I really like it, I play as recon a lot, mostly as a support character :3
-
yeah I still play, I can't play at home much some sometimes I just log on and log off. School's my main place. I do like the new levels a lot, they're really eerie and keep you on your toes. But have you been watching...the new PVP, lockdown, is getting closer. Some of you actually pay for energy so you might be eligable to play test it this weekend at certain times (not for Steam though, but if you have a separate account just buy energy there and trade it to yourself on steam if you wanna try it). They have a nondisclosure agreement on it but some people still post videos. So here's a video I found. (may get deleted) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QSVhruaBcSk

I was lucky to get mine on the first day they offered this promo since I don't play on the weekends. man...I've still got so many recipes to try out...my friend likes the electron bomb D:

There's an OCR guild (somewhere on the first page I think maybe?) but I'm not in it. I already joined a guild before I paid attention to this topic here. Still, don't underestimate random people, some of them are pretty good and can make good friends later if you need to check recipes or join runs on more profitable stages. That's why I actually keep a fairly large friends list, not because I know these people, but because I can use them to my advantage (and vice versa of course).

I got a decent rank on the first day (top 140 something) but I wasn't able to play yesterday so I'm sure I'm way lower now and people will be better >.>; still, I'll do my best to win. Heck, even if you lose you get a token so that's kind of nice. 16 more losses til I can get a new...something. I'm tempted to aim for the stun bomb upgrade but I might try to sell a mod cap thing (whatever you use to make the new trinkets, I forgot the name).
-
yeah, if you have more than 50 of any item(that's not five stars), you really should consider selling stuff. You won't really need that many for personal use unless you just have the energy to ragecraft things. Be sure to upgrade any UV haze bombs you want now, soon they're going to become two star haze bombs and you won't be able to use them to make special lines of Shivermist/Ash/VV anymore I'm kind of disappointed since I did want to get a very high UV one, one day. Even though I do have bomber armor, I would like the option to go without it sometimes haha...

lol well you can always go to other tier 3 areas. I mean FSC is endgame (for now) but there's lots of other levels to explore after all. Tier 3 depths that aren't FSC can get you some decent cash off of mats if you're lucky (aka get a sun silver somehow) and I suppose you CAN use your pepperbox even in FSC. Its only the damage that would be useful, not the effect (though please stay away from the oilers lol..)

lol I was gonna pass by and say that but then I lost internet XD. Didn't matter though. I couldn't play through much of it. They released the unbind shop and UV rerolling today, its cool but I don't have the money for it. Anyone dreaming of selling their 5 star items will be a bit disappointed. 4000 for the unbind.

I love the new boss (only got to play it twice on the first day of its release). Its so punishing when you don't know what you are doing. Absolutely got trashed my first go around, I mean I won but it cost me 40+20+10+5 (75) revive. I didn't have vitapods but I did have health packs and it still did that to me. The second go around...super easy. If you learn from the beatdown you'll take the first time around, the stage is easy. It did force me to bring out my silversix to speed things up, shivermist wasn't going to cut it and nitro didn't seem like it was useful either. Best part about those stages, it teaches teamwork. You don't work as a team, you fail. Oh and you'd better have elemental defense of course.

Official Sonic Generations Thread

I must say I'm enjoying this so far.. -
Well...I definitely overlooked that then lol. Though I'd probably still go to haven, most of the time I need him anyway its either AH related or crafting (which I usually do in Haven as well). Good luck in Tier 3. Everything is tougher there, obviously, but I mean you get hit, you can watch the health bars fly haha...sometimes the game actually is nicer to you when you have lower health. I've lost more bars of health when I was at full health and got hit then when I was below half and got hit. Doesn't always happen. Or maybe its another one of those things where the bar lies and your beginning health is somehow worth more
-
Yeah...the non reversible side of things killed that for me. I mean I might one day use steam actively again but I have a feeling that's not easy to install on every school computer with varying permissions and whatnot. Spiral Knights itself is pushing it. If I ever play dedicatedly at home, or ready to quit SK, then I might try for the steam bonus since there was no time limit. Kind of weird Brinks is only in Emberlight though...no love for Moorcraft? I mean I've been tier 3 for awhile (though I mostly live in t2) but I don't see why he should avoid Moorcraft. Kozma is in both and stuff...
-
ah retrodes...they're always annoying...always. No matter what kind. I think the only tolerable one for me is poison...
-
lol maybe I'll find out for myself, I might get to play today if I'm lucky...but then again I spend most of my time half JK running so I tend to not see anything unless its slimey
-
Guess I was looking in the wrong places, but I found one topic about it. One picture out of several http://i55.tinypic.com/mshxkl.jpg Looks...fun... lol.
-
They did something to fire and shock? Guess its time to read the forums, though they'll probably fix it soon
-
really? I figured the versions would've been the same, that's gotta suck...but oh well...I'm happy the steamers are there
-
You get groundbreakers helm and suit on your account as bonus armor, untradable but only beta players can wear it. They said they'll announce Steam and non steam integration soon. So you can get the best of both worlds. Sometimes you do so much damage to it that it doesn't last long, he has like set defense up intervals I believe, but honestly, it does very little. This fight is only hard if you try too hard. (though you should be in at least 2* equipment, that's what its designed for but you can do it with less I suppose). The in game notes said it was meant for masters of Tier 1 so that means 2*+equip. Wanna know the ultimate winning strategy(this is a lie)? Stand right in front of the bell and shield, don't ever even move. If you see him get close, hit it (close is usually that area where the spikes are and an imaginary radius in front of the bell where there aren't any spikes). If you fail, just continue shielding until the bell pops up again. If your shield breaks, then run around a bit randomly but always go back to the bell. Once he's stunned let your teammates go whack on him, if you wanna whack him too, go for it. It's not the most exciting method but guaranteed to work Oh and outside of boss fights, learn not to revive so much now, its hardly ever worth it, your teammates can revive you for "free" (the cost is half their health) but there's benefits to that too. In other news, I can't play today but I wish I could..I need to take advantage of these low CE PRICES!!
-
I think its cool but I doubt I can even use Steam to play the one game on that list I already play, Spiral Knights. Still, it's good that the service is embracing "free" games now
-
They won't. At least not yet. They're working on cross implementation but that's sometime next week. As of this time, only someone who started new on steam is going to get the chance to get the bonus gas mask costume and blah blah blah.
-
lol. Went on a trip and I'll leave it at that. Anyway, the new piercing...makes JK gates pretty hard man lol. Now I was playing before they fixed the spikes appearing through blocks thing, but still, I expect it to be almost as hard as what I faced earlier. Piercing is no joke anymore XD But I still think I want to keep my elemental armor
-
I won't be accessing the game for some days (or the internet that much itself lol...). But I heard energy prices went up again D: But before I left I had fun running Snarby. I got the spine cone and the sword. Didn't have much time to play with the sword because it was before the last bugfix. Sword is nice for what it is. But there's a few gunpuppies and lumbers on that stage and piercing damage fails so hard against them... Fear not the random parties though, this IS tier 1. When I had my first fight against snarby, I thought I'd have a hard time if I went in with all tier 2 armor/weapons (+proto shield). I didn't. Once I realized all I had to do was stand in the center and shield until its time to hit the bell. I let everyone have fun running around pointlessly. I DID warn them to do the same once I figured it out. But when I did the same thing with some fellow four-five star people later...I saw them doing the same thing XD

Just a note, Faust can curse enemies on its non charged attack. It will never curse you on a noncharged attack though. As far as the original question...I don't know what to say. I think only about their evolved forms (only two of which I've used). Faust - Curse support on anything. Good against gremlins and slimes. Avenger - Good high elemental damage. Kills constructs and zombies. Silversix - meant for FSC, the bullets can glitch through the shield barriers a bit so you can stand back and do damage without getting hurt. Zombies are weak to its elemental side. Blackhawk - ...I don't know...I guess gremlins/slimes again? Also yay for the new boss

I'm scared of the CIV. I heard basically it's only good on the undead and less than effective on everything else (compared to Levi) Didn't know that...I just kind of figured the fact that it looked bigger...was just that. A cosmetic thing. Glad to know it has some other bonus than a slight damage increase.
