  1. Taking two of the most unquestionably beautiful themes in the Donkey Kong Country series and combining them into a synth wave audio feast is genius. Honestly, the fact that these songs aren't mixed together more often is surprising to me, but this mix is incredible. All the love in the world for this song.
  2. Absolutely gorgeous ReMix. Nailed the feelings of the levels expertly. I always love hearing mixes like this that take an idea or theme linking multiple sources and wrapping them together and this is no exception. Well done!
  3. Man, I'm glad Emunator submitted this one because it's fucking dope. The arrangement of Fear Factory was already fantastic, but the female vocals took it to another level, especially the "ooooohs" near ends. Recommended as fuck.
  4. Intro had me thinking we were going gothic with this at first before it grow into what I'd call a fully realized version of what the original wanted to be. I love ReMixes that take the best parts of an old source and gives them a boost. Highly enjoyed this.
  5. I've often said that Cyril's unique vocal style goes well with harmonized parts and is great for more story driven lyrics, so this plays to all those strengths and sound awesome to me. X vs Zero always felt like a fight that needed that emotional impact, so tossing in a bit of Zero's original theme and the MMX demo song scratches that character itch. Love it.
  6. I've noticed the X5 lends itself well to funkier treatments, so this was another good example of that. The glitching and vocal fx were the spice on top of this sweet groovy mix and I will enjoy having this on my playlist in the future.
  7. This ReMix really takes the time it's given and uses it well, with various build ups, slow downs and exploring the source completely. Pretty damn good arrangement, and I like how the sfx were integrated at certain points. Very nice debut mix here.
  8. Airship theme with the intensity of Doom is pretty sick, as was giving the koopa kids fight a similar style treatment. Guitar work was dope and I'm happy to hear the drums at the beginning hit as hard as they should. This is awesome all around.
  9. Wow, this was something fun. It kinda felt like listening to the idea of concept of space and ocean colliding, so dimensional sounds about right. Trippy, weird, neat. I'd file it more under an experience and ambiance than song, but not bad at all considering the sources.
  10. Pretty heavy stuff, and while I admit screamo isn't my cup of tea and sometimes the music was louder than the vocals, altogether this felt like a solid ReMix. Really liked the violin for the time it was there.
  11. Sexy sax, clean electric guitar and oozing with triumphant 80's energy, this is an awesome arrangement. Loved this one.
  12. Quite the sexy jazzy blues number we've got here, but that's no surprise for Nostalvania, who has the art of funk mastered. So smooth and enjoyable, well done.
  13. Synthwave Mining Melancholy! Hell yeah, give me that chill neon vibe anytime. I personally enjoyed the vocal samples (also curious of the source). Terrific mix of one of my favorite DKC songs, definitely going on my mp3. Also, had no idea about the dkc 3 gba fact, so that was cool too.
  14. Great mix with lots of fun, boppin' energy, almost like a beach party, so I definitely agree with the alternative koopa beach idea. Loved the addition of Toad's sfx. Very nice.
  15. Pure cinema in musical form, this is so much fun and the whimsical and grand arrangement of it all really reminds me of old classic animated films. Such a good ReMix!
  16. Damn, this is hella fun. I really love funky jazz that glides this smoothly with the perfect mixture of piano, organ, bass and so on. Just fantastic in every way. Dark World usually brings out some neat arrangements from ReMixers, but this is definitely in the top 5 for me.
  17. Simply beautiful, from grand and epic fanfare to a sweet melodic showcase of the main theme, this is a powerful and incredible sounding orchestral piece.
  18. As someone who fully fell into the Minecraft hole last year, that piano loop has been the background opening to sighs of relief and letting go of a lot of stress on some more unfortunate days on my end. So hearing this be transformed into a beautiful, calming meditation piece with chimes and such is awesome and brings me some subtle joy.
  19. Keeps things close to the source, but with an extra punch of funk and some excellent electric guitar makes this an example of how to make something your own while honoring the spirit of the tune. Well done, great mix of Mining Melancholy. Y'all absolutely did my favorite DKC 2 theme justice.
  20. Damn, this was beautiful. The imagery, the synths, and that gorgeous violin, everything here clicked. I'm constantly amazed at how many different ways these themes can be rearranged and still find new ways to explore them. Divine mix here, really loved this.
  21. This is fantastic. I love how it starts off with a deliberate pace that almost sounds menacing before kicking off with that faster beat that I'm used to for the Beep. Glad to hear the whistle scratch sound included throughout the mix, it really ties the whole thing together. If detailing the stage aesthetics through the music was the plan, it worked. Very nice.
  22. Between the percussion and the guitar, this mix is fucking clean, and the soloing is so good. Love the personalization here. Yeah, thoroughly liked this.
  23. Whoa, the chiptune and orchestral really blended together in an unexpected way. Not something I would have expected or thought about, but I really dig the contrast. Super unique and for these two tunes, it fits together. So much gelling going on here, I like it.
  24. Two things make a Eurobeat mix shine for me, and that's consistent energy of the faster kind, and writing/arrangement that keeps it interesting and exciting. This ReMix checks off both and doesn't try to go overboard either. Damn good balance and a great mix of Athletic.
  25. I love me some heavy dark synth wave, but toping it off with ambient vocals and an absolute jaw dropping guitar portion made this beyond fantastic. I think I heard the AA nod, but not sure. Gonna half to listen a few more times to be sure, and then a hundred times more just because this ReMix is that damn good. Hella recommended.
