  1. As someone who is an unapologetic 80's era music lover and someone who also just recently discovered Mitch Murder through the newer Friday the 13th game, I could not approve of this synthwave Shovel Knight ReMix any harder if I wanted to. I especially like how well Tinker Knight's theme lends itself to a more upbeat treatment here. Fantastic beat, voxy vocals, and great teamwork between the synths and percussion, this is awesome, dude!

  2. DR. WELI's first mix is still one of my favorites from the site, and this song was pretty damn good in it's own right. The percussion was sweet, and the latter half of the mix building towards the end was terrific. Not really much to nitpick that others haven't already pointed out, but all around, this is a solid mix of a great source tune that doesn't get enough love.

  3. Oh yeah, I do love me some Nostalvania working some Jazz magic all over Shadow Man's stage. Sounds super natural, like you could stick this in a jazz club or old school pool tavern and no one would question it. Loved the piano and time sig switching work here, and the arrangement is well written so that the mix never got stale, staying fresh the whole time. This is excellent, damn good mix, I'd say.

  4. Alright, I can see what the ReMixer was going for here with the tropical salsa arrangement, and to an extent it works, but for me there was a tad bit of an issue where I had to focus on either the piano or the acoustics, or else I would lose the thread altogether. The piano sounded good, though, and I can appreciate the attempt as I think this was a good idea, but there were melody things going on that probably could've used a tightening or two. Not bad by any means, but there is room for things to be reworked to make it really good.

  5. MMmmm, those strings sure are tasty surrounded by those harmony-bringing vocalizations and percussion. Definitely an easy to listen to track that, while not completely slow and chill, has a nice relaxing tone to it all, making it perfect to having playing while concentrating on something else in my opinion. The sources are meshed in well together and all in all, the mix just sounds finely executed. Not bad at all.

  6. Fucking hell this was fantastic! There is so much happening at any given time and so many parts of this ReMix made me smile from outright enjoyment. The drop at 0:19 with that dope sounding choir, the use of the SFX especially with Mario's "yahs" keeping the beat, the multiple glitches and switch-ups, the harpsichord, and especially the dark organ sounding bits that lead to the ending that sent this home with a punch. And the best part is it all worked together and fit in one sweet EDM package. This is a crazy ReMix to debut with, and man, I love it! Recommended and going into my playlist for sure!

  7. This is so cool. I'm really digging the stylistic use of the autotune that goes well with the lyrics. Smooth and easy to listen to, but man, do I ever get the feeling of hardcore sadness out of this. I don't know much about FF7 having not played it yet, but I can feel the emotion of just from this mix alone, and that's pretty powerful. Hell of a ReMix, DrumUltimA.

  8. While I do love the chug-a-lug of The Distortionist's take on the DKC AA theme, this is awesome in it's own right, taking a more relaxed kind of shredding, which is unique to me because while it certainly rocks hard, it maintains that peaceful soundscape, especially in the middle with the more acoustic section. Same with the outro. Gotta give props to the percussion in the intro for really hitting the mark for accompanying the guitar. The blending of metal and acoustic is still a fresh thing to hear since I don't come across many songs that combine both, so this was very fun to listen to. And that solo is fantastic! I love this and will definitely be rocking this on my playlist.

  9. This is wild and a little trippy, certainly fits the whole atmosphere of falling asleep and dreaming before waking up to voices and outside car honking noises, where the ReMix stops. Out of context, I can see how the ending might snag a few folks, but I think it works as intended. Good beat, a sweet lucid ambiance with just the right amount of reverb, and the piano wasn't loud enough to take me out of the "dreamy" bits, but was loud enough for me to appreciate it. This is pretty damn good.

  10. This is a very pretty sounding piece in the beginning, with a little sorrow and a touch of whimsy, but then it really comes in with a sound of triumph and courage near the end. Hell of a ReMix to traverse so many emotions and images over the course of a song. Solid orchestral piece with an awesome rock section to bring it home. Definitely the most interesting and entertaining rendition of Temple of Time I've heard thus far. Great stuff, man!

  11. Never played Sonic Rush, but this theme was one that I've always enjoyed after I stumbled across it so long ago, so I'm glad to hear a ReMix that pushes it even further into the high-paced energetic EDM that makes it super amped up. This really takes me back a few years. Unbelievably happy that you kept a lot of the voice samples in there, as it is so hard to imagine the melody without them. Really good ReMix, well done!

  12. Man, the chiptune really does remind me of some older NES/Game Boy Color themes just from how the the chips play along with the synth in the rest of the mix. Would certainly fit right in with that era and then some. I particularly liked the section between 2:09-2:23 where you can really hear the percussion beat behind the chips with that hard, deliberate booming hits to the beat. Well done taking these two sources and making something interesting with them.

  13. Sweet mother of god, I really think this might be both my favorite rendition of "The Moon" and ReMix from Willrock I have heard thus far. Pure electric rock screaming of 80's that should give anyone with a pulse a thrill. Just the wailing of the guitars alone made this great, but you really pulled this together for that epic sound of achievement ad victory. So damn good, worth several extremely replayable listens.

  14. Chaotic and cool, this is sick as hell! The intro had a neat little anarchy vibe with the vocal clips mixed together before breaking into the raps. Great lyrics, good beat, awesome flow, and I love how the beat at times sounded like it had a transmitter blip sound effect. Intentional or not, it's a good call back to the intro. So slick and groovy, this is the kind of funky hip-hop that I can bop my head to for a long, long time. Fantastic, truly incredible ReMix from everyone involved.

  15. I'm not going to lie, I did the same thing as a few others and misread the title the same way. I have no regrets. :D Still, I love this saxy little tune and how it pretty much embodies the whole spirit of the Snow Mountain with the accordion and Christmas tunes showing up in the end. It might be a tad short in length, but this ReMix covers a lot of ground and really nails the jazzy/rock style. It even has a great seasonal opening that fits the source and the guitar felt like it belonged, striking the right tone. Great holiday tune for sure.

  16. This is gorgeous, Gar. The flute and airy chorus playing alongside the softly-strummed guitar while gliding over the ocean waves makes me really want to listen to this while drifting in a small boat at night with the Northern Lights overhead. Gentle, relaxing, and peaceful, this is Winter mysticism in music form and I think this is the perfect kind of ReMix to lay back and listen to in order to remove a lot of stress by listening and forgetting all else. Love it.

  17. Wintery seasonal music that bursts into metal, my favorite kind of holiday music. I do get a bit of the Trans-Siberia Orchestra style out of this, which is the way to go when you want to give the cold months of the end of the year an edge. The mood is right, the arrangement is right, and there is really nothing I can nitpick that distracted me too much out of the song, so I definitely dig it.

  18. I really never had a problem with Vocaloid music, though I do admit that I'm more of a fan of the deeper voiced ones like Luka or Meiko, so this is even closer to what I enjoy in this field because it is much clearer than the usual vocaloid stuff. And beyond the vocals, the music itself was very pleasant to listen to and had a smooth, warm feel. I could see this fitting very much into a Vocaloid rhythm game with how it showcases a steady beat with the strong guitar solo. Very nice, I enjoyed hearing this!
