I found this picture of Brushfire in his Pimp Ash costume, on the off chance that anyone managed to miss it. Also if anyone saw a Spy running around with an Engineer mask, that was me. Hi!
-
I need to try that out, Xero. I've gone a while without cleaning up my tf folder.
-
I was just looking for a yes/no, not if you wanted to open the trade window right then. If I waited to ask I'd have forgotten by the time the map ended. --- Editing this in because I don't want to double post for this, but I had an absolute blast playing again tonight for the first time in a month and fell in love with Your Eternal Reward even more than I already did. Special thanks to Frogg for Le Party Phantom.

You know, for how much he claims to hate playing against me, Frogg sure gives me a lot of hats... GUESS WHO HAS LE PARTY PHANTOM?
-
That's kind of amazing.
-
That does look spiffy. I'll need to look into it.
-
idklolbffjill. Nostalgia? Laziness? Eldritch Abominations? (I'm going with laziness, personally.) Also barring unfortunate happenstances such as absolutely no one else being present, I shall be on the server tonight. Finally.

My information may have been faulty. Like I said, it was anecdotal. Based on the general reaction to the Caber, and to a lesser extent the Dead Ringer since everyone's pretty used to it by now, it seems the TF2 community at large doesn't appreciate the idea of large benefits with large drawbacks. Y/N?
-
Without claiming to be an authority on any of the new Christmas items, I've heard at least anecdotal evidence of the Caber oneshotting Pyros from full HP without crits and overhealed Heavies with crits. So it's not just the 125 HP classes I'm worried about.

At least direct grenade hits require a modicum of skill.
-
That's pretty much it. Even though YER kills silently, seeing SPY BACKSTABBED PLAYER in the top right corner, followed by "PLAYER" himself, is a bit of a giveaway. Thus no kill icon. Keep in mind that Robin confirmed that the kill icon's presence was a bug and that they would remove it way back when the Polycount items first came out. So it's overdue if anything. Man, I'm going to have fun with the Saharan set when I get back. >:3

And on top of that, he built there in lieu of anywhere near the first point. Then again, the only teams that gave us trouble were the Brazilians and Lazytown. (And we lost to Lazytown, so...yeah.) The priming animation still appears. I think there are a few points in the video where you can see it for a split second. It's the backstab itself that turns into a poke when it's nocrit. Magic. Also skill, sadism/masochism, and a flair for being theatrical. But mostly magic. These are also valid explanations.
-
I still want to see what happens when we pit Frogg + Medic vs. entire enemy team. <.<
-
Tournament mode is nocrit, which for some odd reason disables the overhand backstab animation. My own computer is on the fritz (again) so I had to use the family computer to play back the demos, which runs TF2 at 10-15 FPS according to Fraps' own counter. Yes. Luckily I'll be back at college on Sunday.
-
So I did what I used to think was impossible and managed to make on the family computer of my demos from the Highlander tournament. Only took three hours to upload...not that I'm bitter... On a related note, I'll be back at college (and good computers/internet) on Sunday. I know you all miss my acupuncture. :3Fun fact: The music in the video started playing on my music player at more or less the same time I started watching it in full once I finished. Hilarity ensued. EDIT: To the person who said "You're playing Spy, the class is all about dick moves," you have my eternal gratitude for such an exploitable soundbite. (Was it D-Dub?)

I'll grant that as written the balance is off, but surely I'm not the only one who hates being shoehorned into a specific loadout if I want a certain bonus not tied to the weapons themselves? (Or alternately, being forced to take on a negative attribute if I wish to use a certain weapon combination -- applies to the Attendant and Saharan Spy only.)
-
What I really want to see is the set bonuses gone entirely and made intrinsic to the actual weapons. Using the Saharan set as an example: L'Etranger +15% cloak on hit -20% damage Silent decloak +.5 seconds flicker time Your Eternal Reward Instantly disguise as backstab victim Kills are silent and discreet No disguise kit IDK, I just feel like the whole set business is a step in the wrong direction.

*waves* Damn my pathetic home internet.
-
Seriously, this.
-
I'd have gone with b2 personally, since test6 probably isn't intended to be a stable release. Maybe the author should take a page out of Icarus's book and make a vanilla A/D version out of it... Thank you Valve, for not including LOD models for the new items. </sarcasm>
-
Why do some map makers insist on hard to parse file control abbreviations? a#, b#, rc#/v#/final seems more than sufficient. I was unaware there were issues with Haarp...what's giving you pause?
-
Fixed. </irrational pacman hate>
-
I'm torn between wanting to wear it all the time and screw the clipping issues with the Fez, or reserve it for when I'm not a Saharan Spy. Decisions...
-
Damn, I'll have a lot of catching up to do once I get back to a decent computer again. (Just two more weeks...) Also, I officially want Le Party Phantom. That thing is classy.
