  1. https://zazmusic.bandcamp.com/track/the-flying-piranha Why a flying Piranha? Maybe it's a reference to the old movie. Or childhood, or something.
  2. Would be fun to see live. Hope you can become arranger for an EWI acapella ensemble someday~!
  3. one of my future dreams is to get some kind of mario disco thing going on this site, and this is a slightly more wholehearted attempt than my last version, although it might be more new wave or possible salsoul than proper disco but ehhhh fuckit https://zazmusic.bandcamp.com/track/wip-rainbow-jacket
  4. Thanks, you're spot on and I'm working on a new version as we speak
  5. Just a bunch of ideas that might turn into something real someday. watch this space I guess, maybe I'll have it done in 3 years https://zazmusic.bandcamp.com/track/wip-some-rain
  6. http://zazmusic.bandcamp.com/track/wip-curiouser-and-curiouser Even the stuff here isn't done, and I might add more later. If I decide to keep going with this game, one of the things I'd like to do is give each major section a big fat soli in rbrty ytsvk, kinda like what I did with the low brass in this one, but even moreso. I dunno.
  7. let's get the trip hop revival started guys I know we can do this
  8. I'm not sure about the piano playing... remarkably consistent dynamics and attack and sustain time, and I'm not sure I like it! 2:58 is driving me particularly insane, I'm not sure if it's the sample library or the reverb of it it's sequenced or whatever, but it sounds wrong, like, those accompanying 8th notes should not all be the same dynamic and rhythmic level and they shouldn't be so prominent because they're not the main focus right, the main focus is what's underneath? If you want to focus in on it even then I would say give them some shape, give them an arc, give each repeated note or phrase a different personality, that's my advice. I'm a shitty pianist though so don't listen to me. The arrangement seems fine though. A little meandering, a little schmaltzy, but I'm sure if I knew the context of the game I'd get the reason it's that way - it feels like that kinda thing, like it's not made to just be looked at out of context. I hope I get a chance to play the game and listen to it again.
  9. Love the intro, and the toms and the orchestral hits and honestly I wish it just continued as like a m83 style faux-80s indie thing like the intro (like I WANT MORE SYNTH TOMS LIKE A LOT MORE) but that's probably a fault in my own character, everything else sounds very competent. Not familiar with the game so no nostalgia and or invention points to consider here
  10. OMG EWI I want one All I can say is nice job on the live performance bit, but I can't help feel the lack of percussion, or some kind of harsher sound driving the energy. Instead you have a hyped up piece in nature matched with really relaxed low attack ewi sounds and it's kinda cool especially for the leads, but maybe a little empty and mushy on the whole? I guess that would be my take. Fun stuff though
  11. I can't help you with anything but I really like the opening especially but the whole vibe. Only feedback I would give is that I don't feel like the sound of the lead lives up to the other great sounds you come up with. This was a tune I was considering working on myself sometime but now I feel like I don't have to, nice job
  12. timeless classic and now I feel old for having listened to this when i was a kid. I wonder how old djp feels. must be like really really
  13. I'm gonna get all the posts on this page too huh? that's ok, NO SHAME
  14. Call this a first draft: http://zazmusic.bandcamp.com/track/wip-gerudo-interludo mixed on very bad headphones so it will probably change in that respect if not also arrangement yes the name is a very ungraceful reference to this: http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR00368 one of the first three mixes I ever listened to, but that was like over a decade ago. djp talking about the grace and good fortune he had not to call it gerudo interludo always stuck with me though, and, well, here we are, in a less serious and more serious time, I think it's safe to say, like, whatever man
  15. lol fabulous video, very nice playing, good tone, pretty arrangement, hope it goes viral and you get the big bucks especially for 2:15 when it goes all rawk. there's really nothing I love more than a good 80s rock ballad, nice job.
  16. shadow temple done: http://zazmusic.bandcamp.com/track/shadows-lie-shadow-temple gerudo coming soon, Ipromise
  17. spirit temple, 'done'! http://zazmusic.bandcamp.com/track/snake-eyes-spirit-temple
  18. I just want to point out for people who like this kind of thing that I'm doing the whole OoT soundtrack now, albeit in a different style http://zazmusic.bandcamp.com/album/seven-years-a-work-in-progress
  19. Thanks, I figured I'd submit it so we will see for ourselves if it's too conservative soon enough!
  20. Lakeside laboratory/potions shop now in its "final" form: http://zazmusic.bandcamp.com/track/cosmo-s-laboratory-lakeside-laboratory-potions-shop
  21. Some Grant Kirkhope love for you, somewhat out of my comfort zone: http://zazmusic.bandcamp.com/track/killing-hope
  22. Don't know if I'm finally done with Kakariko now, but I at least know I will never be reharmonizing that tune ever again http://zazmusic.bandcamp.com/track/busby-berkeley-village-kakariko-adult
  23. Along with a much updated Epona's song kinda in the style of Neil Young but uhh instrumental and without guitars http://zazmusic.bandcamp.com/album/seven-years-a-work-in-progress actually not what it sounds like at all, but that was the original concept
