  1. I <3 Virtua Fighter 5 . Strangely enough, my PS3 consumes my free time...Super Stardust HD is too addicting.
  2. Yeah, basically some users were out of hand, and so part of the solution was to delete it and erect Offtopic, and make the forum rules more well-defined & enforced. Before, it was almost impossible to do something without users going into an uproar over it, no matter how trivial.
  3. Well, I don't think the sales matter so much...at least to us anyway. There are lots of dynamics with sales figures, such as sales (as in discounted items) for consoles & games playing into it as well. What matters is how good of an experience are people having.
  4. Sad thing about the PS3 is that it has some good titles. Just most people have a hard time plunking down $550-650 on a console. But that's a tangential. I think the Wii's offering is pretty damn solid for the first year. Most consoles, if not all others, have far worse lineups in their first year, and it's impressive that Nintendo was able to support it so well, something that generally isn't done.
  5. I wasn't saying that at all. I was just saying that for the most part I've been playing games of the previous gen. I have lots of games here that I'd love to play at some point, like Super Paper Mario, Motorstorm, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, and lots of others, but it's just that right now I'm leaning more towards playing games that I've missed out on. For example, all my non-handheld gaming this summer has been on PS2 games, namely Rogue Galaxy and Dragon Quest VIII.
  6. Eh, I don't see why the Wii is considered a fad. That said, I have to say that I spend most of my time on my PS3 these days, with Super Stardust HD and various PS2 RPGs I've missed out on. I have loads of current gen games here for all three consoles that I could be playing, yet I keep going back to the PS2 games and Fire Emblem for Gamecube (only started it recently).
  7. A girl Mario is cheating with.
  8. pixietricks also didn't have a problem with the mixing either - my settings on my stereo is -2 dB low, +6 dB mid & high. But it was more noticeably mixed back than most of my music. Edit: So, I relistened briefly to a few other tracks to check, and I think it's with some of the songs where this is a problem, not necessarily all of them.
  9. So I forgot to post here, but I got the CD back last Saturday (10 days or so for international mail isn't so bad). There was obviously a lot of effort put into the packaging - you just don't see so much there with most CDs, from the blue tissue paper to the handwritten & signed card. Now for the CD itself...I was surprised that there was two CDs, and at the number of songs. It was also different from what I expected, being largely piano driven. I liked a good number of songs, although I did have one problem - the vocals sounded mixed too far back - on my stereo, they definitely sound a little too faint compared to the instruments. I'm not sure whether this is intentional, but it's my only real complaint. Otherwise, nice work
  10. Personally, I'd be willing to listen to as long as you make it. As for the average person, depends on how interesting you make it - then again, I'm a fan of the you build it, they will come philosophy.
  11. Oh shit, Super Metroid came out today? *goes to buy it*
  12. Ok, now is a time for a lock since some of you are taking it a bit too far.
  13. Eekk...like 6 games I want. It's gonna be hard not purchasing anything....but MAGFest and visiting NY for Thanksgiving takes priority.
  14. Eh, as bad as this is, there's no reason to give him any leg to stand on for any more retaliation.
  15. So I got my PS3 running online...and man is the PSN Store buggy. I had troubles using their initial links for downloading the games and had to exit the store and return to download them. Not to mention purchase pages sometimes flips out on me too. Got me flOw and Super Stardust HD though, so I can't wait to play them. But that's the whole appeal of Geometry Wars - I love that aspect of it and its why I keep going back to it. It harks back to the days of high scoring and such. Edit: After a little more than 2 hours of Super Stardust HD, holy shit, the game kicks ass. The curve is nice and fast paced for the difficulty. I'm hoping the fun still holds much later, although climbing the rankings is fun. So far I'm up to around 10000th in the rankings.
  16. Yeah he said he had his own javascript problem there. Edit: Oh, since there's a Wii number and XBL gamertag option on here for profiles, can one be added for PSN IDs for PS3s?
  17. [02:37am] Legion303: http://www.ocremix.org/o/composers returns 404 [02:37am] Legion303: and all download links [02:37am] Legion303: etc Edit: Problem solved? Looks like Legion just had his own issue there.
  18. Oh shit...last names agree. Damn, someone did some digging there
  19. Oh whoops. Yeah I can't read at times...
