  1. Honestly, you guys could probably get away with only two genres. Songs are either techno, or probably not techno (maybe) right? Why confuse the listeners with three whole possible genres?
  2. Finally had a chance to really sit down and play one of these yesterday. my friend bought Rayman Legends so we played for a good five hours. I haven't had that much fun in a multiplayer game in ages, though I think we spent almost as much time fighting each other and charge-punching each other into pits as we did platforming. Also kung foot may be one of the greatest minigames ever created. I'm definitely getting one of these before christmas.
  3. no suggestions for Ni No Kuni yet? also, the jak and daxter HD collection. one is a straight platformer, but two and three are almost a "what if grand theft auto was a platformer?" vibe, introducing vehicles and guns. also the massive catalog of PS1 rpgs deserves a mention.
  4. This may be one of my favorite debuts on the site that I have heard. This was a fantastic, hypnotic beat. During my first listen, I found my eyes closed and the world around me completely shut out, the ending being the only thing that brought me back up. Excited for the future.
  5. So, I was wandering around my local Walmart when I came across this: http://www.greatestvideogamemusic.com/ on the new release rack. My mind was fairly well blown, as I had been searching for this for about two weeks now, and the last place I expected to find it was Walmart. Do you think this means VGM is finally gaining a wider public acceptance?
  6. Man, Akumajo is one of my favorite remixers, and this may be my favorite of his tracks so far, so that's saying something. Quite possibly my favorite from the year, not gonna lie.
  7. $50 in, really looking forward to this. Fingers crossed about that stretch goal!
  8. yes, but WHY would that be a joke? the Wii U could use a heavy-hitter in it's corner, and I think it might be kind of interesting to see what they would do with this.
  9. this whole steamcalculator thing seems like fun. http://www.steamcalculator.com/id/twilightsquid%25252F ...damn.
  10. Pretty sick stuff man, I really liked your 24 shades album, and I'm a big fan of laidback, chill electronica like this. Hope to see more soon.
  11. gotta admit, you know how to market something. your description has me quite curious, may need to pick this up at some point in the near-to-distant future.
  12. So, is this floating around in the ether, or has this died? Because if so, that kinda sucks, sounded interesting.
  13. I've been playing Minecraft for a bit, and my friend and I recently started a world together. I made a video with the things we've created so far, and I was wondering if you guys could offer some pointers and some criticism (on both my creations and my commentary) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ic43wU3iXmw
  14. I was kinda lukewarm on the arrangement, until about 1:45 when the piano came in, then I began to thoroughly enjoy it. Then the piano left, and I was sad, until it's repeat performance at about 3:05. I'm not particularly digging this mix, but there is a pretty fair base here, and it seems like you have a lot of potential for electronica mixes, so I'll be on the lookout for your next remix.
  15. Personally, I've only seen Postal from Uwe Boll, but I found it rather funny. I enjoyed Final Fantasy: the Spirits Within, I never understood all the hate for the movie, I like the visuals, the story, and the acting, and I never understood why " Thisisn'tFinalFantasy RAGERAGERAGERAGERAGE!!!!!!!!!"
  16. There's a song called "Shinra Shuffle" from Final Fantasy 7 that I like a lot, and it's big band. this is for readers of the thread: http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR01847/
  17. I'm sure many of you have noticed by now, but Steam has a treasure hunt going on right now. One of the objectives is to have 10 friends on your list, so in the spirit of shameless plugging, my steam name is twilightsquid Help me, help yourselves, make some friends. Pretty win-win for everyone, wouldn't you say?
  18. Personally, I liked all of the albums. Guess it's just me though.
  19. The Dark Spire is a pretty hardcore old-school RPG (think Wizardry). it can be crazy hard, but if you like old-school RPG's it's pretty good, and you can probably find it with the soundtrack for like $7-$8. Super robot Taisen OG Saga: Endless Frontier is one of my favorite DS RPG's. It had a lot of humor, it had a great battle system with completely customizable combos (you build your personal combo from a list of available attacks), timing elements in battle, character chain attacking, and it was semi-difficult (bosses had a lot of health).
