I think it could be really useful if OCR could work with the BB code for embedding Soundcloud player waveforms into the forum [soundcloud]soundcloud_url[/soundcloud]
I know some people use SoundCloud to host their wips. It's not as common as other methods, but probably used enough to consider this option.
It would also help with people in the Post Your Original forums if they are using SoundCloud to promote a [free] album via a soundcloud "set".
That's my 2 cents on this

I'm liking hakstock's idea of how to run the embeds - to not actually load them until a flash/javascript load trigger is clicked to open it in a flash/js popup
I was also wondering about OCR having SoundCloud embed support as well ([soundcloud]http: //soundcloud/artist/track_url[/soundcloud])

Hey guys, I'm considering a possible name change from my current name of "Electrolisystem" (which basically came from wanting to copy the username of someone on Spore. Said person used a slight misspelling of photosynthesis, and it kind of grew from there) to something I want to use for actual remixes and music.
I'm not sure whether to use "Anorax" or "AnoraxAudio" as my username, but either one is preferable. I'll probably retire this moniker to be used as a password instead...

I'm sure I can free up a second port on my router for non-vanilla, however I may only be able to have a single dynamap running at one time. David should have started working on the whitelist already, I'll get in touch with him today.
Is there something that could be done with the /permissions plugin or something?
And as for a seperate port, if the permissions thing could work out to distinguish between vanilla and non-vanilla, couldn't you also have the server run two worlds for each?

Sounds like a good plan, Technoman helped me rebuild this time, but if this happens again it'd be good to have backups ready to go.I'm going to start an autobackup system, and recommend to Dave and the maintainers to have BigBrother installed again if that's possible. Either that or we're going whitelist only, I'm getting fairly annoyed at the amount of griefing that's happened on the OCAD server as of late.Edit: scratch that, starting very shortly we ARE going whitelist only.
When OCAD goes whitelist, is it still going to be vanilla gameplay or will we be able to opt out of vanilla and possibly have a seperate section or map just for non-vanilla or something?
I dunno, I think I'm one of the few who don't really care for pure vanilla gameplay

It's a relatively minor offense, since this guy doesn't get much traffic and he's not been online for years, but's someone taking Zircon & Tyler's "When All Hope has Faded" track.
If that bugs you, Zircon, you can go ahead and send a notice out against him. There's not much else one can do with it, though, seeing as the uploader looks to have moved on, so it's not like he can just edit it or anything.
I don't think it matters by now, the guy has 1 subscriber

I've been a fan of OCRemix for some time, and I think I actually joined the forum a long time ago - like, years ago - but I've long since forgot about it, otherwise I'd log back in. xD
Well, my name is Aaron, and while I'm not a musician by hobby or trade - I really like the fact OCRemix exists to appreciate the musical art form; not so much the game music, although that is certainly apart of it, but music as a whole from a lot of great artists here.
I do appreciate a lot of musical styles, some of my notable favorites being swing, jazz, mostly classical, and some ambience/techno/trance. I dunno if Broadway counts any, lol. xD
But that said, music plays a role in my life whenever I'm doing my webcomic that's been around for a year. Music definitely helps keep the ideas flowing and the motivation on hope to imagine scenes for the series and stuff like that; it's quite amazing what it can do.

OCAD minecraft is down until further notice. My fiancee's motherboard borked and her new one takes DDR3 instead of DDR2. The only spare DDR3 that works is in the Minecraft box, so I have to salvage that until either a) I can afford buying replacement DDR3 for the box or
someone sends me some DDR3 to put into the box.Sorry for the inconvenience.

1.2.4 is compatable with 1.2.5 soooooo I would hazard a guess taht both servers are 1.2.5
I don't think Mojang released a 1.2.5 server version...

Any chance this server or other servers related to this thread are located on classic multiplayer?
I can't find this game in stores yet, so I'm stuck with classic multipayer.
Fun game though, played it since Monday. =)
Minecraft is only purchaseable online. Sorry.
Something to do with the way Minecraft updates via dlc from it's launcher, and to update the game must communicate with the Minecraft game server (not multiplayer) in order to auto-update.
That, and not having to create physical copies is a lot cheaper.

The reset was a voted on thing for the new plugins we are putting in the server. We are adding things to do incase someone wants to actually play the game and be legit about it. The vote was close, 6 to 5 in favor of the reset.
Speaking of plugins, what is OCAD running right now?
