  5. The majority of the soundtrack is really solid! Playing any of the Bramble levels is extremely relaxing just because of the sick ass music This has always been one of my favorite platformers ever since I was a tyke, as well as the other DKCs. This project is gonna be sick and I am incredibly excited for it. I wish I could have learned more about remixing earlier on, so I could have done something!
  6. Free wise, Kore Player's acoustic kit. Monies wise, Addictive Drums.
  7. i clicked on this thread because OMG METAL BIAS ya I like the direction this is going fo sho. Weak drums though, what kit are you using? Make those babies stand out more! Your actual drum beat kicks ass though. I shouldn't have to say that a bassline would make it better, but I suppose we shouldn't worry about it right now. At first, I didn't like how you took the melody and make it a higher note (I'm sure there's a proper term for that, but it just doesn't come to me) but then you came in with that awesome original melody afterwards, which I thoroughly enjoyed <3 That said, there needs to be a little more to fill in here, more background instruments, if you will. Maybe some synth-like sounds and such, and of course a bass would help. Just the average guitar, bass, and drum ain't enough, as you always need a few more background things to really kick your song into high gear and make it more enjoyable. Still, this is awesome so far. Finish this thing! Also, out of curiosity, what's your setup for recording guitar? I use a Line6 Pod UX2 external sound card and Pod Farm Amp sim.
  8. PUNCHFEST 5 is scheduled for SUNDAY JULY 12th at 12 noon PST!!!! This weeks theme is..... SUNSOFT vs. DATA EAST This weeks theme was selected by Wizwars. Any game they've developed or published counts, so let's start getting lists of popular games by these two great companies! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- To participate, install an IRC client (mIRC works well) and come into #punchfest on irc.esper.net! IF WE'RE GONNA PLAY THIS GAME, WE NEED SOME RULES - Theme will be announced two nights before the contest. This way you can pick your song. DON'T START WORKING ON IT. - You will have 6 hours to complete your song once we start. Do whatever you want once the thing starts, but when the 6 hour time limit is up you must have submitted something. - You can use anything you want musically. Live instruments, just MIDI, trackers. Just make sure you submit an MP3 file of whatever it is you did. - No minimum song length requirement. - Submission is not anonymous! VOTING - Voting will take place immediately after the contest. Participants get 3 votes, listeners get 2. Pick your top three songs and to your first place go 3 points, second place go 2 points, third place goes 1 point. Listeners get to pick top two songs, with 2 points going to first place, 1 point going to second. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- oh, and here's a nice, shiny list of games from both companies, jacked from Wikipedia by Wizwars. 9. G.I. Joe and .These need remixing! Maybe I'll be up to the task one of these days, but certainly not right now!
  10. Ganbare Goemon! Man, I love Hyadain <3
  11. I'm quite late to the party, I'll admit, but I found a used copy of this game and picked it up. So glad I did. Very challenging and very fun, and the soundtrack is insanely awesome; it's a shame they don't make games this challenging these days. Now I'm even more excited for this project
  12. Enjoyed this muchly The first three tracks were okay, but I enjoyed the Night versions more; I've been wanting to get into jazzy, chill stuff similar to that (though I've been too busy listening to Metal remixes and whatnot ) Nice work
  13. Bwahaha, I love this soundtrack >3 Some of the sounds in the intro sound kind of flat, and I find the bassline from 1:09-1:25 too loud. That's about it, though.
  14. I'm the only person who likes Ragna ;_; I tried Litchi today, fun character. I love her sexy ass walk <3
  15. Man oh man. Yet another glorious remix from my personal favorite remixer <3 Production here is rough, but I'm not picky with such things; top notch arrangement fills in for it anyway. I've never heard the source, so I can't tell how liberal or conservative this is, but Snap is usually conservative, and I'd rather it be true to the original song anyway. Nice work! ^____________________________^
  16. How is BrainCells' guitar tone THIS GOOD!? BrainCells has the best production out of all the metal remixers around, and that's REALLY saying something. One hell of a remix, and Luke highly recommends it
  17. THIS seriously cartoon network died to me when they removed toonami. they are a terrible terrible network.
  18. Maybe I should drive down to Raleigh and pay you a visit! Unless you're still in Pennsylvania or wherever the fuck :s Anyhoo, have an awesome birthday!
  19. ...I honestly thought those had equal or better production than Ninjascape! EDIT: How about http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR01211/ then?
  20. A. I've always thought up random musical ideas in my head at times, but was far too lazy to execute them (and I forget them after five minutes ). Then I start browsing OCR. I hear about Reaper and FruityLoops. Download them both. Too lazy to learn how to use them. I find a Reaper tutorial in the tutorials forum. I read it. Been learning more and more each day since. I hope to be a great Metal/Rock remixer soon also this
  21. http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR01345/ This is one of the very best remixes in the community, to boot.
