  1. New update is out! Comes with three new objects. Bumper: Shake the Grinder (those sawblades) to get a donut that you bounce off all sides of. P-Switch Door: Shake the normal doors to get blue ones that only appear when a P-Switch is active. P-Switches have been redesigned to be blue in all themes, btw. Fire Koopa Clown Car: Shake the normal Koopa Clown Car to get one with a fiery paint job. Hit Y to shoot a fireball from the car's mouth, hold Y and release for a larger fireball that does more damage and can break most walls. Already made a shmuppy stage using the last one. Apparently that's what it was designed for. Oh, and that Bookmark site is now up. Pretty nice, you can even directly share stages or your profiles. Also found a pretty slick Metroid-themed stage using it. Never would've found it otherwise haha
  2. I seem to remember a line in the game where they discuss how the Planet will decide if humanity survives or dies or something like that. Presumably in the 500 years between the Planet decides humanity needs to be wiped out and does so.
  3. He's already referring to the epilogue as what he meant by when everyone's dead. He says that the true happy ending is when all humans are dead, and that's during the epilogue that's 500 years later. Note at the beginning he was saying he was going to fill in that 497 years with stories, which definitely means people survived the Meteor impact as originally envisioned. He's admitting the actual END is 500 years later, when everyone's dead, but not any time before. Also note his previous answer in the very same interview. Advent Children is the direct sequel to it. People are alive in it. Therefore, people survived the immediate impact. And remember, Advent Children opens with the very same epilogue the original game ends with, and then it says 497 years earlier.
  4. To be fair, Corrin isn't exactly a swordfighter. His moveset itself seems rather unique. That said, I'm rather disappointed that they chose him, though I get why. More irritated that outside of a trophy and a song (that was a carryover from Brawl), Isaac had NO representation in this game whereas at least he was an Assist Trophy in Brawl. And happy about Bayonetta, but again, why not Isaac?
  5. Well yeah, but he's saying that in regards to 500 years after Meteor hits. People survived the immediate incident, but over the next 500 years they began to die out.
  6. FFXV isn't an episodic game though. Episode Duscae was more of a demo to let folks get the taste of the game and also to give feedback to the devs so they can tweak it and make it as good as possible.
  7. I don't see where everyone died nor have I ever heard of Kitase saying the ending was like that. I mean yeah, the lifestream saved everyone, and there was some damage, but I fail to see how everyone died at the end of the original. Seems to me like they survived lol I mean there's that scene with Red XIII and his kids looking at the ruins of Midgar, but that's always been 500 years later. Also while I couldn't find Kitase saying that, I did find him saying that when he was given the choice to revisit a past game, he chose VII specifically because the ending could be expanded upon and explained. Which is kinda the opposite of him saying everyone died because he specifically made it so not everyone died.
  8. It's always covered part of the search box, but it is annoying trying to click your menu and you get the mascot link as well. I have my view at 90% which mostly fixes the issue, but some mascots still overlap even then.
  9. Actually the Planet has since been officially named Gaia.
  10. Yeah I pointed out the mascot/menu overlap earlier but it must've been passed over lol When I go to 90% zoom it works out nicely, but at 100% zoom they overlap.
  11. The Mascots partially obscure the user menu in the upper-right corner. Of course, the level of obscurity depends on how big the top of the image is. Characters who just have their hands up there like Spidey don't obscure it too much but I can see it being a bit annoying. It looks slick though!
  12. It does bug me that if a monster is huge, it can wipe you out even if you're 10 levels above it. I mean yeah, might be safer to fight those monsters in a Skell, but if that affinity mission is the one I think it is, you need it to do Chapter 6 and you can't get your Skell until after Chapter 6. So you're forced to fight a monster designed to be easier with a Skell at a point when you won't have your Skell. Also I finished Chapter 6 last night. Died a few times to the boss and had to lower the difficulty, but at least that does it for that battle only.
  13. My fiance wants to go for the Mastermind line lol
  14. I went the Commando route and soon realized that was Elma's route. I'd use Sliding Slinger, I'd hear her say SLIDING SLINGER, I'd use Shadowstrike, she'd call out the same attack on her end lol. But yeah, after I master Full Metal Jaguar (Rank 5 Winged Viper currently) I think I'll take the route up to Duelist.
  15. I'm glad to have gotten Audio Engineering out, and in the process kicked off the OCRI releases. That was fun. Happy birthday, OCR!
  16. I'm currently wearing cat ears, the bargain jacket, and bargain jeans as my glamour.
  17. Damn I don't get to fly right away. Did not know that. There's so many data probe points that I can only access by flight, dammit. WHY MUST YOU MAKE ME WAIT GAME?!?
  18. I just got to Noctilum (in Chapter 4, grinding to deal with those battles) and I had to jump off a cliff near Whale's Nostril to avoid those damn plants. And then the robot in that lake woke up and killed me lol
  19. I saw people worried about no overworld or airship and I realized something. They said they're not cutting content. Ultima Weapon is content. You chase down Ultima Weapon in the airship and he stops above locations on the overworld, like Fort Condor and stuff, before stopping over the Ancient Forest. I don't think they'll change it THAT much, honestly. Which is why I'm rather confident we'll still have an overworld. Also Nario pointed out that FF4 The After Years was episodic and it had an overworld. And Type-0 HD had an overworld. What I'm trying to say is I don't think we need to worry about lack of an overworld lol
  20. obviously there's only going to be three episodes Episode 1 will lead up to Aeris's death Episode 2 will end just before they head into the crater Episode 3 will be the final dungeon
  21. Yoichi Wada said that, and he hasn't been with Squeenix for a several months now (and stepped down as president in 2013) so that's what happened to it. The guy who said it isn't with the company anymore lol
  22. The only weapons in the game are Ruby (desert) and Emerald (underwater). Diamond Weapon is the story-based one that gets wrecked by the Sister Ray firing from Midgar and normal Weapon that is wrecked just outside Junon. And, of course, Ultima Weapon that flies around and is ultimately defeated outside Cosmo Canyon, creating access to the Ancient Forest and the goodies within such as the Supershot ST for Vincent, Apocalypse for Cloud, and the Typhon summon materia, among others.
