  1. Some good ideas, and it's definitely at least a complete song in some regards, but the arrangement and samples, especially the choir, show their age here. A bit of an update in everything and expansion on the writing would make this pretty good. Not awful to me, but not one of my favorites.
  2. Beautiful and sexy as hell with that sax. Agreed with the sentiments that this really brings forward the imagery of a city at nighttime. Perfect theme to chill out to, awesome ReMix indeed.
  3. Parts of this give me very early Tekken vibes, so I dig that, and the sfx were a nice touch when they popped in. Only thing I didn't care for was the section that cut one side of the audio in one earbud then did the same on the other, but outside of that, I enjoyed this.
  4. The flute really adds a lot to the synthy backing and it really keeps the party atmosphere going while going for a smoother vibe. Pretty cool.
  5. Hot damn, nothing better than a Fear Factory ReMix with a coating of 80's percussion that seem like they'll never give you up or let you down and maintains steady energy throughout. Love this.
  6. That Williams influence was felt and heard, I enjoyed the dark world sections the most. Some points seemed off at times though I can't properly articulate how, but nothing ever remotely took me out of liking it. Not bad at all.
  7. Such as unique approach compared to most Mega Man X ReMixes, but it's done supremely well. Like an experience in an open world game with beautiful orchestration, it's hella good. I appreciate when I can get pleasantly surprised by the direction of a mix. This is cool.
  8. So happy whenever this OST gets touched, and this was lovely to listen to. Keeping the slower vibes of those early levels while adding some personalization with the way it spaces around the guitar was sweet. Definitely sounds like PoP, and I love it.
  9. Usually a solo piano piece sounds beautiful or well-executed, and I'm not saying this isn't because it's certainly both, but the addition of multiple pianos gives it that extra zest solos don't usually get and I love this instrument getting to shine in multiple layers like this. Recommended.
  10. Agreed with OA on the distorted lead, and I'm sure there's other things to nitpick, but overall I loved this ReMix. It's somehow both chill and poppin' at the same and I couldn't dig that bass more if I tried. Damn good take on Zangief's theme. Very cool.
  11. This is just pure fun and I love hearing instrumental songs with a special focus on certain classes. Though usually I hear strings or woodwinds get this kind of focus, brass is cool as well. Quite liked this.
  12. Guile and Zangief's theme really do play off each other nicely and the lyrics are great, both in writing and performance. Great arrangement!
  13. That guitar vs keyboard section was sick and really spiced up the ReMix. Sometimes a good tune getting fine-tuned with a dash of cool ideas is all you need, and this was a great example of that. Nice work.
  14. That solo is incredible and I can hear the Pendulum influence. That style is something I'm used to and like, so I can deal with some of the distortion and mastering hotness, but I can understand if it's not everyone's thing. Great update to a classic theme.
  15. This is dope and gives Honda's stage the energy it was always missing in the original. Love the vox and the best that perfectly punctuated the electronic bits. Very good mix
  16. Much like a great Mario maker level, this ReMix takes several different cameos of themes and puts them together neatly for one great mix on top of one solid foundation and it totally works. Great mix.
  17. Mixing surf guitars and energetic drum and bass together wasn't a combo I'd expect, but it's one I love. The female vocal breakdown was nice as was the transition back to the beat. Overall, not bad at all.
  18. Experimental for sure, but it's not bad at all. Not sure if I'm perfectly suited to have the patience for it, but I can at least appreciate it and I'd personally listen to it as a whole performance rather than on section, but that just me. Cool idea.
  19. What a neat folksy ReMix, it really does feel like an evolved and fleshed out SMB 2 theme, with other treats packed in. Going to be listening to this ditty for a while I'm sure.
  20. Man, not even ten seconds in and even without the title and write-up, the NIN influence hit like a ton of bricks. Certainly fits the creepy atmosphere the arrangement was going for and I love every bit of it, especially the haunted house section. Also didn't know the tidbit about the house where the NIN album was recorded, so that was fun to learn.
  21. There's nothing better than taking a chippy song and giving it a solid beat, and glitchy breakbeat at that. Always like hearing Super Mario Land's theme get a bit of a boost, so this was awesome to listen to.
  22. Going to throw my lot in with the folks who enjoyed the use of SFX throughout the majority of the ReMix. Honestly preferred it to only using it too much in one section like I've heard some mixers do in other songs. Liked this a lot, very nice mix.
  23. The latin jazz really fits both Sagat and Vampire Killer nicely, especially when they play off each other. The beginning wasn't fully my cup of tea, but the rest of the mix surely was. Well done!
  24. So smooth and chill, absolutely lovely. Perfect for a chill, relaxing rest session. Really nice all around.
  25. Man, the ever so slight tempo increase and beautiful flute made me like this more than the source already, but then the guitar hit and I fell in love with the whole thing. This was excellent and highly recommended.
