Just out of curiosity, why do some of you want to restart?Some portions of our map have been deleted so that we may explore and generate the new stuff. We can enjoy the new stuff without destroying the old.

Yeah, I'm even more interested in this game now. It's one of the reasons we got a PS3 last year.

I wanted to preorder one, but the employees at our Gamestop had no idea what we were talking about. Even still, they said we could unofficially preorder one and came up with the magical number of $50 to put down on the preorder. We decided not to for now. Maybe later, when they can give us some sort of guarantee.

Just out of curiosity, how many donations on average did you receive when the economy was good? It would be really interesting (albeit sad) to see how things have progress. Best of wishes to everyone and OCR, hopefully things will turn around and get better for everyone in the world in 2011. These days feel too grim.

Let me just remind everyone, if you are a donator, you simply need ask an admin for an item and you will most likely be given it. If you are a non-donator, there is a community chest in the spawn area that is open for everyone to "take what they need". I will often times put my extra stuff in those chests and as I recall, last time I put a couple of diamond Pickaxes in there. In the end there is no reason to steal from others as there are so many people here that will help you out. As a final note, heaven help you if you are a non-donator and are caught stealing

Do you have any specifics Abadoss? Any aprox. time period between when you knew you had the diamonds to when you noticed they were gone? Is there anything you may have done that may have caused a glitch? There are quite a few bugs that can cause items to be eaten, not to mention we just switched to Beta.

Oh, it was quite an ending!

Wait, I just got to see the ending to Metal Gear Solid 4 so right now all of this seems pointless. Right now I'm going to bask in that wonderful high and then tomorrow, maybe I will play a game where I build things out of cubes, a game which was made by a little, balding man in Sweden.

No I'm not kidding. I can't take in what The Author says because he is so aggressive about it and that is what stuck out to me the most about his posts. If he had been civil about it, I could have digested what he said, but instead all he has done is make everyone all defensive. You can't get any conversation flowing forward when you do things like that because now everything will just go in a circle argument. In the end, everyone will just end up tired and frustrated. If he feels the game is fine as it is GOOD, I accept that, but I will have my opinion on the matter and he certainly doesn't have to accept it. Now let's move on with our lives and just accept that people feel differently about things. We can either move this conversation forward or do a circle bicker jerk and get no where.

I think we found the President of the Notch fan club. The Author, just go punch some walls and come back when you can be civil. I will refrain from saying anymore. Anyways, people are just suggesting the game stay in Alpha for a little longer, there's no need to go ape about it. No one is denying you your enjoyment of vanilla Minecraft. What does anyone have to lose anyways? We all purchased the client in alpha and we all get the perks of that, so why is it so horrible that some people feel it should be in alpha a bit longer? What exactly does this deprive any of you of?

I am in total agreement. Also bare in mind that much of what actually works on the multiplayer side is made possible by fan mods.

To be fair, it is the OCR minecraft server, being a part of the community is somewhat of a prerequisite to getting on the whitelist.

Is it just me, or have some of the songs changed a bit? I swear some of the songs sound different then they did about a week ago.

I believe Crowbar already looked into that map viewer, unfortunately I believe the issue was that our web host doesn't provide Python. We will need to do something though, the map is just getting too big it to be viewed properly and easily. As for user permissions, I think there was a "guest" group and I think we can do something like disallow the use of TNT, Lighters, ect. I think. As it is right now, we can view the actions of every user, so if anything nefarious happens we can pin-point the origin. Not to point the finger at Ferret, who didn't know that forest fires will not go out on their own in time. Do you also have the IRC address posted in the first post? I couldn't seem to find it, but then again I have a tendency to not see things right in front of my face.
