Yea this is what i'm realizing people have been saying. I thought I came across a way to get a uniform tone on both sides while keeping it wide (and getting a tight quad tracking)but now i'm wondering if left/right really is as tight as I thought it was.

I know you said you use real amps and mics mostly but if you have played around with Le Pou's stuff let me ask you this. In the last version I had on the forums I had three impulse reverbs loaded per guitar which was doubled to 6 each after widening. This would have an effect of 12 impulse reverbs, or 12 mics, being used once the second guitar was added. Would that be overkill in your opinion?

Hey i'm really sorry. Writing up another response. The OCR forums for some reason start to give me problems on occasion and won't connect, post, or send my messages.

Actually i've been thinking about this damn thing all day when I should have been more focused on this rounds remix! I know vocals have had a renaissance at OCR lately and I really want to do a power metal remix before someone else does a better one. I've got the concept of the remix and some of the lyrics but not a single actual note written just yet. This is the kind of the thing that might just be keeping me up tonight. You can growl, and sing. I want to use both should I get this thing going. I don't really care much if it's not the stereotypical powermetal voice, just as long as you'd be up for layering yourself. I am clearly saying too much for something that hasn't started yet BUT! I am getting excited to give it a try.

Of course, thanks alot. I might try to recruit a real guitarist for it though to be honest, it sounds like I wasted almost 500 bucks on something i lusted after for years. Since much of what you do is rock oriented did you have anything specific about articulations? phrasing? You are also a guitarist right? Did you want to contribute to this if you had any extra time? Hey, thanks for listening. I have no problem waiting if you wanted to contribute. I'll work on the transcription but in the meantime did you have any tips on getting those guitars to sound better? I was hoping to get Ministry of Rock for a couple years then when I finally get my hands on it no one has anything good to say about it even though reviews were very positive. (well nothing good to say about what I have done with it at least:) )

question about your drums. How did you get the different mic positions to go to seperate tracks in your daw? If I could get SSD to do that it would be great but I haven't been able to figure it out yet. Did were those drum samples you mentioned loaded in Kontakt?

Yea I am planning on giving the guy a try and see how it goes. Should be a good learning experience since most of what I have done lately is all synths within the box. Looking forward to your SORremix.

Alright, now that that remix is done I'm going to focus on getting the next one ready! Just in case I make it. Goal is to have it finished sometime this week so that I can spend mixing week getting it all recorded. I might also want to bring in a lead player or two i'm thinking for it.
