My wallet is now empty, and I now own a copy of the Plectra bundle. Let's send this baby for a spin...
-
Note that I didn't actually say you'd be doing your chosen source in your chosen style, though....
You cheeky devil! I had been thinking that you wouldn't make it this easy!
-
Yeah, the pictures were already in left-to-right order of how they were mentioned in the article, Anorax, so it wasn't exactly rocket science to match them up.
Anyway, I linked them up.
I swear to God that the article in the darkstalkers category wasn't there until your (and Polo's) reply. You aren't just ninja editing pages and then acting like it was always there, right? ...right?
Really though, the article and category character list was never there whenever I looked until now.

What HAPPENED is that I was merely trying to discuss bananas at night, and things got out of hand. Now half of the entrants are demised and it's quite sad. I mean, I don't know.
Waiting for Tuesday to see what the next song is. D:
This is why we can't have nice things.
I hope to hop in on this during round 2. BRANG IT OUWNNN!

Don't know if this is "working as intended" or not, but certain mascots under a specific category do not have clickable mascot images on the category page, nor do they have any labels on the page to let the uninformed know the identity of the characters without hunting through the entire OCR mascot list. God I sound like a terms and conditions writer

Slightly redder color for orange link text
Confirmed. Yes, you're going crazy, but this isn't the proof of it.

I'm not going to lie, the change in the subforum arrangement really threw me for a loop when I logged in tonight. Took me awhile to find my way around again... I will say I do like the rearrangement. Now to see if there's any bugs lying around!
-
ok, this thing is seriously cool. Now to actually figure out how to properly use it... Thanks for the find Nase!
-
Oh sweet jesus what have you cooked up for this finale? I'd sign up but it looks like I've got to pick my source from the get-go and I haven't thought that far yet
-
I definitely have to do something for this PRC round!
Thanks to HoboKa for saving this round by submitting a song.Bless you HoboKa, bless you.
I would have made a bonus mix for this round if I had had the time, but I hadn't. Wish I had though.

Jesus Christ what happened in this thread today?
Wait, nevermind, I don't wanna know.
So Willrock, does this mean that late-joining participants aren't really in the "competition" part of this? Which I'm ok with because there's no realistic way I could have won if I tried from the get-go, just want clarification

Wait, you get Kontakt when you buy Komplete anyway, so it'll be 250$ for everything isntead of 200$ + 200$. Right ?
gotta have kontakt first before you can get the crossgrade to Komplete. Basically you're buying Komplete for the price of Kontakt over the course of six months
-
I'd have grabbed that Celestia ISW lib but, you know what I need. So how am I supposed to expect for a price when on sale ?
Unfortunately I can't answer that question as I myself don't know, but you can always shoot for a black friday half-off sale or something. I guess the only thing I could do is sign up for their email newsletters and be informed that way because, again, I don't know.
someday, kontakt... someday...
-
Does ANYTHING run on the Free Kontakt player anymore? I can't remember the last time I saw a professional sample set that didn't say "FULL VERSION OF KONTAKT ONLY".
I think that anything that can be imported as a kontakt library in the library tab can be played in the kontakt player. Otherwise you need the full version.
-
I use Reaper too but I've not yet purchsed Kontakt, which is often required (Full) for some of those libs. Haven't grab the free player tho, is it worht it ?
I basically want an orchestral librairy and a good synth for when I don't feel like ReWiring Reason... I'm not sure if Kontakt is what I need.
I suggest you grab kontakt during a sale, because a large portion of impact soundworks' [and many other sample bundle producers'] stuff needs the full version (thanks to the "demo mode" in the kontakt player). or, you know, warez versions work too. Not advised obviously, but hey, it's technically an option
Also, this is another awesome deal that I'd love to pounce on if I had the money. Unfortunately I don't know if my paycheck will arrive in time

Voting of this round will be different.
I will post all submissions to the Judganator. If the song gets a YES it continues, if it gets a NO it is out. The exception is the case in which all songs get a NO (which is very likely to happen since the OCR standards are high), in that case all songs are resubmitted to the Judganator. If this happens three times in a row, the first submitted song wins.
All songs which get a YES move on to the second round in which they are again submitted to the Judganator. This process continues till there's only one song left. That song will be the winner.
woo! ALL HAIL THE JUDGANATOR, THE ALPHA AND OMEGA
-
nope! you can skip rounds. won't help you win tho!
Ok, good. I really wanted to participate, but I had no way to do it this week.
Next round though, next round...!
-
damn, wish I had had time this week to participate. Does not participating in the opening round disqualify you from further participation?
-
And thanks about pointing out the repetetiveness; it might be obvious to you as a neutral listener, but I have been working on it for too long and don't hear it anymore
Oh, this happens all too much for me. It's waaay to easy to get caught up in a certain part of a project and lose sight of what may need fixing

To me the entire song - and most significantly, the intro - feels very stuffy (I think it has to do with the rhythm guitars). You may want to open up the higher frequencies or cut back on the lower ones, preferably the latter. If you have a spectrometer available, you may want to pull it out here to see where the strongest frequencies are located - my guess in the low to mid-low range. At 1:50(ish), it sounds much more open, but could still use some bass reduction.
I'm also throwing this in, even though it probably doesn't need stating - sans the break in the middle and the intro+outro, your mix is rather repetitive and could use some variation, both with instrumentation and note arrangement during the more repetitive parts

I feel like I'm watching a drug deal or something. Don't mind me, carry on.

wait, no
Happy Birthday!

Wow, those timestamps are seriously out of order too

There appears to be a file error with compo materials on ThaSauce. I keep getting a "Missing FileController" error

D'oh, it appears that it was a bug of some kind, because I had a chrome tab open from before you guys replied, and I took a screenshot (and again after zooming waaay out).
Apparently the article was there, but there was a giant gap in-between the images and said article on my version of Chrome (Chrome 33.0.1750.154 m) fo Win7. However, your editing of the page seemed to fix it Liontamer. So there was a bug, just not the one I thought there was.![:-D](https://ocremix.org/community/uploads/emoticons/default_icon_biggrin.gif)
