This song was among the first I listened to when I found this place. I took it everywhere with me on the 'net, and learned to associate this song with some of my favorite sites, a habit that carries to this day. Aside from happy memories six years ago, this song is still among some of the best that I've heard. Kudos, rave man.

OCR01056 - Ico "Save Me (OCR Edit)"
MechaFone replied to djpretzel's topic in ReMix Reviews & Comments
This mix makes it up there in my all-time faves. The pounding melody keeps me going when few other mixes do. I've been known to dance to this remix. At work. In plain sight. And I'd do it all over again, so long as this mix keeps playing. -
OCR01242 - Donkey Kong Country "Beneath the Surface"
MechaFone replied to djpretzel's topic in ReMix Reviews & Comments
This is one of those songs that I like to turn on when it's raining and listen to the storm outside. Hell, it's a song that I like to play whenever. It's my favorite live-instrumentation version of this song. Breathtaking. -
Morning Sun (new WIP) Sonic Adventure re-re-remix :D
MechaFone replied to AkumajoBelmont's topic in Post Your Game ReMixes!
I like it pretty well. It almost reminds me of the vocals in Dreams Of An Absolution from Sonic 2006 (go to hell, I liked the music in that game) -
Okami - Thank Goodness for Kokari ReMix
MechaFone replied to Robotaki's topic in Post Your Game ReMixes!
Um...wow. I like the sound of this, though my word won't be what you need to hear. I'm not really sure what song this is supposed to be covering. I know the Okami soundtrack pretty well and I don't recognize it. Still, great sound here, keep it coming! -
No party? NO WAY. Let's have a donation program for Coop's next birthday party. Anyone donating more than 50 dollars is invited to participate. Personal kegs will be provided for anyone donating more than 100 dollars. Let's get sauced!

NP, Coop. Hope your day was a good one. Happy Birthday to whoever gets it next, I just know there'll be like five more before the week is over = \

A new character? Other than the werewolf Sonic? Let's see...we've had an emo hedgehog, a female cat that sounds like a textbook barbie (sans MariovsSonic olympic games) and an Aussie Racoon that sails the seas.... ........... Really, what's next, a pair of lovestruck European Hippos?

Happy Birthday, NEEDS TO STOP (i.e. continue as is)
MechaFone replied to Equinox's topic in General Discussion
I guess it is getting a bit out of hand, isn't it? Not that I mind, personally. Kinda makes ya feel special, both getting a thread and making one. Still, I suppose in the interest of all involved, it would be best to make a single thread and bump it come time for birthdays. And to think, I coulda had my own thread in a month. -
Holy crap! You nice birthday guys are popping up like rabbits! Can't wait till May! HAPPY F*$#ING BIRTHDAY!
-
On the day the world changed, Christian Pacaud had an awesome birthday!

I have no idea if this is really your birthday, I just saw your sig and I thought 'Oh! It's Coop's Birthday!' So I made this thread. Anyway, if it isn't, I'll feel like an ass, so please please be a year older today. So, y'know... Nice Birthday, and all that

OCR01167 - Streets of Rage "Drop and Roll"
MechaFone replied to djpretzel's topic in ReMix Reviews & Comments
Holy. Cheese. On. Rye. The funk that comes in after the electro voice announces 'Stage. One.' is fantastic. I have loved this song since it came out, it tops out among my top ten songs. tefnec really nailed it on this song. I love the percussion, the beat, and..and...I just can't stress how incredible I find this song to be. Please download and groove. -
OCR00729 - Streets of Rage "Going Up"
MechaFone replied to Disco Dan's topic in ReMix Reviews & Comments
While I prefer the source material, I've always had a soft spot for this remix. It covers my fave song from the SOR1 soundtrack, and the electro sounds make this a remix worth listening to. -
OCR00345 - Streets of Rage 2 "Da Streets"
MechaFone replied to Saunders's topic in ReMix Reviews & Comments
The intro. Integral in every game. It was handled perfectly here, so perfect in fact, that when I made my SOR2 cd, I added this next to the original intro song, back to back. A perfect rendition of said intro. Don't miss this. -
OCR00911 - Streets of Rage 2 "Go Back"
MechaFone replied to djpretzel's topic in ReMix Reviews & Comments
All right! First stage music! I love the source material, and I am loving this song. Just makes me wanna get up and dance. I love the percussion, and I'm really digging the quality in sound. Definitely up there with some of my favorites. -
OCR00664 - Streets of Rage 2 "SID of Rage"
MechaFone replied to orkybash's topic in ReMix Reviews & Comments
Well this is interesting. Don't think I've heard this one. I like the beat that starts near the beginning. The chip-sound reminds me of ancient Nintendo gone by. A good, solid mix that I'll be adding to my collection -
OCR00337 - Sonic the Hedgehog 2 "Bluest Sky"
MechaFone replied to Saunders's topic in ReMix Reviews & Comments
Short and sweet. At just two minutes six seconds, this is one of the songs that really got me into OCR. It was one of my favorite songs from Sonic 2 (which was my first console after the original NES) so I grew up a bit on Sonic. A lot of my love of this song is nostalgia, and the rest is pure, smooth skill, especially in that guitar solo. This mix will bring back memories for any oldschool Sonic fan, and for me at least, it does not disappoint. -
OCR00914 - Red Alarm "Red Dimension"
MechaFone replied to djpretzel's topic in ReMix Reviews & Comments
I think I was one of the few that dared to look into the scope of that infernal machine. Kinda screwed with my vision afterwards @_@ Anyway, I don't remember much of the music, and I don't really need to. McVaffe got this song down so well you can just imagine yourself on a red-wire jet, shooting down the enemy in the thin-red-line world that McVaffe painted so well. This one's a classic, hyped up shooter song, don't miss it!
