it!

Here you go, guys! The finished version! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mmdOlQGMYZM I hope you enjoy it. -
I'm trying the trial version of Corel 6X right now. So far it seems to be working fine. It hasn't crashed yet but it's not easy to use as Videopad editor. I'm getting used to it, though. It can do a lot more than Videopad so in the end, I'd like to think that this program could be the one. I'm pretty sure this trial version is the same as the full version just with a thirty-day time limit. On a separate note, I exported my Videopad video as a very high quality avi file that took about 10 minutes to render so that I could keep everything as beautiful as possible but when I went to upload that to YouTube, it said it would take 180 minutes! Any recommendations on file size? Thanks for all your help everyone.

OK. I have decided. VideoStudio Pro X6 is a good one for me, I think. It's got a reputation of being easy to use, which is kind of important to me, and I was really happy to read a couple reviews that said it has never crashed once. THAT is what I need. I'm downloading a trial right now. I'm going to attempt to abuse it a bit and see what happens.

*SIGH* I think Premiere 2.0 is way too old to do ANYTHING anymore. All I wanted to do was import some video into it. It doesn't seem to support flv and when I tried to upload a different file type, it just stayed at 0% and never increased. Should have known there would be no free solution. I wanted to add just ONE more picture to the end of my video in Videopad Editor, did that, it crashed, and now every time I open the project, it crashes immediately after it loads 100% of the time. THIS IS MY LIFE EVERY TIME I EVER DO ANYTHING WITH A COMPUTER!!!

New Mercenary Album - Any Metal Fans Out There?
The Legendary Zoltan replied to AngelCityOutlaw's topic in General Discussion
Very nice. Had never heard of this band before. -
Thanks, everyone. For now I went ahead and downloaded the outdated Premiere Pro 2 since it's free. This first video cannot be saved. It has been exported and is of high quality but SOME small details that I could see in the in-editor preview are not the same after exporting. I've tried a variety of formats and options to see if I can make it look exactly like the preview but nothing has worked. So I'm going to go ahead and release this one and then try Premiere (which means I'll have to learn this crap ALL OVER AGAIN) for the next one. I'll let you know how it goes.

I just found this top ten video editing software page. http://video-editing-software-review.toptenreviews.com/ The one I have, Videopad is number 7. Among all that were mentioned, premiere was said to be very stable and that appeals to me. If someone could vouch for Cynberlink Powerdirector I would just get that one since it is the cheapest and seems to be the best.

Thanks a lot for the help everyone. I appreciate it. I guess some details about what exactly I'm looking for would help. To be honest Videopad Editor does everything I need. It just keeps crashing and I don't know how to make it stop. I just need some the range of effects I need will not be huge. I have mostly just used fades, zooming, camera movement, brightness, and a shatter transition effect. Oh, and opacity. I would assume that these are all the most basic effects. Considering how close I am to completing the video if it doesn't crash, I think I'd be wasting some money if I got something that costs hundreds of dollars. I think Videopad was like fifty bucks or something. So After effects is just for additional effects? Considering that my tasks may be fairly simple for now, perhaps I don't need anything as flashy as that. . . Someday, though.

What do the people who make those awesome OCR and Zircon videos use? I just tackled for my first time ever making a video with a variety of effects and lots of timing editing with Videopad Editor. It's a great program except that it crashes literally EVERY 90 SECONDS! I need to use something a little better than Windows Movie Maker. Any suggestions? I would like to show you the video I made but I can't because it keeps crashing every time I load the subtitles. AAAAAARGH!

Definitely. I REALLY hope that they can develop Gaikai to be a really smooth running thing with to s of games. Then I'll buy some games that I missed. I have NO IDEA when they'll release in Japan and that really bothers me. I want to play Black Flag!

I hate you guys right now. I hate you all so bad. Especially, Brandon Strader.

Lusipurr.com has an opening for a musician

My production skills are also not that good but I think as long as you use your own judgement and change anything that doesn't sit well with your own ears, most others will be satisfied as well. I was producing one song per month. Some of the stuff he asks for is very challenging if you are not versed in certain genres. The very first task I had was to turn Zeal's theme into a John Phillips Souza style march. You can listen to what I did here. http://lusipurr.com/category/music/ -
Lusipurr.com has an opening for a musician

I work (voluntarily) at a video game news editorial website called Lusipurr.com as the Music Director. Music director simply means that I compose and remix music for the site. It's a really interesting site with lots of great writers and well-informed opinions. I'm going to stop working there at the end of this month to concentrate on other projects which means my position will need filling by a competent remixer/composer. The website is fairly popular. Their weekly podcast gets a few thousand downloads. It is not a paid position, there will be some restrictions on the types of music you are allowed to publish on the site, and there will be some rules and other small tasks involved but it is a VERY valuable experience because not only will your music be in front of an audience every month (or more, if you have the time) but you can also see first-hand what is involved in running this type of website, be on their weekly podcast, and learn a lot about a lot of different things from the leader of the website, Lusipurr, who is an exquisitely educated man. You can apply directly by filling out the job application. It's aimed at writers so make sure to mention that you want to be the music director in the email. http://lusipurr.com/documents/application.txt If you have questions or would like more details of my experience there, you can reply or PM. Thank you. Sincerely, The Legendary Zoltan -

I just found out that Smooth McGroove does NOT use auto-tuning. He talked about it in a patreon supporters-only meeting. Now we know and now I'm even MORE impressed. -
Every single online game ever seems to have server problems the first week or so. I saw this game during their kickstarter campaign and it looks really fun. I have an ipad so I might try it out. I don't know though. After Breath of Fire 6, Circle of Mana, AND Star Ocean: Material Trader, I'm too upset to give ANY iOS game a chance right now. The gem socketing into cards sounded epic, though.

That's right Chimp. Start when you're 77, and it can still happen!
