I love how you apologize to Kureejii LeA for spelling her name wrong, and then proceed to spell it wrong again TWICE in the thread. You guys are the greatest. EDIT: AND in the show notes! Didn't you meet her? Geeze!
-
Actually, Usa, the pages do use invisible tables, so I'm not exactly sure what you mean. And Rexy, I believe the banner is in its own table on the top, not centered in the right column. I just checked the site on 800x600 resolution and it looks okay to me. I can look at the extra long scrolling on some of the pages later, though. I might've messed that up. And before I forget, let's welcome Bladiator to the project! He's picked up Last Battle from Symphonia. We're getting close to filling this thing up!
-
You mean you don't? Gosh, browsing OCR must be murder on the table sizes. I'll see what I can do.
-
I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "having to scroll much", because on most pages, I hardly have to scroll at all (the exceptions being the Tracklist and the Banners page, which are just really long). Unless something crazy is going on your guys' end...
-
That's odd. I'm assuming you're using Safari? You shouldn't have to scroll much at all... The navigation, text, and top logo are all right together on my end and in the source code. Hmm...

Brand new website! http://kngi.ne0-net.com/TalesProject/ Okay, so it mostly has the same content at the old one. BUT, thanks to Lea, it's much more organized, it looks much more aethesthetically pleasing, and it's just plain cool. Go check it out, and leave your suggestions if you have any!

OCR01362 - Xenosaga "Ein Anderer Abschied"
KyleJCrb replied to djpretzel's topic in ReMix Reviews & Comments
I've been listening to this one since it's VGMix release a couple months ago, so it's good to see it here. Quite a drastic change of direction from Bowser is Pissed", but, in my opinion, this is a little more listenable (not that BiP was unlistenable; it was just DnB insanity ). Very nice instrumentation with the orchestral bits and the guitar, and of course, the guitar playing is very good. Another worthy addition to anyones playlist. Great work, PriZm. -
Guitar, eh? I can ask around. Rock without guitars? How daring! It'll be interesting to see your first WIP! That's how Motoi Sakuraba does his live original prog rock stuff all the time. He actually uses a keyboard.

Some tiny bits of news to report on this front: Lea and I are working on a new website design, which should go live in the next couple of days. Recruiting work continues, as well, with a few musicians showing some interest, but no definites as of yet. Other than that, work moves along. Please try to keep in contact with me and let me know what you're up to. Remember, if you don't get a WIP to me on or before August 1st, you risk removal from the project. Don't let that happen!

Try the official boards; they have a music forum there.

Unfortunately I don't have as much experience with ToP as I do ToS, so I can't tell you much about Hydropolis. But I can tell you that CC Ricers has now picked up a song: Sheena's theme, from Symphonia. Welcome aboard! Also, Nick Tam, who recently released an arrangement of Presea's theme from ToS over at VGMix, is now involved, claiming Dry Trail from ToS. Keep sending those WIPs, folks!
-
Seconded.
-
You can go ahead and email it the project email address, talesproject@gmail.comRemoveMeSpamProtection. Master Link and possibly Rexy for Hydropolis, eh? I can do that.

Preview tracks...Hmmm...That might come a little later, after some more progress is made and I receive more WIPs. Or I might just horde everything to myself like a jerk and not let anyone hear it! Hah! (which wouldn't stop you from posting it on the forums or at VGMix, which you're welcome to do for crtique, if you need.) Remember, if you need help with ideas or anything, don't be afraid to post what you have in the thread and what you might want to do; We're all here to help each other, especially in this stage of the project. And Soraya; I don't mind you picking up another song at all, but wait a week or two before you do so, after the new recruits figure out what they want to do. Thanks!
-
Asterisks mean I have received a WIP from you.
-
May I present: Go check out the artwork page for promotional banners and signature images that you can use to promote the project. And be sure to thank Lea for her hard work on all of this stuff!
-
Here we go with round 2 of recruiting for this project. We only have a few spots left, so keep filling them up! And for those of you who have already joined the project; keep workin' on those songs, and keep me updated on your progress. I'll be checking with a lot of remixers over the course of the next few weeks to see how things are going. Hopefully that will help with the process of getting this project on the road to completion. It will be a long road, but with help and communication with each other, we can make it. The progress being made so far is impressive, and hopefully we will be in Site Projects very soon! EDIT: Oh yeah. Soraya? I'm interested in hearing some of your past arrangements, but I can't seem to find any. Am I overlooking something?
-
Ah, I see now. Disregard that PM I replied back with. I was confused for a bit. Thanks, DarkeSword.
-
Hmmm...Tough to say. I'm hoping that there will be a big conglomeration of raw talent throughout the entire project, and it's looking pretty good so far, provided everyone comes through.
-
Oooh, the Second Act & Final Act...two of my favorites from ToP. All of you better work pretty damn hard on your remixes, or you'll live in hell for mediocrity! I'll love ya for trying, but come on, with the lack of rearranging ToP's soundtrack, I want the best out there possible! There's no way this can be a mediocre project! I'll have to personally ensure that it accomplishes at least the quality of Kong in Concert. Er, well, that's Kyle's job. XD For such a thing that takes months to organize and complete, it should definitely be worth all the effort in the end. If at least most of the people that I have on the project come forth with their songs, I can gurantee that this thing will rock, quite literally. I mean, look at all those guitarists! Anyway, graphics are coming along strong. A new release from Tales of Symphonia went up on VGMix last night, so there is one potential recruit (not for the song they did, though). Hopefully Lea and I can reveal more project details tomorrow, like the name. In the meantime, keep working on your songs, folks! Send in your WIPs as soon as you can!

hmm why is this gonna be moved to Request? all previous projects have been kept in gendisc until they got big enough to get to the site projects, so is this a new policy or something?

Sonic 3 & Knuckles: Project Chaos - History
KyleJCrb replied to k u n g f u c h i c k e n's topic in Projects
You know, with it on a cover like that, the name "Project Chaos" is actually pretty cool. -
Very nice, Usa. Hopefully he'll join up! EDIT: I believe today will be the day this thread gets moved to the ReQuests forum. So if you're looking for it and don't find it here a little later on, that's where it'll be.
-
Hehe, that works well enough, Usa. Thanks. The official project name will be unveiled this weekend. Lea's graphics are coming along nicely, I must say.
