  1. Title: "A Mountain Most Evil" Remixer name: Arglebargle Game: Zelda: LTTP (SNES) I've had this tune for a while, but kinda forgot about submitting it to OCR. It's a metal/orchestral hybrid of the Death Mountain theme from Zelda: LTTP. Can't say I have any confidence at all in it making the grade, but I'd interested in knowing how badly I fall short. I do think it's better than either of my previous arrangements submitted here. Link: Hope that works; Web1000 is very... unreliable. 3. Remix: Game name: Final Fantasy 7 ReMixer name: Michikawa Real name: Matti Paalanen Website: http://www.mikseri.net/users/?id=61143 Comments: Nobuo Uematsu's music has always had a strong influence on me, and as I finally managed to finish Final Fantasy 7 I couldn't get rid of the magnificent theme Judgement Day even after many days had passed. So I sat down and mixed this simple tribute, which brought peace to my astonished mind.
  4. Cool arrangement - djp Contact Info: - Name: PhantomSnake - Real name: Tom Voros - Email address: phantomsnake@gmail.com - Userid: 28984 Toxic Sonic remix of Sonic Spinball - Toxic Caves ReMix: Original: Hey again, You may remember I submitted a Xenogears remix a few months ago called Experiment with Sea and Fire. It was rejected, though a couple of judges suggested a resub. Well, I had intended to fix that piece up, but instead I found myself moving on to new stuff. I'm back for my second attempt with a brand new remix. This one's from Sonic Spinball. I tried to go for jazz, and I think I succeeded to some extent. Enjoy, PhantomSnake
  5. Remixer: ParagonX9 (ID=14058) Web: http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/view.php?id=198486 Remix Title: No. 5 (Snapdragon) Game: Super Double Dragon (SNES) Track: 5th Stage // LoL finally after more than a year I finally had the time to finish my remix of SDD (S5) I actually didnt like this game at all. The old DoubleDragon series were much better in my opinion. I made this remix in Reason 3.0, and mastered it with: SoundForge, T-Racks24 and my self-made '8-Band Compressor' (Going to make a 24-Band soon) There's lot's of variation in this remix, and I used different styles in it.. gotta love that 3-step part Enjoy listening, - JD

DOWNLOAD SONG HERE (from my website): REMIX NAME: Helena's Trance ReMix Info GAME REMIXED: Dead Or Alive 2 ORIGINAL SONG: Helena's Stage Additional information about game: I don't think this game is on the site yet, I'm unsure of the composer. The game came out on Dreamcast originally and gracedthe PS2, and most recently in the form of Dead or Alive Ultimate, it featured the original song as well. COMMENTS: There wasn't enough DOA2 love. The game has some incredible music. I'm had a tough time remixing this one since the original was almost completely composed of strings, not to mention the time signature was 3:4, but I think it turned out okay. You may notice a little French speaking accenting the remix here and there, and its because the character in the game was French... i thought it was a cool effect. I spent a long time on this one and I really hope its accepted. Thanks a lot.
  8. This is my first OC ReMix, so please pardon any confusion. I hope this goes well. Contact Info: Artist Name - Nord E-mail - 3@livingstonian.com Website - www.livingstonian.com/~sean ReMix Info: Name - Spinning About From: Mega Man 3 (NES) Other: This is a ReMix of Top Man's stage. I was sad there wasn't a 'good' remix of this on the site, so I made one I like better. Not to say the remix already on the site isn't bad, I just don't like lyrics that much (love the guitar in fact). Anyways this is my first submission. The longer I put off submitting the more it will tear me apart to make this song better so I'm just submitting it and saying what the heck! Thanks! REMIX DOWNLOAD: -Nord

Changed EQ. Made Jello Pudding. I have gotten about 5 YES votes on this. Now if I can just get them all in one submission. If the sound quality is better, its because I can tell the difference between lo-fi and hi-fi now that I finally have some decent headphones that work on both the right and left side. _________________________________________________________________ Express yourself instantly with MSN Messenger! While playing the gba redo of ff4 and after recently hearing harmony's dragonsong again, a love for 5/4 started welling up inside of me. Thus, i mixed. I can't pinpoint why this track grabbed my attention, but it did and here we are. I tried to keep the song interesting and varied while still getting the song out that i wanted to. It was also my goal to utilize the sounds i had on hand to the best of their and my ability so that the quality would be there. Well, enjoy, bob your head, make children dance, etc. (sidenote: if this gets approve-ed, could i get a birthday shout-out to Eujiggles? Feb 10, go her!)

