  1. I don't know anything about making music (I just listen to it) so if you don't take my comment seriously I understand. However I must say I really like the mix. I have been waiting for a Prime theme mix since I first heard the original song. Anyway that is my personal opinion because I tend to like songs that tend to stick to the original more. Although I would have to agree with avaris on the fact that the song needs structure. It sort of does end to arruptly for me. A more dramatic ending would help. Also consider making it longer. Other than that, I like it.
  2. Yeah it is free but agian, money is not the issue. Its the time I have on my hands. I have alot of school related work and activities I need to address. Although now that I think about it, It might actually be worth making time for because their 2 other games I would like participate in. I am actually pretty decent at Tekken 5 and Street Fighter III 3rd Strike. I won't win but it sure as hell would be fun to try.
  3. I wish I could go to EVO but I have school and I don't think I'll have the time. Distantance is not an issue here becuase I live in Texas and there is a qualifying tournamnet in Austin. Anyway, it doesn't matter, I know I would have lost early on. By the way Cat, I completely understand what your saying. It is like I am the only one that read there is NO RIGHT or NO WRONG way to play smash bros. I like to turn off items every now and then just to see who really is better between my brother and I. Items sometimes tend screw us both in the middle of a big match, which leaves things unsettled between us. Anyway, to really understand the whole item thing, you really need to play other fighting games competively.
  4. Does any one know where I can print out Double-elimination tournament bracket sheets for free. I am planing on holding a small tournament at school and I need some pre-made double elimination setups. I find my self confused and lost when I try to make a bracket any higher than 8 on my own. So can anyone help me please?
  5. If by some miracle chance they did make Street Fighter IV and it actually turned out good, I would like Akuma to be more distinct from Ryu and Ken. The return of his Alpha fighting stance would be nice plus some more unique special moves (he already has enough Super Arts). Ryu and Ken I don't mind to much being similar because they trained by the same person at the same time and plus they are rivals. I think the fact that Ryu focus more on power and the hadoken and Ken focus more on speed and the shoruken (forgive me if I spelled it wrong) is good enough to make them seperate and different characters. More back story for the rest of the characters would definately be a plus. I love games that have a lot of good back story.
  6. I should say Americans don't buy original console 2D games anymore. They'll buy classics collections but not new original games. And when I said Americans I of course don't mean all americans. I'm an american and still love playing 2D fighting games but the majority don't. That is just how it is. Anyway I don't think Capcom can pull off making Street Fighter 3D and still making it a good game. SNK couldn't do it and I don't think Capcom can do it. If Capcom of Japan still has the license then maybe there might be hope.
  7. I would be really great if Capcom released or at least announced Street Fighter IV but I honestlt don't see it happening. First Off if Capcom of American does currently hold the license to Street Fighter, I only see 2 possibilities. One they will only release another collection set or They will completely screw up on Street Fighter IV. I say this because America is just to mainstream interest wise to see a good 2D Street Fighter. If Capcom of America does decide to make Street Fighter IV the first thing they will do is make it 3D. Whether it is fully 3D or 3D with 2D gameplay. Lets face it, Americans don't buy 2D games anymore. Second they will make it much easier and simpler. Just look at Mortal Kombat and DOA. Those games suck compared to Tekken and Soul Calibur but they sell better. Real fighting game fans won't even touch those games because they have such sloppy and broken fighting systems, but your average person won't care. It is all abouit money these days and that is what Capcom will think of first. If Street Fighter IV does come out don't expect it to be a classic.
  8. No problem man. Honestly Muder Instinct is probably my most favorite video game remix ever. Great job on it once agian
  9. Actually I think that is why is would be good song to remix. Alot of old street fighter II, or any fighting game for that matter, songs are a little repetive. Remixing is would change it up alot and make it more enjoyable. A good example of this "Muder Insticnt" by eternal testament. It is a remix of Akuma's SSF II Tubro BGM by the way.
  10. I absoultely don't want to rush you at all but I wondering if you could give some estimation for when it would be done. Agian no rush, take as long as you want.
