Donkey Kong Country 2: Serious Monkey Business - History
LuketheXjesse replied to Geoffrey Taucer's topic in Projects
You have some role in it, don't you? -
Ragna and Noel for me. Fun chars :3 Ragna plays a lot like Sol Badguy from GG, and being a Sol junkie already, Ragna is fairly easy to get used to. Noel's style is sort of original; she relies on this move where you string attacks together, similar to Marth's foward B in SSB.
-
Used to own that cartridge. too.

Double Dragon II ! <3 (but absolutely positively not )Also G.I. Joe; remixing. Actually, that goes for DDII as well.Good thing Sixto remixed the best song from DDII. I remember when I first found it; I completely flipped out!
-
The game feels slower than Guilty Gear to me. The system and the way you perform special moves is mostly the same, but it doesn't really feel like a high speed fighting game like GG. Still, it definitely has potential and is really fun so far, so we'll see where this goes. Also Schwaltz, we have the special edition with the shiny soundtrack too :3

Luke has the PS3 version. Ring me up and I'll own you online (PSN is LuketheXjesse)

http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR01692/ but yeah there isn't any drama here

Maybe you simply dropped/added some frequencies too much? Maybe you simply just didn't EQ very well? Either of these could possibly be the case. Rolling off the highs from Bass instruments won't have a whole lot of effect, as Bass instruments usually only have any real sound on the low side of the spectrum. Really, I'm not sure if Bass instruments need that much EQing; I'm fairly certain they don't, but I'm not experienced enough to give a definite answer.
-
Each instrument should have its own FX chain of some sort in where you can EQ. EQing gives you the ability to raise and lower frequencies of individual instruments to prevent the mix from being muddy. I don't know what EQ you are using, but I assume it's one of FL Studio's default plugins. You use each of the numbered EQ bands to adjust the given sound frequency. Say the low frequencies of other instruments were clashing with the low frequencies of instruments meant to give a bass sound (Bass guitar, etc.), you would simply roll off the low end of the EQ, you would click the #1 band and drag it down to roll off the bass frequencies of the offending instruments. I record electric guitar, and the usual standard for that is to roll off lower frequencies of all intruments but the bass guitar and kick drum to give the mix a bit more clarity, and to usually boost the high frequencies of the rythem guitar. Play around with the EQ a bit; try to find what is muddying up your mix and either add or subtract to the frequency bands of the individual instruments. Hope this helps.

happy birthday may your album sales increase sevenfold

I've seen a lot of electronica people use FL or Reason, while instrumentalists use Sonar or Cubase. (oh wait you're avoiding Sonar) But that's simply based on my simple observations.

I have just the thing!