  18. email sub file Star Ocean The Second Story The Ten Wise Men Have Landed OC Remix.mp3 ReMixer Name: T41N7 Real Name: Andrew Loyal Email: andrewl221@bellsouth.net I am websiteless I am on the forums as T41N7, but I think I accidentally deleted my conformation email and I don't know what my user id is. heh... sry 'bout that. I'll have figured it out by my next submission. Song Info- Star Ocean The Second Story by Enix for PlayStation The Ten Wise Men, Composed by Motoi Sakuraba This is probably one of my favorite of my remixes (hence the fact it is the first one I am submitting), although it is also one of my first remixes. I always liked the simplicity mixed with the cool beat, and after a while decided to go back and make some changes on it using my new-found abilities with my program. This being probably the third or fourth song I made, I didn't know how to do things like controlling the track pan and things like that. That's why I just now (almost a year after I made the remix) decided to go back and fix up the song a bit. I made the song on my laptop, so I only ever heard it through crappy iBook G4 speakers and headphones; then I put it on my new desktop and heard the song through real speakers and with a subwoofer. Note: DO NOT turn the bass on full. Please. When you hear it, you'll know what I mean. If you have iPod headphones, you need not to fear. I think it seemed worse than it really was for me because I had heard the song a hundred times and never heard it with any real bass. Thanks -T41N7
  19. Greetings, I submit to you today my remix entitled "Rose Town Hoe Down" for inclusion in the great collection of OverClocked Remixes. Details are as follows: ReMixer name: The Heptadragon Real name: Andrew Stern Email address: heptadragon@musician.org UserID: I'm not quite sure where to find this, and I don't see it in my profile anywhere, but I know that my username is heptadragon (sorry!) Name of game(s) ReMixed: Super Mario RPG, a little bit of Final Fantasy 6 Name of individual song(s) ReMixed: Beware the Forest's Mushrooms (SMRPG), Gau (FF6), Canon in D (Pachelbel) Comments: I got my original inspiration for this mix from a random square-dance tune I heard on the radio. I was listening to it and I started to make up some lyrics about dancing with Mario. I wrote those lyrics down and waited. Eventually musical inspiration came when I was listening to the Super Mario RPG soundtrack. It hit me that "Beware the Forest's Mushrooms" would be really amusing if the tempo were doubled. I put two and two together and the Rose Town Hoe Down was born. I couldn't just leave it as a dance tune the whole way through, though... any good square-dance song has to have a ballad in the middle (riiiiiight). The melody for that ballad was none other than Gau's theme from Final Fantasy 6. More amusing lyrics sprang to mind as I imagined Mario waxing eloquent about his life. The result is a rocking, danceable tune with a heartfelt ballad in the middle. And of course, what song wouldn't be complete without a quote from Pachelbel's Canon in D? (I'm a cellist, so that damn song gets stuck in my head all the time.) Link to song: Enjoy! -Andrew Stern ==The Heptadragon== P.S. Sound effects are from Super Mario 64 (of course) and Bust-a-Move '99.
  20. I've taken a long hiatus from OCRemixin', but I've finally made something I believe is worthy of submitting, especially compared to the one other mix I have on the site (yuk). If you like, you can post the vocals featured in this song, as they might be a little hard to understand from the tweaking I gave them: 'This channel opened, and it began to inform me. It was not like any experience I've ever had; there was no hallucination. What there was was what I would describe as pure understanding. Understanding that amplified itself every hour; every minute. I mean, I had only to take a cup and dip up a glass of water from the spring and pour it past my eyes and I could say "I understand water!"' 'Nature is hyperdementional in it's architectonics. We are flowing toward a culminating purpose; probably the shedding of matter as the vehicle of our becoming.' Anyways, here is a link to the song. Enjoy! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Yahoo! Photos Ring in the New Year with Photo Calendars. Add photos, events, holidays, whatever.
  21. Seconded - Compy, you *do* make a number of contributions to the community, but you also don't seem to realize when - even though you may only be expressing your opinion - all you're succeeding in doing is pissing people off and alienating them. When a forum moderator indicates you should stop, please do so, instead of following it up with an explanation that continues down the same path. It also seems to me this whole thing has roots in previous arguments, which are better left buried. Next time I see either Rayza or Aurora on IRC, I'll ask them about VGDJ's status, as I'd like to see it resurrected as well. I see no need to start a new show when the domain's bought, the fanbase has been established, and the concept originated w/ Aurora and Rayza. If they don't have the time to continue physically with the show, I hope they'll lend their endorsement and be with future hosts in spirit, rather than necessitate spinoffs. It sounds like this is the case, and all that's needed is the website password - hopefully this can be obtained soon.
