  1. So happy this thread exists! So Propellerhead, the makers of Reason, released a DX7 clone for Reason a few days ago, and I had this idea of making a medley of P3/4 songs in a sort of retro 80's funk style. Problem is, I'm not really skilled at this genre, so I'm looking for a collab partner to make this happen! I have a few of the themes sketched out, please feel free to messege me, and LETS DO THIS
  2. Well I havnt messed with either flamenco guitar or game music in a while, so I thought I'd kill 2 birds with 1 stone. Enjoy! http://tindeck.com/listen/afen EDIT: Source: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GocUWSjt050 Also, any Spanish speakers out there want to confirm the title for me? I'm half convinced "Robotnico" sounds more Italian than Spanish...
  3. http://soundcloud.com/tokyocity/keshiki Just a weird little dance ditty I came up with. I hope somebody somewhere gets a kick out of it! EDIT: Just listend again, I think it makes me sound like an effects whore...
  4. Holy mother of.... By far, my favorite version of Green Hill Zone, and Ive heard A LOT! As stated before the ending is sort of weak, I like the orchestration of it, just add some UMPH! to it, and this will be golden! Edit: Scratch that. Listened to it again, and I think its perfect!
  5. Oh my god Oh my God! I am in love! This is fantastic, Thanks for sharing!
  6. http://soundcloud.com/tokyocity/robots-first-acid-trip Yup. No idea how to describe this one. Made in an afternoon in Reason 6 using Thor and an Alpha Juno
  7. http://soundcloud.com/zachgreen/crystal-iquanadons This really stared because I wanted to see how synthy I could make my guitar sound, then the rest of the track just sort of followed. Enjoy, and leave me some feedback! <3
  8. I think putting a subtle flanger on the electric piano at the beginning would go a long way.
  9. The second one really seeems to fix most of the problems I had with the first one. I think the arrangement is nice, and it has a cool feel to it. Good stuff so far!
  10. I genuinely like this. Starts out nice and ambient, then builds up a nice electro-swing feel. Pretty cool! I feel like its missing some build or something though. Maybe make the part around 3:13 a little more hard hitting? I'd also work on getting the snare to cut through the mix a bit. All in all pretty good, I think this has potential.
  11. at 1:07 when the song comes back, I would add some kind of cool funky bassline to the mix. I really feel like this song would be complete with a cool bassline added around here. Other than that, really solid.
  12. Solid work! This is by far the best song in the game, and I'm glad to see it getting some attention. I particularly like the glitchy effect you used on parts of the melody. My only complaint is that at times it feels....static if that makes sense. Like it's just waiting for a huge build up that never really happens.
  13. Check out these 2 great refills! One is an Alpha Juno for Reason and the other is a new bass synthesizer. Check it out! http://www.zemerald.com/ Happy Reasoning! If you need help with anything, just send me an email at zach@zemerald.com
  14. Haha, thanks. To be honest, I tried to fit a bass line in there, but I just couldnt get it to fit in the mix without being too muddy. :\ So instead of having a cool bassline, I decided to focus more of percussion and drums. Personally, I think it worked, but we all have our own opinions. Anyway, thanks for the feedback, it's much appreciated!
  15. So here's an oldie. I actually composed this track about 7 or so years ago when I was an 8th grader just starting to learn guitar. I think this might actually be my first ever composition. Anyway, I rediscovered it as an old tab the other day and thought "Lets give it a proper recording." So here it is, "Psychedelic Sultan". Please, tell me what you think! http://soundcloud.com/zachgreen/psychedelic-sultan
  16. Hey, is your offer still good? I have a song that I'd really like to get some vocals on..
  17. Hey OC Remix! This past year I've been working pretty hard on creating my first album of instrumental music. The music is all written and recorded, except for the bass and drums! I am in desperate need of a bassist and drummer with sufficient skill to play on my songs. Could this be you? Post here, or send me a PM if interested! www.zachgreen.com
  18. I really dig it so far. As far as arrangement goes, maybe you could have it build up or something, because just starting as it does seems awkward to my ears. I like what you've done with the melody, adding little trills and bits of interest like that, good work. The only thing I can gripe about is towards the end, where you start doing slides, maybe you could turn on a delay or something to help smoothen that part out. All and all a fantastic start though! Also, what synths are you using?
  19. Hey all, I found an old remix I started of the Gen III VS Gym Leader theme. I tried to make the arrangement kind of stripped back, like something a power trio would perform, and I think I got a decent start. Tell me what you think!: Source: My version: http://tindeck.com/listen/kzqo Feedback would be great!
  20. Thanks everyone for the positive feedback. I honestly wasn't expecting any! The piercingness might be might fault. I tend to love high end on my guitar tone alittle too much sometimes...
  21. So I decided to cover Kraid's theme on guitar last night. I wasn't going for anything super special, like trying to get featured on OC Remix, it was more of a "What can I get done in about an hour" type of deal. It's not perfect, but I'm happy with it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t0qgYiIq0sQ& Enjoy.
  22. My thoughts exactly. Just fix this, and IMO it will be ready! EDIT: Just so you know, I've been trying to cover the Prime theme lately, and this is pretty inspiring to me to finish my own cover.. What chords are being played at 3:30, if you don't mind me asking...
  23. I enjoyed this. Pretty good take on the original! The only thing I wasnt a fan of are the drum samples. What samples did you use?
  24. The title of the track is "Round-A-Bout", it's a guitar-driven, power trio instrumental, and I need feedback. How is the playing, I feel like the guitars are abit sloppy... and I'm not too sure about the slow section in the middle, might cut or change it. www.reverbnation.com/zachgreen Any thoughts or suggestions?