  11. Thanks alot. Looking forward to hearing it even if it is not the style I want.
  12. I am surprised that there is only one Lost Woods remix. I thought that would be song that has been remixed a lot. Any way I am requesting a Lost Woods Remix. An orchestrated sound mixed with some electronic or techno would sound nice. I least I think it would. Thanks to anyone who responds to my request
  13. Many of you posting seemed to have misinterperted what I was trying to ask. That is mostly my fault as I should have worded the question right. My real question is "How important are photo realistic Graphics really?" Of course graphics are important they are part of the game. Thats why they are called video games but is it important they be realistic? I ask this becuase that is what 2 of the current generation consoles and PCs seem to be focusing on. Usually when I talk about this issue good graphics are meant by how photorealistic they are rather than how artistic they are to the people I talk to it about. So agian sorry for not wording my question correctly. I hope this can clear some things up.
  14. That is kind of what Ubisoft is doing already.
  15. Man I wasn't expecting this many great comments. Well done by all of you guys. Some of the things I read were really good. Like many said, one possibility for future games now that they are looking photorealistic is to improve the graphics artistic wise. I love this idea. I have always perfered artistic graphics to realistic graphics. Thats why Wind Waker's graphics didn't bug me like it did oh so many people. Some one also said that the newer generation games look great that is until they start moving. I don't know if they were talking about the animation but I must say I totally agree. I haven't seen any PS3 or X-box 360 game that really wowed me animation wise. Some of the games seem to me to be under 30 fps. That is why I was happy to hear Metroid Prime 3 was going to be running in 60 fps. My Pc isn't all that powerful so I always lower the settings to get better framerates. Some one also said that games maybe becoming too realistic. I aslo agree with that because I love to play games for one major reason, To escape reality for a while. Thats why I don't like games like Madden or Gran Trismo. I prefer Blitz and Burnout. I kind of feel the same way about graphics. Maybe if the game is too realistic looking, to me it wouldn't feel like I am playing a game anymore. Agian good job on your comments.
  16. Sorry I wasn't aware that this has been posted before and I really did try looking for a topic like this before I started this one. And I completely agree that there should be a balance between the two. I guess my real question is how important are graphics now that they almost photorealistic. How much better can they really get before you can't tell the difference anymore.
  17. This is something I have been debating with a lot of people about including myself (ever since I got a Wii) and I honestly I want to here some varied opioions on this issue. In my opinion, graphics now-a-days don't seem too important for one major reason, How much better are they gonna actually get. X-box 360, PC, and PS3 games look really good now but lets say they get almost or even possibly photo realistic in the later years. What happens then? Let's say with the next gen consoles (X-box 540, PS4) that you would not be able to tell the difference between something real in front of you and the in-game graphics. What happens then? You can't look more realistic than real. In fact this study I read about IGN said that the human eye could not tell the difference between 1080p resoultion and anything higher than 1080p. Basically anything higher than 1080p would not really look better than 1080p to our eyes. That is why I like the Wii because I think it is taking the true next step in gaming, and that is changing the way we actually play games. I'm not saying anything bad about the other systems but honestly what are they going to do when they can't make there games look any better than what is already in front of you.
  18. Well I am guessing not many remixers, users, etc. here like or care much for Tekken music (heck there is only one Tekken remix here). Thats fine and all but maybe someone will just be willing to try and remix one the songs I requested. Just for a challenge or for the heck of it maybe. Agian I have the mp3s of the originals.
  19. Please forgive me but I tried to find the name of this song and I just could not find it anywhere. Any way I would like to request a remix for the Menu BGM in Metroid Prime Hunters. It is also track 02 in the music test just in case you don't know which song I am talking about. I really like this song but due to not having and not being able to find a Metroid Prime Hunters OST, I can't listen to it outside my DS. Plus the song sounds a little too midi like for me. So I would really like to see what a remixer can do with this song. I think it would sound great rearranged in electronica style music.
  20. Hello everyone, this is my first post. Anyway, I would like to request a remix for Jin Kazama's Stage BGM in Tekken 3. It doesn't matter if it is from the Arcade or Playstation OST because they are basically rearrangements of each other. I really like the song (both versions) and I would really like to see what an ocremixer can do with it. I would like it to sound like an electronica song and I would like the quitar in the song to stay somewhat intact as it is my favorite part of the song. Well if anyone is up to it please let me know. I don't know if I'm suppose to do this (I didn't see anything in the guide lines), but I would for anyone who does remix the song to send it to me via e-mail at dsx100@tekken.cc or rapmanx100@yahoo.com. And I pretty much like all the BGMs from Tekken 3, so if would like to remix another song from tekken 3 thats fine. Other BGMs I like include Heihachi's, Gon's, Lei's, and Eddy Gordo's such to name a few. And if you guys don't have or can't find the original track I have most of them so just ask me and I can e-mail it to you.
