  1. Why would you BUY guitar samples to synthesize with them? 0_o
  2. You do realize that makes absolutely no sense, right?
  3. I feel like getting Plucked Grand Piano (that thing sounds SICK) but it's a bit pricey and I'm saving up for something else right now.
  4. This thread is SonicThHedgog telling the world proudly that he's gonna start using hardware amps.
  5. You made a whole thread to tell the public that?
  6. Italian Sausage AND Extra Sauceage?
  7. Pretty sure an OCR T-Shirt will slide.
  8. Well which is it Core 2 Duo or Core 2 Quad? Also, if amp sims are a problem for you on a Core 2 anything you're doing it wrong.
  9. The second half of the forum name is "collaborate".
  10. What processor do you have?
  11. The judges have higher standards than just genre, dude. Genre isn't a standard at all, the judges aren't genre-biased despite what some non OCReMixers (who got, uh, REJECTED) will tell you.
  12. I WANNA G*shot* ...never mind. See y'all at MAG XIII!
  13. Point taken, but I've heard "SonicThHedgog's" (namewut) music and I can't imagine that stuff taking any more than 20-30% on my computer. I've got an i7-2600 as well (built a new music and gaming machine a month ago because my synths were just too much and my games couldn't run at lowest settings), so strip away two hyperthreaded cores from mine and take away some L3 Cache and you get an i3, I'm pretty sure that translates to maybe 60-70% when you take away half the processor, but I could be wrong. Unless he's using some ridiculous patches, even so, FREEZING.
  14. lern 2 i7 nub or not even. An i3 would get you far, you could get a decent $450 i3 sandy bridge music making machine and then kiss your CPU problems good bye. :/
  15. I don't, the point was that you always post as if you're finishing up a message as you're getting off a train and into human traffic. It's annoying because it's HARD TO UNDERSTAND YOU.
  16. You really need to start posting with some decency (by that I mean take some spelling and grammar classes). I don't believe you're on your phone all the time. Why? You missed ONE SINGLE FREAKIN LETTER that changed your post from being serious to just contradicting yourself. Take a look: I'm pretty sure you didn't mean to say that. Would also help if you put a noun with that adjective. It's one thing to never use the shift key and then hit caps lock when you sign your PM's but it's another to just think the forums can decipher meaning out of your sentences when you post like you learned how to speak English 2 hours ago.
  17. Not all, but a lot of the instrument articulations sound fake. Especially when you have those fast staccato type sections, the note attacks are all the same. I suppose humanization is my only complaint here. Nice reorchestration.
  18. I hardly call this "hard rock" but whatever. Some weird key change thing going on at :02, might wanna check that. There's three instruments. The one synth, the guitar, and the drums. Because of this your soundscape sounds really dry and empty. When you get into the main melody the rhythm guitar doesn't match the main melody (in terms of chords, the melody is going places and the guitar isn't supporting it, so it feels really bland). There's not a lot of low mids in your instruments, there's no instrument for a bassline and there's too little reverb. Everything sounds really dry, and there's nothing playing definitive chords either. If your guitar is supposed to be doing that, then you need to make that guitar tone BIGGER and PHATTER. EDIT: I can just barely hear the bassline. Make it more, you know, THERE. I'm on bass emphasis headphones. Your entire mix is REALLY LACKING low mids. Another thing, try adding some delay echo to your synth lead.
  19. I'm not saying this guy's track is bad but the quality of this track is not nearly as good as bLiNd's JENOVA mix. Both by production and the filling of the sonic space.
  20. I'll look into this in the future then. I don't agree that amp sims are terrible (you can get great tones with any of them) but I am willing to believe hardware amps are better. I only use Guitar Rig 4 Pro because I got it with a free $200 product voucher. xD How are Line 6's amps, more specifically the "Spider IV"?
