  1. Japan time. Ridley fight music, sounds pretty damn good, imo. Makes me excited. Of course this will probably lead to much more "ridley in ssbb?!??!" speculation....but either way, good stuff.
  2. ...and without the deadly running water beneath the stage, and not to mention those damn krocs that jump up. Plus, with a little help from our good friend MSPaint, if you look at the size of the characters in comparison to the stage itself, it turns out to be fairly large. I'd say it's a little smaller than the size of Final Destination.
  3. I'd be very (pleasantly) suprised if it came out any time before October. If MP3 is coming out Aug.20, then I'm thinking that the spacing may be Smash in october, and Mario Galaxy in December, so they all have a month in between. More likely I think Smash won't be out til November, but whatever. Really, as long as they keep to their "sometime in 2007" promise, I'll be extatic. Originally I wasn't expecting to see it until late 2008 (don't want to get the hope up )
  4. If I'm not mistaken, there's already a Phendrana Drifts remix on the site, in case it has escaped notice. That being said, I wouldn't mind this game getting more attention for remixes myself.
  5. My thoughts exactly. (And I don't even use many advanced tactics, although I plan on looking into them more before Brawl comes out). That'd be interesting if they'd be able to incorporate that... That being said, what do you guys think the odds are of them incorporating "advanced techniques" into the computer AI? That'd be pretty badass, IMO. (Though highly unlikely, I'm sure)
  6. I remember a debate about what they were actually saying going on when the game came out....never heard any official word as to what it was though myself. Hell, it could be in japanese, or it could be just gibberish (<-----most likely, imo).
  7. Thanks, I'll have to check that out. Maybe rent marble mania...At any rate the virtual console is keeping me busy enough with fun games that I haven't gotten to experience before, and the original monkey ball is still challenging enough for me that I could always go back to it for the 9,999 play point challenge or something if I get truly bored. I also didn't play monkey ball 2 all that thoroughly, so I may revisit that at some point in the future. Plenty to keep me busy until Metroid Prime 3.
  8. Huh, that's too bad to hear. I was wondering about the new monkey ball game myself...I was playing the first one just this morning, actually. Oh well, maybe I'll rent it and see for myself.
  9. Some random ones of the top of my head: -Fav. Char month -Fav. Game month -A specific series month (ie: Mario Series themed month, Mega Man series themed month, etc) -Level 1 month (or alternatively Last level month) I like that idea, but do you think there are enough damsels (in distress) out there in games? I can only think of a few right now. At any rate, I'm having trouble thinking of anything good quality...it's hard to match End Boss month. I was only lurking at the time, but it was pretty damn cool.
  10. I was just about to post this myself. It looks like they may actually keep up with the daily updates, which is pretty nice, especially, when they run out of old info to post, and we might actually see some new stuff. Here's to hoping.
  11. They'll probably just do what they did in Melee; have multiple tracks per level, and it will randomly select which song to play when you enter the stage. Or at least that's what I'd assume (and hope). That way we can see all kinds of different takes from different composers on various songs we all know and love.
  12. ....... EDIT: It'll be fun to see what all these various composers will do with the classic nintendo themes. I wonder why they decided to get so many..? Not that it's a bad thing, of course. At any rate, I just hope we see a release date soon...that's all I really want. They could leave everything else in the dark until it's released, as long as we get that release date sometime (preferably) soon.
  13. Well according to someone up there ^ we've got about 20 minutes till it's midnight across the US (excluding AK (where I am) and Hawaii of course)...so we'll see then. It'll be 11pm for me. I'm killing time playing starfox 64 and other VC titles ....anyway, let's cross our fingers for the top of the hour.
  14. *sigh* I'm done waiting. Maybe I just won't get on the interwebs for the next few days so that the next time that I DO there'll almost certainly be something there.
  15. I was there for the first 100 issues or so, but lost interest in the magazine shortly after (mainly because they were well set into the N64 (and shortly after the GCN) which I didn't own at the time. I tried to re-subscribe later, but felt that the magazine had lost its charm on me. Hopefully it'll just be getting a face-lift though; not a complete shutdown. Ah well. Only time will tell.
  16. I think we could probably include the in the list.
  17. Yeah, I remember reading enough of other people's posts regarding virtual console controls/controllers that I made sure to pick one of them up. Right now I've got Donkey Kong Country, Mario Kart 64, and Star Fox 64, but am looking for some that I haven't yet experienced to add to the list as opposed to old favorites that I'm already familiar with. Most titles on the current VC list are ones that I haven't played (save for punch out!!, the zelda's, the mario's, and f-zero).
  18. After my stupid mistake from last week, I managed to find myself a used wii (came with everything except wii sports...but oh well) yesterday. Warioware is a bit easier than I thought it would be, but I haven't started Super Paper Mario yet, or any VC stuff. Anyone have some of their favorite VC recommendations?
  19. Irony indeed...and yeah, I was pleasantly surprised about the avatars...didn't see Arek though, which is too bad, I guess. I think I'm the only one I've seen sporting the Lufia avatars... Edit: Just kidding, I see Bahamut has changed his
  20. I was at gamestop this last weekend, and they actually had multiple wii systems in stock. Unfortunately, I didn't have a lot of money in my bank account (college tuition, etc etc) and so I passed up the opportunity, figuring that it had finally gotten to the point where wii's have become common in stores now (I don't leave campus very often). Of course later I realize that rather than dump $500 on every wii game and accessory I want along with the system, I could have just scraped together $250 (which I had) and gotten the system, and the rest later. Of course once I realize this, I check back and they're all gone again. I missed my brief window of opportunity.
  21. I sometimes listen to the FzeroGX soundtrack while driving on occasion...makes for some fun (though nerdy:|) driving.
  22. QFT. I had a great time playing the game a couple of times, lots of fun, yadda yadda, but the dialogue at times was pretty unbearable. BTW, since my map no longer works apparently without breaking the game (literally), does anyone know where I can find area maps (of decent quality) on teh intarwebs? I'm about to check gamefaqs, but am not too hopeful.
