  1. *strums Dixie on his banjo* I forgot about regional differences. But yeah, if everyone posted edit, then the thread would get clogged. If you plan on offering mass editing to regulars, then please put me at the top of the list.
  2. This article looks great, but a few sentences look awkward. In the first sentence I've bolded, instead of the phrase "that they," how about replacing it with "state?" "a group of fairy folk whose beliefs state they will die if they leave Kokiri Forest." I also suggest adding the word "with" where I've bolded it to make the sentence flow better. Secondly, you've spelled "realizes" wrong in the third paragraph. I've also suggested adding the word "is" in the last line. A semicolon is also needed in that sentence. In the final paragraph, "Saria's as a character..." sounds terribly awkward when spoken out loud. I suggest the following revision: "As a character, Saria has only appeared in Ocarina of Time, but Saria’s Song has recently appeared in Super Smash Bros Melee. Of course, these are just my own grammar-Nazi suggestions. Other than these qualms, it's a fantastic article. Man, I should have worked on this project a long time ago. Nitpicking other people's spelling and grammar is my forte.
  3. Kirby with floppy hat and goggles = AWESOME Kirby with manly stubble and bandanna = AWESOME-ER
  4. Years of delays and restarts... ? A bit over the top imo.. It took over a year, maybe 1 and a half, but not years of restarts.... or did i miss something ?? I say blame it on Walan - he did the news post. Blame my flair for dramatic newswriting. But anyway, the word's getting out. By the way, I'd say my three favorite tracks right now are Walk on Water, Malicious Fingers (Death Egg intro FTW!) and Knuckleduster. This is also the first time I've listened to a site project without wanting to skip a single track. It's all that good to me.
  5. Hey, just wanted to let you guys know that I submitted the news of Project Chaos a couple of days ago over at SonicHQ, one of the largest Sonic fansites around (after Sonic Stadium, of course). You'll find it in the front page news section.
  6. New screenshots and a good quality version of the Nintendo World 2006 Trailer? Yays!
  7. Congrats, you just summed up 99% of ocremix. Then again, the sonic-cult forums were never the high-point of the internet.
  8. Sounds good to me, Larry. Arek: Mae has limited internet access at the moment, but she usually responds to emails pretty well. Speaking of email, you said earlier that you had a list of remixers you wanted to contact? Send me an email about that, and I'll let you know who I've talked to so far.
  9. If a move back to Site Projects is what it takes to get your Arek Mojo workin', then I second the request.
  10. Ack, you're right, Rexy. From the Minibosses Forum over at The Shizz: Nope, Electric Eye..... After writing that section I realized the progression was identical to that part in Electric Eye, so I stole Tiptons solo...
  11. Found a special stage reference around 2:30, and why does that part right after sound a lot like Ecco the Dolphin? That same track also ends with some Hydrocity notes. I can't find anything else in Divided from Grace. God I love this kind of stuff. There's also the Sonic 3 title screen reference right at the beginning. Plus, the Sonic 3 Knuckles' Theme hides around the middle of iMushroom. You guys wanted to make sure nearly every piece of S3K music got in, didn't you?
  12. Actually, I'm glad they haven't said anything solid. Everyone knows how bad Nintendo is at keeping release dates.
  13. Nintendo has said that Pokemon Battle Revolution will be the first online Wii game. But they did promise that SSBB will be online just as long as they can get 4-player multiplayer perfect without lag problems.
  14. GENERAL DISCUSSION REMIX PROJECT FLOOOOOOOD!!!! Heh, I actually didn't realize that so many projects were going on now in addition to my own. Thanks for bringing these projects to everyone's attention, Larry. Arek, Mae, the first thing I want you two to do is to contact everyone who has WIPs and find out what the status is on those songs. I also want Andy Jayne and Ryan8bit contacted to let them know that you two have taken over and ask if they have any changes at all they'd like to make to their tracks. Personally, I find them absolutely perfect. My PM box is nearly full, so I'll talk to the both of you though e-mail. There are still a good deal of tracks that need claimed. Any remixers (who aren't already working on the thousand other projects ) who want in, let us know.
  15. Fantastic. Let me know who you're thinking of, and I'll see if I can't add to it.
  16. As soon as I get the OK from Darke, then it's on.
  17. Mae and Arek the Absolute have agreed to be my directors for Around the World! Welcome, guys! I'm trusting you two to pick up my slack, so get to work! *cracks whip*
  18. Thanks so much for your interest in taking the project over, Mae. I could spare some cell phone minutes to talk to you, but it'd be better if you were on Verizon. If anyone else is interested, please don't hesitate to show it.
  19. Thanks very much for temporarily moving this thread to General Discussion, Larry. I'm sure that there has to be someone in this forum who would be able to accept this undertaking.
  20. Well Kyle, it doesn't look too good. I'm right back into the swing of things here at college, and midterms are really racking me now. The problem here is that I lack the motivation to continue this project alone, or even to play an active role in it. Don't get me wrong: I still love the game's music, and the WIPs that have been given to me are fantastic, but I just don't have the time or the effort to run a remix project. I haven't put in any effort to hound the mixers, and after reelmojo's beyond-his-control leave from the project, I found myself very discouraged. The bottom line is this: I need someone to take control of Around the World from me, or it will die. But there lies my other problem: there are so many projects in the works right now that I don't think anyone's available who would do something like that for me. So, this is the only decision I can make. I want anyone who is seriously interested in running Around the World to either send me a private message or an e-mail. I'll still be around in an "Executive Producer" role to make creative decisions on things, but I really need someone to be my director. If I get no response by November 1st, I'll have no choice but to kill this remix project. It's been a year and a half since I started this project, and I really don't want it to die. Thanks for bumping the thread, Kyle. I shows me that people still want to see the project succeed.
  21. I don't even know how to wavedash, considering I've seen videos and read FAQs on it. It's pretty simple. When you airdodge, you can move while you're doing it in any direction such as up, down, left, right, down-left, etc. All you do is jump, and then airdodge diagonally into the ground. If you were close enough to the ground, then you slide a little. Now the trick is to make the timing between the jump and then airdodge really short. If you do it right, you don't even see the jump. The time between the two depends on the character you're playing. So, you're saying that I have to jump, then airdodge a split-second or so after the jump? I'll keep trying. I don't want to learn wavedashing because I think it's the only way to win or whatever. I just want to try some new techinques. It kinda makes you wonder if wavedashing is a glitch, or if it was an intended tatic.
  22. I don't even know how to wavedash, considering I've seen videos and read FAQs on it. So, I checked into my dorm room this morning, and after BSing with the RA for a couple minutes, I found out that he's a Smasher. In fact, he has a challenge going that if anyone on the first floor can beat him in a match, then he'll buy pizza for everyone on the floor. Knowing how good my best friend/roommate is, we'll be getting pizza pretty often.
  23. I think it's a given that Dedede will be in. smashbrawl.com (part of the Smash Boards) comments:
  24. tada Wow, that really means alot to me. Thanks a lot.
  25. From what I've heard, while GC controllers will be the primary input device for SSBB, there will be some functionality with Wii controllers. What this means, though, is anybody's guess.
