  1. Yeah, I thought I wanted it fast too. Sorry about making you work like that. Things didn't exactly go as planned, so go ahead and rework it.
  2. Sixto's got more rock than a box of rocks.
  3. Oh, missed that. Well, I guess that pretty much closes the door on this one.
  4. It seems that it's not going to happen. At least, that's what djpretzel says in the writeup for this release. I don't know if that's changed since Compyfox is back now, but he hasn't mentioned it.
  5. Sure, but we're better than those guys. And we do have orchestral: Hale's just yankin' chains.
  6. Hahahahahaha. I would actually LOVE to hear something done in southern rock style on this project. We are actually covering a wide variety of styles with this project, though Hale is right in that the dominant one is along the lines of varying forms of rock. However, there are some incredible straight-up orchestral arrangements from Christian Pacaud, TheDeath, Usa, and Hemophiliac (and some others that I'm probably forgetting) that are certainly epic movie score-worthy. One of them has even already been accepted by the OCR judge's panel. Since you are curious, XG, I will send you a link to a track for you to hear.
  7. Yes'm, you can. Send anything and everything there.
  8. There are also these tracks by Hale-Bopp and djpretzel which are direct from the project. Both should give you an idea of the quality we're looking for.
  9. If Snapple does make a comeback (which I'm inviting him to do, if he happens to read this) and does finish what he claimed to be a near-complete song (though I never heard that version), then I will add it back to the project. If I don't get a complete song from him before this thing finally does come out, I will make the WIP he sent me a part of the bonus package. You can ask himself, although I can't guarantee he'll be nice enough to send it to you.
  10. XMark covered most of the Dragon Warrior soundtrack (including this song, which the medley starts with) in his second place-winning Dwelling of Duels entry from awhile back. Starts slow, but stick with it: http://dod.vgmix.com/past/decjan06/02-XMark-DW-Alefgard-DoD.mp3
  11. Tackle, XMark, and GeoHazard all entered covers of this theme for the Mario DoD awhile back.
  12. You have no idea how much it hurt to drop that one. Snapple said he was almost done with it, but he never came through on that one or FoTS.
  13. Lots of changes were made right before the site went down (and if you'd actually go back and read the previous page or two, you'll find out what happened and see that it's not really down, I just made a mistake and lost the domain name) and the status list has been changed a lot, with new remixers coming on board, and new songs added. The project is definitely NOT in the same state it was in 6 months ago: Please do some research and look at the track listing in the first post of this very thread before posting such ill-informed assumptions. This is far from dead.
  14. Or you could wait until the project is released so there is something to surprise you?
  15. Her lips look really weird. EDIT: I just realized that she looks a lot like Keira Knightley. Or at least reminds me of her.
  16. As a note, the Shoutbox is broken (think this has been mentioned, but it's worth mentioning again, I guess), and you will not stay logged in upon leaving the site: You have to log in each time you visit the forums. I still haven't heard back from my host about switching the domain name. Urgh...
  17. Both of the remixes currently on the site for Super Mario Kart are from Rainbow Road. You can find them here.
  18. hey overcoat read the thread it kinda tells you what happened
  19. Who are you? Oh, I know who you are. How/why did you change your name? And another project? I'm not really seeing that happening.
  20. Well, "good" is not what I'd call the guitar sample: It's still noticeably synthetic, and doesn't sound natural. It doesn't sound horrible, but it could really be a lot better. As for the arrangement itself, you play out the original pretty much verbatim. I agree the original is a great song, but if you plan on submitting this, it might be worthwhile to look more into the arrangement and mix it up a bit. Add in a solo or something.
  21. SEGA Gold? I've never even heard of it... Could you be more specific? What system is it for? Is it some sort of SEGA compilation?
  22. No no no, just the domain name is gone. The site, in its entirety, is still there, along with everything that's been uploaded recently. I'm having some problems getting kylejcrb.net to work properly (I'm gonna have to talk to the Tech Support hosting my site and figure out how they can change which domain name the site points to), so it may be a day or two before we can get that to work. In the meantime, this will remain our main base of operations, since my forums are kinda difficult to deal with right now (as pu pointed out). If you have any WIPs or finished songs, please send them to me or Lea via PM at these boards. EDIT: Okay, the forums should be fixed. You can access them here, and log in normally: http://72.21.48.250/~kylejc5/forum/index.php
  23. Well, kylejcrb.com is a lost cause until June 15, 2008. That's what happens when I forget to pay the bill, I guess. I've picked up kylejcrb.net. The DNS hasn't resolved yet, but it should be up and back to normal soon. I'll post links when it's ready.
  24. lol apples better than m$ rite guyz
