  1. YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY. I win. I don't have to use Orchestral Soundfonts anymoooooooore!!!!
  2. Why are you guys adding August remixes when there are still remixes from July and back?
  3. Listening to a good portion of the remixes on this site would give the answer to the last question. And yes, Soundfonts are your friend. Well, the kind of friend that has no other friends and follows you around and you just don't want him around. http://soundfonts.darkesword.com my bro has some cool soundfonts here... You can also try www.native-instruments.com, they have some cool non-synth samples. Samples is NOT the way to go. There's more to music than fancy samples... actually I don't think fancy samples will teach you ANYTHING about music. Unless you already learned music theory (formal or informal) I don't suggest trying to remix with the thought that you'll be great if you have good samples... I have terrible samples, but I know some stuff about music theory so I can make them sound good. AND BTW, you can't save any of your work if you have a demo version...
  4. Wait so Garageband can load stuff like EWQL and KORE player? Wow at the Apple store Garageband looked so confusing to use. I couldn't find a piano roll to make my own melody. I wanted to make one but sadly I had to leave and couldn't explore much. xD
  5. I think his forum is set up so that you have to go through the pages to get the most recent posts.
  6. The Egg Galaxy or whatever (the first one) was the kind you're talking about, right?
  7. Do you want me to clone myself twice? Oh... wait... then we'd have three people with the same exact style. And we'd all have to share my laptop. NEVER MIND. (P.S. Yes, I'm just bumping the thread.)
  8. Do it yourself. Go to your first post, edit, and click go advanced. Change the title. And like I said before... barely even covers.
  9. I'm not even sure if you can compose anything in Garageband. I think it's only for recording things and putting them together. Also, to me, the overall interface is pretty weird. I don't make chiptune style music, so I can't really suggest anything, but I can help you by saying Garageband should be the last thing you'd want to use.
  10. *cough* 242. 120 with mario. the whole thing over again with Luigi. then the final two stars after you get 240 appear in Mushroom Kingdom in the alternate galaxy.
  11. Not final. AT ALL. Sorry if I sound harsh, but there's a major thing lacking from this mix, and that's the low end. There's almost nothing from the low end. Even that bassline is snuggled up there with the rest of everything. Use. More. Bass. xD In your kick drum and in your bass synth/thing.
  12. It seems like all you did was take the MIDI and channeled them through higher quality samples (like Nekofrog said before... and I know you didn't, but that's what it sounds like)... It sounds nice, but it also doesn't sound THAT different. I listened to anxious heart... the only difference I could tell was that the instruments were a bit higher quality than in the game. So what if you composed by ear? You didn't compose anything, you wrote down exactly what you heard. Nice work, but it doesn't sound like you much effort into them. I also noticed how you're ignoring everyone who says that even though you're using a program you can still make it sound real... ...it's not an excuse, really. You can never use "I use a program" as an excuse. Just takes some effort. A good deal of the people on this site use programs and can create realistic instruments (I think EVERYONE on this site does), and they're probably using the samples you're using. If you're going for a COVER, I would suggest learning the secrets of how to create realistic instruments out of what you have. Don't use "my instruments are not high enough quality" as an excuse either, because I work with soundfonts (which are the lowest quality sounds I've ever heard of) and I can make them sound realistic.
  13. The shape is overall different, too. Also, this was created on a computer as a joke for a "leak" of the PSP Go.
  14. The problem with that is that the edges of the console are so pixel-y it's just screaming "done on a computer." Anyways, Nintendo Wii2.
  15. Calm down. Be mindful of how Rozovian will feel when he sees his posted remix used as a medium for bashing OCR. Anyways, I love this remix. I like the soundscape, too. The use of source is subtle, but it's still dominant. xD
  16. Other games to get: New Super Mario Bros. Wii Super Paper Mario Super Mario Strikerz As long as you have those, you should be busy for the next year or so... The hate is because the majority of Wii games are just sets of repeated carnival minigames with different names and brands slapped onto the cases. :/
  17. What part of "not open recruitment" do you not understand? Baaah.... that's okay, I've heard your music before, so you're on. Plus, you're not claiming a track so you don't have to wait for open recruitment. Is that the same for you, Cuda?
  18. I'll definitely talk to you again when open recruitment starts. Guys can we get back on topic? Prophet, go... build a computer or something. xD
  19. Thanks. and question. Why doesn't the config work? I put it in the config folder and I did the launch options. :/
