Contact Info -ReMixer Name: TheoConfidor -Real Name: Silas Reinagel -E-mail: slr_handbell@comcast.net -Website: http://www.theoconfidor.com -Userid: n/a Remix Info -Game: King's Quest 6 -Song: The Bookworm/Dangling Participle -Link to OST: http://www.queststudios.com/quest/kq6cd/kq6cd.html Comments: I remixed this tune for the April DoD competition. The theme was American Adventure games and while listening to some OSTs this tune really struck me as a great source tune. Also, I really purchased a new VST soft synth and was dying to make something with it. Since the focus of DoD is live instrument playing, I played the synth for basically everything. The only programmed part is the drums/percussion track. It tied for 4th place out of 12 entries. This is the first remix that I really feel very confident about, as far as quality and a solid arrangement and so I wanted to share it with all of you peeps here at OC Remix. Does it make that grade? That's for you to decide. The file:

ReMixer name: Lontas Email address: rontasu@gmail.com Web site: http://lontas.no-ip.org/ Game ReMixed: Final Fantasy 4 Song ReMixed: The Lunarians Comments: Having been a fan of the site for a good four years, I figured it's high time I get off my butt and submit something. This is a ReMix of one of my all-time favorite works of Nobuo Uematsu, The Lunarians from FF4. So simple, yet so harmonically interesting. This ReMix is more conservative than the usual for this site, as my aim was to enhance the composition rather than re-create it. I'm a big fan of pedal tones (i.e. a low tone that sounds continuously throughout a piece) and therefore the focus of this ReMix is the banging pedal tone which is also so pervasive in the original. I used some subtle production tricks in order to (hopefully) make the banging pedal tone sound more ominous than it really is. ----------------------------- My Site: http://lontas.no-ip.org/

Artist: Ben Shroomin email: ben@walkingeye.com website: www.betweenplanets.com Game: Final Fantasy IV Song: Main Theme of Final Fantasy IV (with a couple measures of Prelude for intro) Comments: I made this song with good old fashioned real instruments: An electric bass, an acoustic guitar, a keyboard, and 3 drums. I built the drum loops from a couple different sounds from each drum. In the end I wound up with 28 different tracks that overloaded my processor when I edited the song. The keyboard was an old over-sized organ-like creature I bought at Goodwill for $70 - it had no midi output, only instrument outputs. When I first started, with just the main bass line and one guitar, it opened with the main theme, then went into fight song 1, then the victory theme, then back to a long rock-out session with the main theme. I might go back to it one day, but the drum loop was really hard to make for the 2 minute version, so I haven't gotten around to attempting it for the 9 minute version. The inspiration came simply from listening to songs on this site combined with many long weekends playing Final Fantasy 4 (then called 2) when it first was released in America. My original intention was a sort of simulation of playing the early stages of the game - you walk around a few minutes, then suddenly get into a random fight, then go back to the game. The thing I hated most about the random fights in the game was that it interrupted the main theme. Thank you for your consideration, and for the wonderful collection of video game remixes already on the site. -Ben

this is my and carbo's track for the Tales of Phantasia/Symphonia project, Summoning of Spirits. we decided to submit in advance so it can be judged soon(er). and hopefully be submitted (if it gets acceepted) the day the project is released. not before that though, of course. Remixers: LuIzA, CarboHydroM Real Names: Luiza Carvalho, Christophe Blondel userid: 10041, ? Title: Strike of the Devil's Axes Game: Tales of Symphonia Platform: Gamecube Year: 2003 now for a who did what: me (LuIzA) - left lead guitar, right rhythm guitar, wah guitar, phased guitar(bridge), bass. mixing/mastering. Carbo - right lead guitar, left rhythm guitar, ambient guitar(bridge), drum sequencing. we changed lead guitar places on the bridge, btw, there's a change up on how(ambient/phased) rhythm guitars worked there, so just to add a little more taste hehe. this song was amazingly fun to do, the arrangement came out nice and varied, both fitting our styles very well. we're both punk rock fans, so I figured we just had to work together for this song hehe.(interestingly too, it's the second time he's worked with a brazilian in a remix.. only with a girl, this time)

Remixer name: 'The' Ace Real name: Daniel Hodgkinson email address: ace131484@hotmail.com Game: Super Mario 64 song remixed: Piranha Plant Lullaby (its the only song on the page) This is a solo piano arrangment of the Piranha Plant Lullaby from Super Mario 64, you know, the song that plays when you walk (not run) next to a sleeping piranha plant. The original was pretty simple, mostly just chords played on what sounded to me like a celesta. Thats why I fell in love with the song, the harmonic progression is beautiful. Over this past summer I learned how to play the song on the piano, then just started re-arranging it, until it grew into what it is now. I've actually played this live in a concert. One person actually recognised it.

This is a ReMix of the Metroid Theme Song. The beat is kinda like Busta Rhymes meets C64. The beginning of the song is done asymmetrically, and I tried to do my own thing with the original while keeping it recognizable. enjoy! windexwindex -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- New Yahoo! Email sub file Super Mario Land Walking on Water OC ReMix.mp3 This is a remix of Muda Kingdom from Super Mario Land on the GameBoy. I haven't worked on this one for almost a year. I deleted the wrong version of its project file when I was cleaning house a while back, so I haven't been able to make any changes to the mix. All I was able to do was remaster my last work-in-progress mp3. I'm almost done with a complete reworking of my Raindance in the Ruins, but I haven't gotten around to completing it. I thought I'd try and get back into the swing of things by finishing this one up. I don't think this one will have any trouble with the re-arrangement standards. I was just seeing how the song would mesh with one of my own originals, and it worked out very nicely. Normally though, I wouldn't be this liberal with the arrangement. My title and the sound fx circa 3:00 all allude to the level in which the music plays. (Anyone remember that shortcut where you walk on water for several steps?) Enjoy. -Patrick Burns (remixer name: Patrick Burns)

Location : Hi, I’m french (so please excuse my bad english) and I discovered OC Remix 6 month ago. I’ve always loved FF6 music, and particularly that damn “Decisive battle” song. Then I decided to start playing it at the piano, but I haven’t good skills on internet so I didn’t find the score-sheet, then I decided to make my own “decisive battle” song at piano.

Contact: Remixer/Band name: Six Shot 7 Email: sssitinith@gmail.com Website: http://www.myspace.com/sixshot7 Remix Info: Name of game remixed: Silent Hill Comments: This is my first submission (yayz), and I've been composing for roughly a year.I think the subject matter needs some explaining; this isn't a remix of an actual song from the game (as far as I'm aware of), rather it's an orchestration based off the solution to the piano puzzle in Midwich school (I hope that justifies it as a remix >..>). Thanks in advance for listening and any feedback you might send my way, I'm always looking for more ways to improve and hearing others thoughts. Link to mp3:
