  1. a moving piece, the dual melodies in this one will be sure to leave you with that secure feeling. i especially like the part ‘round 1:15 when the first dual melody enters. and then when it re-enters after the "strago" theme, i feel a tug at my heart
  2. been wondering whether you'd ever come across a tune from the dude that could be considered straightforward catchy? well look no further. the forceful, driving beat in this is too good for words. the more "serious sequel" mix, Bloody Bath, is equally good
  3. there’re some instances when the lead in a song lags and it’s whorrible (i.e., Ian Van Dahl - Secret Love), and there’re some instances when you can Tell it was done intentionally and the result is good. this is very good. fits the mellow lounge sound perfectly
  4. kawaii ^_^o cute ain't enough to describe this. what a sickeningly happy tune (in the best possible way). makes me wanna kill something
  5. very scenic; i'm scaling the mountain. the way the drums are placed emotivates the feeling, and the bagpipe lead blends in well. the abrupt ending's comical, but with a hint of irony, almost as if implying a person falling to their doom after they’ve reached the peak
  6. i usually find FF tunes boring and avoid 'em. this one's just spacey atmosphere so the same should apply, right? not quite. there's a li'l bit around 1:25 that makes me feel all good inside. the Whole piece also has an element of suspense which works to its advantage
  7. who's one of the best composers on OC? [maze]dude, please make some mixes like your original works. Goodbye at the Airport is one stunning piano track. mixes like Bamboo Moon, Willow Weaver, Electric Fantasy 2, and Ghost Circus would be great as well anyway this is probably my favorite version of this "zeal" theme. no one can mess with these choir synths. great mellow groove
  8. i played earthworm jim on my friend's sega before and i liked how the levels were mostly underground and caves. with that said, the lead melody in this is cool. it's got an endless quality that makes me feels like i'm exploring in the darkness. the choir synth at the end adds to the dark feel as well
  9. this is in the same vein as bramblesinthebreeze which is one of the many reasons why i like. this time, protricity adds to the ambient groove by harmonizing synths and guitar. the effect is sex to the ears
  10. the intro alone Makes this song. parts around 0:25, 0:35 sound so fucking climactic. don't even doubt the rest of the mix; this shit is hardcore
  11. from the very first note, you're treated to some bouncy beats. lots of standout parts, including the fun breakbeat sections and my favorite, the bass solo with accompanying ambience around 2:45. yowza!
  12. we love our bass, eh. it practically sugarcoats this entire mix. then again, it's the very reason why i like this one. love the bass solo around 2:20
  13. i can see why dan arranged this to accommodate a battle atmosphere. and the arrangement itself is great, no doubt about it. the trouble's really the sound quality. if this was re-mastered, i know it’d be a hit. as it is right now, the exceptionally catchy lead melody’s the only source of appeal
  14. this is Dream Dance at its finest. been listening to this before i go to sleep for several months now. awesome bass drops and synth. deep, rich sound. wouldn’t change a thing
  15. CheDDer proved his rhythm skillz, but this was a li'l disappointing. while his first mix was creative, this is straightforward techno. regardless it's great stuff. digging the subtle lead melody and overall movement. sw33t midbreak
  16. excellent job, CheDDer Nardz. this has the whole early 90s oldschool dance feel (Technotronic, Culture Beat, etc). starts off almost industrial-like, the lead melody enters (and man, the string-y/triple layer to it is g00d). then an awesome handclap solo steals the attention; very befitting of the genre
  17. way back when i'd first heard this, i found the intro to be quite emotional. really, when you go with Canon you can't go wrong. the original shines in the happy hardcore genre, and the mix itself induces fond memories of playing SFII with my friends
  18. solitude. this mix makes me feel like the loneliest person in the world
  19. from the mellow intro to the energetic midsection (lovin' the song more after the 2:08 mark), and a pulsating beat to top things off, this is a highly addictive tune. check it
  20. this mix greatly outdoes the original. it starts off battle-like much in the same manner before facing the boss, a pleasant drum'n'bass loop enters, and then my two favorite parts: at 1:26 the transition's especially sweet since it clues you in on what's coming. then at 1:50.. BAM! euphoric bliss
  21. what's great about this is the way the lead melody sounds both depressing and happy at the same time. truly is a song you can empathize with/would Want to empathize with. git
  22. patience, my friend. you’re gonna need it while listening to this. that said, this must be my favorite mix by Zeratul. it’s ironic since i find true ambient/minimalist music such as this boring. and yet, it resonates within me to the core. the steady buildup on the lead seals the deal for me
  23. max it up for the intro (that BASS -- funk-ay), but the rest is already loud..what the hell, i'm young, my ears can take it. Amazing stuff from praslowicz. rock on
  24. trippiness. tell your friends you got high offa mutagene's ultraman mix. it's defining songs like these that make OCR worth the visit ^^
