OC ReMix Presents Super Dodge Ball: Around the World! October 10th, 2011 Contact: press@ocremix.org FAIRFAX, VA--Happy Columbus Day! OverClocked ReMix today released its 28th arrangement album, Super Dodge Ball: Around the World. This album, co-directed by Kyle Crouse (KyleJCrb) and Alan Bish (Murmeli Walan), features a variety of musical styles from a diverse lineup of musicians, paying homage to the classic 8-bit dodgeball game for the Nintendo Entertainment System. "With 19 arrangements from 25 artists, we pay tribute to Kazuo Sawa's amazing Super Dodge Ball soundtrack with an eclectic mix of ethnic, metal, nerdcore hip-hop, new age, hardcore trance, and orchestral music. I am very proud to have assisted Walan in putting together an album that I feel is very consistent and fun to listen to. I hope everyone enjoys checking out Around the World!," said Kyle. The album was produced to help promote the music of Super Dodge Ball, was made by fans, for fans, and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Technos or Million Co., Ltd.; all original compositions and characters are copyright their respective owners. Alan Bish added: "The original concept of Around the World was to showcase and tribute the music of Kazuo Sawa by reimagining his Super Dodge Ball soundtrack in an ethnic style. Over seven years after the concept's creation, Around the World has been released! ...This album would have never been completed without the help of co-director KyleJCrb, who stepped in in 2009 and recruited an amazing group of talented musicians from all corners of the Internet. It's my hope that everyone who listens will enjoy Around the World!" The Game Boy 25th Anniversary Remix Album
djpretzel replied to The Damned's topic in Recruit & Collaborate!
Cool concept; GB needs more love!! PLEASE consider http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turok:_Battle_of_the_Bionosaurs or anything else by Alberto Jose Gonzalez - he's one of the (largely) unsung masters of Gameboy VGM. He's also on Facebook and there's a *chance* he might be down for contributing a mix of his own. I'd really like to see a mix by him, a mix of his music, or both, on such an album. -
An inarguable icon; I have this feeling we'll be studying the effects he had on the software/computer/IT industry 30 years from now, easily... I don't agree with a lot of business policies, or implicit value, of Apple products, but they have definitely changed the world.

I certainly didn't delete those comments; we're not accountable for that. As for competitions like this being fair at all, this might be a newsflash, but they aren't. I might not have used a forum mailout for this purpose - that was Larry's call, and I've said before that I want to explicitly approve all forum mailouts, and he did not get my approval, which is our issue to work out internally, but try not to assume bad faith. Also, it bears mentioning that Jill is actually site staff. We try to help all OCR artists, staff or not, but it can make a difference in some situations.

We messed up, more or less... we DID do a restock earlier this year, and we ARE good on hoodies, I just need to get them over to eStarland. On shirts, we ordered quite a few, but we sold a TON at Otakon & PAX, which was great, but left us with (literally) zero black mediums, and single digit quantities of some other sizes. So for shirts, we need to do ANOTHER restock order, focusing specifically on black mediums, which seem to be our most popular size. Truly sorry for the inconvenience; for hoodies, the issue should be solved in a week or two, for shirts, more like a month.
