So after this got rejected and I decided to go through with refining this and having the time to do so, I got some help from the wip irc channel and a few veterans. Some of you who've heard this already may remember the previous version and will be able to point out the big differences. So uh here it is Source Original Revised I decided to put the original up there for those who haven't heard the original. So if there are still some issues that need to be fixed please let me know because I plan for this one to get YES'ed this time. EDITS:After listening to what Radiowar and a few others said,I upped the ocataves on those synths so it should be less cluttering and made some changes to a few more things...

I definitely did not hear what you heard everything sounded fine to me or they really wouldn't have accepted it according to what you've just said but I guess everyones ears is different I suppose =/. Any not everyone can rap even if you do have a sense of beat. You gotta be able to deliver, there's got to be a voice, noone is gonna listen to a girly sounding man rap about what he did at the mall and you still gotta have the lyrics so all in all you're definitely wrong. But that is as far as I go before this turns into some huge debate, so my apologies to djpretzel and The Vagrance but I had to say it lol xD.

Whoa this is a dope piece right here. This definitely has a DJ Shadow sound to it. The broody feel is nice. While I did like the lyrics towards the end, it feels kinda tacked on I probably woulda saved that for another track and left this just as an instrumental either way though this remix is kick ass.

If you've gone through the trail so fast. How in the hell do you get those red things up at the top with those stupid ass hoops? Me and my roommate tried it for a good solid hour and we just gave up after that.

#1 Do (or did) you know about OCR's resources and guidelines, like the guides, the remixing forum, the #ocrwip irc channel, the checklist, the submission standards, the remixing tab, the tutorials category...? Yes never bothered to utilize any of that stuff except the #ocrwip channel but that doesn't work for me for some reason =/. #2 What's the main thing you want from the wip board, what kind of feedback? Criticism, advice, suggestions, general opinion, help, encouragement... something else? As much as I love the feedback. What I really want is to see people use that checklist because critiques wasn't enough to give my recent submission a yes when the things I was lacking coulda been checked in the checklist. So what I'm tryin to get at is critiques that follow the submission standards all the way through #3 What motivates you to review (if you do)? Game, remixer, genre, thread popularity... or...? Pretty much what Audix said #4 Do you have an idea for improving the WIP board (see list), an observation you'd like to share, or something else to say about the WIP board and its use and quality? Don't really know what to improve really. I'm still a nubie to this place, so I have a lot to learn myself but what I can say is that when people do give replies about the wip at hand, people are pretty useful in what you should add or what's wrong even if it is on the personal level #5 Is there anything in particular that bothers you about the WIP board? Even if it's not mine, the fact that some peoples wip's go unnoticed. But I don't really have any suggestions about that. And the fact that people don't provide ample critiquing on wips meaning the stuff that truly matters like I was told when they judged it, they told me the treble was too high, not enough "meat on the textures" but I wasn't told any of this in the wip forums so yeah...

I don't think that would work. What they look for is, how should i put it, modification of the source tune. Like counter melodies, adding in notes, and the like. While I think this sounds good so far, you should just expand on the source tune while not making it too liberal because they'll get you on that as well, hope that helps.

That's pretty sad when people have to go out of their way to take credit for other peoples work. People like that should have their eyes gouged out by He-Man as punishment so they can't see themselves doing it. Edit: @sephire - Agreed lol

After the chopping though, I want to save it as a .rex file and I can't find out how to do that unless I can't or I'm just missing it...

I was wanting to slice the vocal sample itself with the file being a .rex file. Can I only do that using ReCycle?

I was wonderin if there is anyway to create loops with FL Studio. Everytime I try to use the slicer, it takes me to the BeatSlicer and I only have the demo of that and I don't have ReCycle. I was wanting to cut this vocal wav to use with Reason but I don't even know where to start unless I'm not lookin hard enough =/.

I have another question: Are the songs, that are posted in the "To be Judged" section judged in any particular order or do you just pick one randomly? Just wonderin because I have a song up there now that I'm waiting to be judged and I was wonderin if I know when it'll be judged or just wait till I see it up there...

Funny because I just got done jammin to this song like 50 times over the other day. Has a nice techno feel to it, I like it.

A firewall maybe? From what I know, I don't think you need an update at all. You just might have to shell out 20 bucks for the ethernet adapter, it's a lot better to get that for future online games anyway.
