  1. http://forums.heroesofnewerth.com/showthread.php?t=112584 Aaaaand perhaps my best thread so far.
  2. oh look, its this guy again (the OP, not Justin Bieber)
  3. http://forums.heroesofnewerth.com/showthread.php?p=1476653 I am working on something... :3
  4. Sad but true, unfortunately. It's a bit better now, since there's a tutorial and automatic matchmaking, but yeah, that article is pretty accurate.
  5. I think Fayde requires some big, static damage on her ult, rather than the scaling slow, to make her more effective as a ganker.
  6. http://forums.heroesofnewerth.com/showthread.php?t=107940 They see me trollin~ Oh and
  7. I guess I shouldn't be mentioning that the new patch is out then. Some highlights of this patch: - New Hellbourne Agility Hero: Fayde - Lifesteal will NOT stack with attack modifiers anymore (shieldbreaker, frostburn etc.) - Major buffs to Chipper.
  8. Having played a bit of LoL myself I have to say it shouldn't be too hard to make the switch into this game. Controls, concepts and terminology are all pretty much the same. Main problem would be learning all the different heroes and items.
  9. Awwwwwwwwwww edit: AGI pusher done! http://forums.heroesofnewerth.com/showthread.php?t=105111
  10. Got to play Fayde a bit and she's a heavily tweaked version of Nerubian Assassin with a bit of Phantom Lancer. I like. Codex as a core item.
  11. http://forums.heroesofnewerth.com/showthread.php?t=104027 Damn, Fayde looks sexy as hell. This might just be Phantom Lancer actually. Also, I like your idea a lot, both in terms of concept and skills, allowing for tons of potential map control and pushing. The only thing you might consider adding is some form of direct damage, (AoE) nuke with maybe a pseudo-disable attached (even something like a slow).
  12. There's currently an INT Ganker/AGI Pusher hero creation contest happening, and the gist of it is that the winners of the contest will be made into actual heroes in the game. Feedback on my suggestion would be appreciated. :3 (Also, the vote is mostly about the skills and playing style, not so much about the concept) http://forums.heroesofnewerth.com/showthread.php?t=103659
  13. happy birthday, and dont let those trolls and psychopants get to you!
  14. Anyone interested in getting a team together for a tourney? Next saturday starting at 3 PM. http://forums.heroesofnewerth.com/showthread.php?t=93029 (The dates in the thread are old, it got postponed a week due to the XP bug)
  15. Done. Can't believe I didn't think of that myself. I do have this pun to share though: <@Tensei> tabcom doesnt help with pushing <@Tensei> ironically Oh and: http://hon.esportmedia.com/video/2010/04/09/new-hero-sneek-peek-chipper
  16. It's not necessarily that you have to be 'good' at it, it's more that the game should be balanced on the assumption that the players know the 'rules'. If you walk into a Goomba in Super Mario Bros., you could say it's unfair that you died, because you didn't know walking into something had that effect. Goomba's should not be nerfed just because of this. Heroes of Newerth is of course a bit different because it has a lot more of these 'rules' (i.e. having to memorize skills for 60 heroes, as well as the effects of a number of items). I think that's the point zircon is trying to make.
  17. I'm going to frame this and hang it above my bed. Oh, and this weeks new hero will be EPIC: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=3812390&id=63037549101
  18. Doublepost, but needs to be said: Open beta is out. Go to http://www.heroesofnewerth.com/ and register now.
  19. This was after he went mid with hag. Because his hag is really good. (I've tried to force some memes out of this interview )
  20. I swear, she gets banned all the time, definitely worth a double mention!
  21. Open beta tomorrow! Also swiftblade has suddenly become one of the best carries. Gotta love the shifting metagame. I'd say the current 'top' tier heroes would consist of Swiftblade, Defiler, Corrupted Disciple, Slither, Defiler and Pollywog Priest (based on the amount of play they've seen in the most recent competitive matches), with an honorable mention of Engineer who suddenly is starting to see a lot more play due to the strong pushing/counterpushing capabilities.
  22. Ah, and here's the answer to the matter of physical copies: http://forums.heroesofnewerth.com/showpost.php?p=1062471&postcount=15 Edit: Open beta coming 3/31 http://hon.esportmedia.com/2010/03/27/open-beta-to-come-out-331
