Would you like some more cheese with that whine? I highly doubt Mythril is purposely making you all suffer so much while waiting for the release of this; he's probably doing things like finalizing parts of the website, setting up all the mirrors, and making sure the torrent will be seeded well when the project is ready to go. Would you rather the project get released now and then have something malfunction that prevents you from downloading it and tacks on another couple days of waiting for the release, or would you like to be able to grab it without a problem in a couple hours? Don't push it; you've been waiting this long, and I think you can wait a little while longer.

There's not a whole lot to post about this thread. All the action regarding this project is over here and sometimes in the chat. You should visit those places, too!

Didn't they decide that most of the Doom 2 tracks aren't available for remixing, being that they're based on real songs? Or was that policy never really decided? Half of the songs in the first Doom rip off something from popular metal songs, so that really shouldn't make much of a difference.

UPDATE The website is back up! Fortunately, no data was lost, and things seem to be back in order for now. I went and made a backup of the forum database, and will try to keep it updated as much as possible, just in case a permanent loss of the forum occurs. Well, the HostingOnNet servers appear to be back, but the website is not functional yet. I seriously hope they made a backup, as my newest forum backup is somewhat out of date... EDIT: For those who weren't aware, I am a deeply religious person, and I run a church on the side. Just check KyleJCrb.com for yourself and see (and decide if I'm being sarcastic or not ).

But I'm so lazy Is that something a project coordinator should so openly claim?

UPDATE All right, since the website is still down, this is our base of operations for now. I've put the detailed status list in the first post (let me know if any of it is wrong; I had to rebuild it from scratch), and will take any WIPs you have via PM here. Since most of you are doing so well, I'd prefer not to have WIPs posted publicly here at this point. If you feel the need to get feedback, clear it with me first. I'll be sending out a mass PM (perhaps to all of you, even if I've spoken to you recently) to update everyone on the current status of the project. Remember, the due date is September 12th, but I want to hear WIPs from all of you as soon as possible.

HostingOnNet is a pretty big company with a lot of customers. I don't think they'd run out like that. Maybe they'll be back soon...

Is the Tales project going to be mentioned? Not this time. I wasn't feeling like blatant self-advertisement, and I want to save that stuff for whenever the VGDJ crew decides to interview me.

You're going to pay money to see it? Don't think of it as paying money to see a poor DOOM adaptation. Think of it as paying money to see The Rock. I think TO's original question still stands.

Hey guys, I recorded a community report for next weeks show. Should be in your email.

Some very vasic ideas of cover art/case inserts have been discussed by Lea and I, but nothing is definite yet. Here's the ideas we have: -Two different artwork sizes - Since this project will very likely be around 4 CDs long, we're planning on making two different sizes of artwork that will fit on both extra-large DVD cases (ones that will hold 4 CDs/DVDs) and extra-large CD cases (like the kind multiple disc Playstation games came in). -A full color booklet with information about the games, songs, and remixers - I'm thinking that this will be DVD case-sized only. The actual layout and design of the booklet pages (the front cover being the exception) will be done by myself. Booklet will be in Adobe Acrobat format so it can be easily seen on the web, as well. -Cover artwork/art for the page backgrounds in the booklet to be drawn by Kureejii Lea - The subject matter of the artwork will stay under wraps until the project is complete. I'm not even sure remixers will get to see it. That's it so far. Of course, suggestions are welcome, but it's probably a bit early to really be discussing this in too much detail.

No way. Lea's in the artwork development process. She's very important. Without her, the artwork wouldn't be nearly as awesome as it's going to be when the project is complete. Just look at the forums and the sig banners for proof!
