1. It's this simple: If you like hip-hop: You'll love this. If you don't: Ya probably won't. Bottom line, I'm not a fan of zyko on guitar, but I'm fuckin' sold on any future hip-hop he does. This is not to be missed.
2. This is, hands down, my favourite SGX ReMix. It's not good; it's fucking BRILLIANT.
3. Something's wrong with the MP3 file. It's only 1:44 long.
4. WHOA. Zeratulo's posting. I check sarbatka regularly for new music. la chatte formidable is one of my favourite songs ever, easily. Hope to hear more of your great music soon!
5. Wow. This is RIGHT OUT of Trigun. One of my favs, by far. Excellent work here, pretz. Good luck to ya.
6. Well, the arrangement is top notch. And there are a lot of interesting ideas... but I just can't get into this mix. It sounds so incredibly fake. And it's a shame, since it's obvious Mr. Sisk has an ear for music and arranging. I would have loved this mix if the entire thing had a sound/soundfont overhall. Disappointing, yet promising.
7. Next time, please try reading the FAQ on the FIRST PAGE of this thread.
8. I've just come to the sudden realization that this is my favourite Mazedude track. Yup.
9. Colour me unimpressed. Those drums are pretty brutal... Sounds to much like a WiP, imho...
10. Since this is off of a school server, you'll probably be able to link a jpg. The txt trick is mostly for Geocities and Angelfire. Also, don't forget to add the http:// before the www.
11. Okay. Now, is the file itself renamed?'Cause if it's still a JPG, and you're just renaming the code TXT, it's not going to work. The file itself has to be a TXT file. In your Uploaded files folder in you geocities account, rename the file to a txt and see if that works.
12. Right click and image, select "Properties". Magic!
13. And it's about time!!!!Colour me happy. More Sega = closer to world peace. It's a proven fact.
14. WOW. The Game Gear FINALLY gets some representation. This mix makes me happy for that alone. Plus, it helps that the tune kicks ass. Thanks Sadorf! I'm smiling from ear to ear!
15. Okay. I just beat the game right now, to double check, and checked a few of the cinemas as well. Considering the Hymm of the Faith is mostly a Gregorian chant, anything added to it would be to embelish on the theme of the chant. BUT, that being said, yes this tune has a lot of improvisation, but it's definitely a ReMix of the Hymm itself. At least to my ear. You can hear the MUSIC, not the chanting, going with the beat of the chant. The rock guitar playing those hard riff over and over again is pretty much just like the game... except it's a rock guitar. It's also similar to the beat and rhyme used in the scene where Yuna does the Dance in Kilika. It's ALSO similar to the rock remix of the tune in the game itself when you fight Yu Yevon. The beat is also similar to the scene in the ending when Yuna's doing the dance on top of the airship and the aeons are disappearing. Now, disregarding all that, am I the only one that's noticing the solo guitar used in this piece often plays alongside the Hymm itself? To the beat of the Hymm? So, we've got the Hymm in the piece, the riff guitar and drums that sound like it's part of the piece, the piano which goes along with the beat and the solo guitar... Am I missing something here?
16. PLEASE tell me you're joking. Aren't you one of the Judges?
17. I like this mix, but I'm glad I got a hold of the "Clean" version a while back. I must say, I like this without the guitar much better. Still a very nice ReMix. Plus, I'm a sucker for the FFX soundtrack, so this makes me happy.
18. I dig it. It's different, yet, quality. Change is good. This is just asinine.
19. I am proud to say that I feel this was done in large part to a comedic straight man/funny man flood between Lord Gerald and myself. This song rules for that reason and the fact that that's actually a Pepsi bottle being used in the tune (if I remember correctly! )
20. Excellent from beginning to end. And the fact that it's Sega always makes me happy. SGX and ambient go hand in hand, and this track delievers. A must download.
21. http://remix.overclocked.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=455607#455607 Anwab => That's a link to a THREAD on the OCR forums. Where's the URL to you PIC?
22. Thanks, glad you liked it. There's a psychological term for that... and dammit, I can't remember it. I remember going over this in my cognitive psychology class. What it essentially boiled down to is that anything can become bearable to listen to when you hear it enough times.I'll get back to you if I find it... I do have a question for analoq, though. Why is it encoded at less than a 128 kbps? It hurts the mix when I try to burn it to CD...
23. Yes. God forbid anyone has an opinion different from "The Great Mustin". Hey, I thought flaming was looked down upon in the ReViews section. Ironically, this coming from the guy who made a HUGE stink when someone suggested a "ReName the ReMixes" game, stating that the title of the ReMixes are personal and shouldn't come under scrutiny (more or less). Hmm...
