Zephyr "Wisdom flies with the wind." Article by: Tensei-San Pictured from: Heroes of Newerth Created by: S2 Games First appearance: 2010 Bio Zephyr is one of 60+ playable heroes in the PC game Heroes of Newerth. While the game is based on a Warcraft III modification called "Defense of the Ancients", and borrows many ideas and elements from it, Zephyr is a completely original creation by S2 Games. According to the in-game lore, Zephyr is part of the Beast Horde, a faction of anthropomorphic animals who have allied themselves with the Legion of humans to combat the nefarious Hellbourne faction and defend the land of Newerth. Zephyr does not have a lot of characterization, but he is described as a riddler, a sage, and a lover of sweets. In combat he is simply known as the warrior of the winds. Zephyr's design is based on the looks of real-life horned owls. In-game, Zephyr utilizes his wind-based powers for both offense and defense, allowing him, for example, to blow his enemies into a desired direction, or to use a wind shield to deflect blows and increase his movement speed. His ultimate skill involves him conjuring a huge typhoon that slows down and damages any enemies caught within, dealing more damage the closer they are to the center. Zephyr is a popular and strong pick, and isn't hard to learn even for newer players. His cyclones give him both the ability to heal himself, as well as a way of getting an early gold-advantage, while his wind shield gives him great resilience, making him a hero that's quite balanced on both offense and defense. Zephyr enjoys considerable popularity among the Heroes of Newerth community due to his relatively goofy appearance, which made him the focal point of several forum memes, such as "party-time Zephyr", depicting him surrounded by rainbows and disco balls, and a variation on "Haters gonna hate", featuring the owl with a decidedly smug look on his face. Selected game appearances === Windows/OS X === Heroes of Newerth (2010) References Zephyr on the official Heroes of Newerth site. Zephyr on the Heroes of Newerth Wiki. The second pass (where they showed the line) obviously was onside. The initial pass was almost definitely offside, even though Iniesta didn't receive the ball, he was in an advantageous position, so the call should have been made at that point. Red card was awarded for a pretty obvious dive, a corner kick got turned into a goal kick for some reason, shitty ref etc. Terrible game overall. Spain didn't look nearly as impressive as they did against Germany, and Netherlands just fouled way too much. Definitely not fun to watch. Honestly, Germany - Uruguay would have made for a better final.

Goal was offside.

The way you play this game is you keep suiciding until you roll a shaman. Then you just link a bunch of boards and anvils together with engines (button N) to create a scary physics-breaking death trap that will launch everyone who even comes near it offscreen. That is how you play this game.

Khedira and Sweinsteiger just weren't up to par as defensive midfielders when pitted against players like Xavi and Iniesta. Müller's absence hurt Germany on the right flank as well. Thankfully our defensive midfield has motherfucking Van Bommel who's, simply put, a thug that gets away with the heaviest fouls. It will be interesting.

Germany needs to win.

yaaaaaaaaay holland de gekste

Get back to me when I can play with people from the US, and I'll give it a second look.

Battle.net 2.0 ruins any merit the game itself might have. It just goes to show how far current Activision Blizzard has their heads stuck up their asses.
-
SC2 will be terrible anyway, so eh, no big loss.

Picked up Just Cause 2 with the DLC earlier. It's incredibly awesome and I greatly recommend it while it's still on a discount. One of the best sandbox type games I've ever played.
-
Uruguay will be playing the semi's without one of their two good players, so I very much doubt they have a chance to win. Spain didn't look very impressive against Paraguay today, but they might be more effective against Germany.

Yes, this, I have never seen a group of paraphiliacs (because that's what it is) with a bigger sense of entitlement and self-pity than furries.

Argentina got destroyed pretty badly.

I really don't think there should be any controversy about what Suárez did. He got the appropriate punishment from the referee, and it really is Gyan's own fault that he didn't shoot the PK in (PKs are like the closest thing to a guaranteed goal). Suárez literally took one for the team, and knowingly made a hands ball to give his team a tiny chance to still win the match on penalty kicks, and somehow it worked out. Blame the rules, not the player. Unrelated but god tier save against brazil: Edit: some more gifs!

Completely unrelated but still pretty damn funny (they're Algerian fans). But yea, overall, today's games reminded me of why this is the best sport.

Fucking brilliant save by Suarez.

For one of the newest additions to the OCR-mascots. Feedback is much appreciated. Next weekend will be a free to play weekend to celebrate the new patch (similar to what you get with TF2 from time to time), so if anyone is interested in trying out this game without having to pay, now's the chance. -

This, basically. Pretty sure Sonic Team/Disney don't have their own furaffinity accounts. This game looked interesting to me because I didn't even make the connection with furries or sexualization of anthropomorphic characters, and I thought of it more as some sort of hommage to TMNT-style cartoons. Of course then people started bringing up furries and now I'm weirded/grossed out and the game's spoiled for me.
