  1. Absolutely. I've beaten it at least 5ive times. Also, you can probably get it pretty cheap used since it's a launch title. I think it's also on the greatest hit's list too. If you're not completely sure, you can download the resistance 1 demo.
  2. So can anyone tell me the lineup of songs they used? Any outside of their CD? (Besides zanarkand and kiss me goodbye of course)
  3. I bought Killzone 2 and absolutely hated it. That is until about 6 hours into the game. It forces you to use a completely different style of play that I've never used before. This is due to the terrible controls that is supposed to make the guns feel heavy. I found out that the best thing you can do in the single player campaign is to keep firing at the enemies cover while running up to it and walking beside them and melee-ing (the only thing that you can actually hit with) them to death. I haven't tried any of the online play yet because I'm having way too much fun with resistance 2 online. So here's my thoughts on resistance. The first game was awesome, but nowadays lacks any online fan base. You might want to play it for the storyline and to experience the awesome world that insomniac created. Speaking of which, when I beat Resistance 2, I saw in the credits a special thanks to Naughty Dog. I saw another special thanks to Naughty Dog in the credits for Killzone 2 as well. (I think) Does anyone know why? But anyway, when I bought resistance 2, I was thrown for a loop. The sequel wasn't resistance at all. The controls worked differently, it was much more creepy, Nathan Hale isn't the same person from the first game and you face completely different enemies than in the first game. I honestly didn't care much for the single player game. But the online co-op makes it completely worthwhile. It played kind of like an MMO. In co-op mode, there are 3 classes. One can take damage, one can dish it out, and one can heal. All 3 classes are extremely well balanced, and you need all three types to do well. I currently have 2 level 14 characters in that mode. What's even better is that the levels mutate. I swear that they take different levels and paste them together for different missions. And you run around the map in several different paths trying to complete certain objectives. And it evolves in game. For instance, there is a section of the co-op mode where you need to guard the tunnel entrance. If you do poorly (a bunch of people die) the objective will be short. But if you do really well, they will send bigger and bigger waves of enemies at you. It works so well. And competitive mode? I barely touched it yet. The co-op is too much fun to get away from. One last thing. Is there a way to play music in the background? I can't figure out a way to do that.
  4. If I had to name one gripe about this song, it would be the use of repetitive words. Like saying "in rivers, in rivers" I'm not a fan of that technique. And then you used it twice in the same sentence. "won't wash away, wash away Nowhere to run from what I have done I'm no longer, no longer" Ok, so that's the only thing I didn't care about in this song. It's being nit picky, but that's my critique. But what I find absolutely amazing about your take on writing lyrics is that you pay attention to when the song is playing and describe the emotion at that time. Take for example, the song 'Summoner's Love' . It's a great song, but it doesn't stay true to the time when it was played. However, you took a song that played during Beatrix's inner-struggle and molded your lyrics around her to fit with the scene rather than a broad overview of the game's theme. Thank you for coming over here and gracing us with you talent. Here's to hoping you drop by again.
  5. I missed the detroit viewing because I thought I had class... but it was the week between the last class and the exam so I didn't know until it was too late. Anyway, I heard a rumor that they played 'Kiss me Goodbye' (FFXII) per Nobuo's request. I have to know, did they do it? That's one of my favorite ff songs ever.
  6. never mind, just found out from a sales rep that the deal is already sold out. The guy wanted to buy 2 for his kids...
  7. So I'm trying to find that deal, but I can't quite get it. I click the psp 2000 and it only says a $10 rebate. Sale ends tomorrow at 6am so I would like if anyone can give some help now.
  8. Well then, let me ask another question. Who paid who? Did Pepsi pay Blizzard to make game fuel or was it the other way around? They both seem to gain something out of it. also this
  9. So when Halo 3 came out in 07' and Pepsi showed off their new product 'game fuel' featuring master chief I was indifferent. At halo parties, there is always dew around and game fuel seemed like just another money making scheme trying to capitalize on someone else's success. Then I find out that they are doing it again. What I have to ask is, why World of Warcraft? First of all, the game is 5ive years old by now. I was still in high school when it was released. It's far too late to try and introduce a soda based on it. Secondly, World of Warcraft isn't a game you need energy drinks to play. In Halo, there is fast paced action that requires twitchy fingers to perform well. But in WoW, the pace is much slower. You don't need sugar rushes to win. On the contrary, what it takes to win in WoW is skill and tactics... and really good equipment. Or so I would guess. I've never played the game myself. But anyway, when I first saw it I saw no point in it. What do you all think?
  10. Dispite taking place right outside of hoover dam, the fight scene of Transformers was filmed in Detroit. I live an hour north of there.
  11. No, Paul avoided Ephasus because Antonio Pizza wasn't there to help him. :P

  12. Speaking of which, I'm playing through it again... after getting to lvl 92 with no tails to show for it. I just got kain back and I'm having some trouble with the wind archfiend. Also, RELEVANT VIDEO!!! Why didn't you get this guy for a part in the project?
  13. The only thing stopping me from buying this game is the controls. But I just heard that there is a patch out or almost out for it. Can anyone verify this? I really want in on this game, but I'm sure there are too many people that are used to the controls and would destroy me while I try to figure it out. Also, is the patch a single and multiplayer control fix? Seems foolish that they would only do one or the other.
  14. Probably redone footage counts for part of the 45 minutes.
  15. You know, there are only a couple times I would ever buy a game new at full price. I'm patient enough to find it used at a reduced price and Uncharted 2 might be a game that I pick up on the release date. In the meantime, my birthday was a month ago, and my brother said he was going to get me advent children complete when it came out. It's been four days since it's release and he still hasn't done anything about it yet. I should go bug him right now.
  16. But that brings up a question. PSP only has two shoulder buttons. How does that convert a ps1 title that has 4 shoulder buttons?
  17. But still, umd's have an advantage over their downloadable counterparts. They don't take any space on their hard drive, and more importantly, you can find them used at a discounted price. Can't do that otherwise. That's why I'm waiting for the dissidia bundle. Any mention of when birth by sleep is coming out?
  18. I saw a comment on gametrailers that the ps3 will have a monthly fee for this game. Obviously it's just a comment, but does anyone have proof that it wont?
  19. Right, but it seems that Camino(sp) specializes in making armies for profit. Much like an arms dealer. So do you think it could still be them? All the sith did look alike you know...then again, we didn't get to see many faces.
  20. Man, I have class so I can't go. I haven't missed a class since starting college in 06'. But for this occasion I would... except that it's a lab and you're not allowed to miss even one.
  21. So why isn't this on the ds? http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-09-final-fantasy/50210
  22. So..... That looked like a clone transport. And then the ships attacking from the air at the end looked like clone battlecruisers. Does this mean that the attacking sith are all clones?
  23. That's my question. I was really looking into the dissidia bundle but was holding out to learn more about the psp-go. How exactly are we supposed to use it as a gaming tool without external media disks? I would assume that the only way would be to download each and every game individually off of the playstation store, but that still brings up the question, what if you delete it for lack of space? Would you then need to buy it again after you want to play? I don't know. The thing that got me interested was the second analog thingy which looks like it goes only up and down and the rumor of the touch screen. What do you all think?
  24. You know, with the rarity in people actually doing ps2 online (forgive my ignorance if I'm wrong. I just don't see anyone that did it.) this should be a much more successful game. PS3 right out of the box has free online play. I don't know if I'll get it, seeing as I've never done an mmo before, but I'll definately keep my eye on it.
